Unauthorized Charges

This company is the biggest scam ever! I ordered a free trial offer that wasn't really free! It first cost me $25 for 2 mugs, 2 travel mugs, and one bag of coffee, which wasn't a bad deal. The scam was that the company IMMEDIATELY started CHARGING me for shipments of coffee every 2-3 days, charging my credit card $38.95 three times in six days! I called immediately and told them that I didn't order all that coffee and I wanted the charges credited right away. I still have NOT received my credit of $116.85! Everytime I call, which has been MULTIPLE times, I am told "It takes 10-14 days to receive a credit." And, not one person I have talked to had an EXPLANATION why they were CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD MULTIPLE TIMES! Well, it didn't take 10-14 days for them to receive the MONEY THEY STOLE FROM ME! I didn't order their products then decided that I didn't want them! THEY JUST CHARGED MY CARD 3 TIMES FOR COFFEE I THAT I DID NOT ORDER! I called again tonight and left a message on their machine again! They NEVER call back. So, I will call in the morning again! BEWARE OF SEATTLECOFFEEDIRECT.COM, THEY ARE HUGE SCAM ARTISTS. They should NOT be allowed to do business!

Sincerely,

Very P***ed off in Michigan.

Overcharges
I signed up for a mail order coffee club. It was supposed to be a once-a-month thing, but they are sending me packages more than once a week! I called and canceled.
Don't join this coffee club!

Unauthorized charges
I just checked onlilne and they have charged me 38.95 in addition the $25. Apparently they have been placed in PENDING status by WaMu, so I am going to try to contact the bank and see if we can stop this before we get started. Thanks for the heads up!

Excessive Charges
Total rip off.. I signed up for this service with the understanding I could cancel at any time. They charged me the initial $25.00 then two days later $38.95 and another day later $38.95. My credit card company called and asked if this was a fraud charge. I called them and got major attitude about how this is what i signed up for. I told them i was not expecting two charged of $38.95 each. They said they would cancel my account. So far no credit to my account. Their coffee sucks also.

Overpriced / Unwanted Shipments
I wish I would have read these complaints before trying the offer from Seattle Coffee Direct. During a survey I was offered two 12-ounce bags of coffee, two coffee mugs and two travel mugs for $5. However, with shipping the total was closer to $25. To make matters worse, automatic shipments started every two weeks with billing almost immediately. The auto-shipments were for two 12-ounce bags of coffee and with shipping totalled $35. That's $1.46 an ounce!! In retrospect, you could buy directly from Starbucks and receive two 16-ounce bags (with shipping) for around $27, coming to $0.87 per ounce.

Do not buy this coffee! If you have, cancel immediately. Even then, watch your credit card because they will continue to ship/charge and you will have to eventually change your credti card number and dispute the charges. Too much headache for coffee that is mediocre at best and nearly double the cost of Starbucks.

Freud . . . as listed w/ my bank.
Okay, this site has helped me a lot because I have been scammed by this company as well. They advertise under the name SEATTLE COFFEE DIRECT but charge you under two different names METRO COFFEE ROASTERS CO. and BELLAZE COFFEE & TEA. Now what I did was use my debt card because that's my main account and all that jazz. Thankfully, I did not use a credit card because I never check the charges made on them, where as I check my checking account every day at least once a day. I noticed the first charge automatically and ran straight to my bank and turned off my debt card and filled a freud claim through my bank since I did not sign a membership w/ the company. (I only ordered ONE item) Then I got their number and called to cancel the "membership" that I did not agree to. NOw what I should have done right away was email my bank as well because I received a second charge that I did not agree too and was assured was not coming. I was looking for the refund coming in "3-5 business days" as said in their email to me.

Yesterday (monday the 12th of march) I called them again to tell them my issue with their company and got a second story of how I was sent two shipments and one would have to returned before a refund while the second shipment was stopped, but the payment went through. So I automatically went to my bank and this is what I suggest you all do if you want to keep your account:
1) transfer all your funds into a savings or credit card that allows you to get cash.
2) turn OFF any overdraft protection security nets you have in place.
3) send an email to you bank/card through your bank/card web site telling them the situation, give them the names of the company AND ASK THEM TO STOP PAYMENT TO THIS COMPANY!

Mine did and it took them ONE day to get back to me about it. Good luck everyone!!!

Over supply and charged.
Seattle Coffee Direct has sent me 3 shipments of the "sample "..coffee offers... I dont care for the coffee and want my name completely off list.
I accepted their $5, 00 offer... via PC, not expecting 3 deliveries.
I want written notice that they have deleted my name

Over Charging
SCAMMERS AND CROOKS!
DO NOT SIGN-UP FOR ANY OF THEIR PROMOTIONS—DO NOT BUY THEIR COFFEE, MUGS, GRINDERS, ETC!!
The first order was billed at $25.00 --this amount bought 2 coffee mugs, 2 metal coffee mugs and 2 bags (12 oz. each) of flavored coffee and no grinder which was offered in the sign-up order. I received my order quickly and then 2 days later on a Friday received more and checked my account and saw that they charged me $38.95 using the name “Bellezza Coffee” on the charge. They said if I returned the package (not the coffee) un-opened then they would refund me and not charge for shipping—I opened it to find out what or why it was sent so soon…so now I re-taped package and will try to put “return to sender” and take it to the post office. I have to now report to my bank and stop all payments from these crooks.

Misleading and overbilling
I signed up for the Introductory Offer of $25 for 2 bags (12oz. each) of coffee, and 4 mugs. The website claimed it's a monthly program. However, on day one, I was billed for the introductory offer plus first month shipment of $38.95. And then one week later, I am billed again for another $38.95. When I called the representative, they claimed I have signed up for a weekly program. The company is apparently engaging in a highly misleading practice and ripping off consumers.
