Misrepresentation of Product by Samsung
We have three Samsung Blackjack II phones and have run into a problem with the way that Samsung represents their products. The phones all function with no problems, and this is not a warranty issue. These phones were purchased directly and not from AT&T which is our current carrier. The issue comes from the phones not being able to block a specific number that calls in. Our previous Blackberry phones would do this with no problem. I went to an AT&T corporate store and asked this specifc question, but they were not sure, and called Samsung for me to ask this question. I was told by Samsung that I could block numbers and that this phone was "vastly superior" to anything that Blackberry had to offer. However, now I find out that I cannot block numbers, and as suspected, Samsung refuses to own up to this. The products were misrepresented to us and I asked that they be replaced. I have spoken to Lindsey Williams and Tiffany Evans in their Executive Customer Relations Department today, and they tell me that they will not address this issue. They tell me that I couldn't have talked to Samsung when AT&T called me from their store and handed me the phone, which is a straight lie, and secondly that they did not misrepresent the products. I am a mechanical engineer by profession and tend to take other companies at their professional word unless given reason not to. Samsung has give me a concret reason not to take them at their word. I have been kicked and pushed under the carpet and plan to make this information available to everyone I know so that they may avoid Samsung for future purchases. I do not appreciate being lied to and further do not appreciate the lack of professionalism of Tiffany Evans just a few mintues ago. I would recommend that everyone stay away from Samsung phones.
