Bills despite Disconnection
Follow-up e-mail 1 -

Can someone respond to this please? I have been receiving calls for payment of the dues which does not exist.

Mr. Pawan Kumar - Please respond to this e-mail before sending any further notices.

Mr. Babu Ranjan (CyberMedia) - This is the actual plight of Reliance customers as opposed to the excellent picture that is painted by your articles.

Mr. Chairman - Can you please have someone respond to this please?

Mr. Gopalan/Ms. Chandrashekaran - Can we expect a response? Alternatively, please direct to me someone who actually assists customers at Reliance.

It is surprising to see this e-mail. It clearly proves the dismal condition of billing at Reliance ADA.

I had called up the Reliance call center on Sep 27, 2009 to have my broadband connection disconnected. They took the case and after 15 days I received a call from them asking me as to why i want to disconnect. Then i received another call apologizing for the delay in disconnectng the line. Finally, after one month of continous follow-up the line was disconnected on Oct 27, 2009.

Since then despite the termination of the line I have been receiving bills till date. I have been religiously calling up the call center and following up on this issue and I am assured everytime that the bill will not be generated and the same story starts next month.

Cherry on the cake is this legal notice. I wonder how the whole thing works? or is it just the way Reliance ADA works? or is it some new strategy that one is trying to implement?

Whatever the case, it makes a good case of customer harassment. Wonder how things work with this place.

Can someone find a resolution or suggest how one can file a case with the consumer forum?

P.S. I just got off a call with Harish or Satish (Apparently TL with the call center, for sure he needs help!), he mentioned that the outstanding is 900 INR (approx). This Notice mentions 1122.53/-.. Do your systems speak to each other?

Our client also states that they have provided the Phone Services to you on
the assurances given by you that you would pay the Monthly Bill mount as
per the schedule and on such representations, our client was induced in
extending the services as requested by you, however, you have failed in
making the payments as per the payment schedule as committed by you. That
your action of availing the Phone Services provided by our client on
inducement by misrepresentation and your further action of non payment of
the outstanding payable to our clients amounts to an offence of Criminal
Breach of Trust and Cheating punishable U/s 406 & 420 of Indian Penal Code.

I had applied for internet connection on 4th apr 09 by paying Rs 500 through cheque.
Their people promised me to provide connection within 7 working days.
But when almost a month passed i didnot get the conection, i registered a complain but was in vein.
Bill was keep on generating without the connection.
Finally i requested the customer care for termination on 2nd week of May (Complain no: 99316838) and my connection was terminated on 16th of may 09.
so far i had not received any modem or phone.
Suddenly on 20th may their tech. person came & appologige for the delay and gave me the modem & phone, saying that he will reactive my account.
After that also i couldnot access web. Then again i registered a complain with customer care.
They told the connection was terminated on 16th may 09 and cannot be activated.
What does it mean?? These people have cheated me. Now they are asking the modem back.
I have not returned the modem so far because i need my 500 bucks back. They are unable to give connection, That is not my fault.
Just to save face the modem was given after disconnection.

This type of nuisance 420 is not expected from such a reputed company.

It seems was it not the end of trouble, when you finally chose to
provide me internet 2 months after I applied for it !
My problems seem to increase day by day just because i chose Reliance.

The issue now is that I applied for Rs 649(300 kps) combo plan, but
your engineers have given me the 75 kbps plan.

Somebody told me that call the Reliance Care No. and tell them your problem.
I have told my problem to 4 different Customer Care Executives on 4
different days.
Everytime they assured me that it will get sorted out in 24 hours but
it does not.

They told me that they could have updated my account info but MY
DETAILS HAVE NOT BEEN UPDATED in the system.
I have been hearing this for 5 days now.

I searched the internet for people who had problems like me and
without any surprise i found many people having the same problem.

I am getting frustrated by these daily dose of reliance problems, and
seriously urge you rectify it. There is a whole bunch of people who
are like me...FRUSTRATED

It would be so nice of you if you update my details on the system and
change my plan to 300kbps.

Nasty MArketing
Reliance uses goondas to sale their broadband. In our locality they have installed few DB box and sending door to door sales boys to push sale their connection. While they have appointed few boys who are cutting off bsnl cables ... so that people who use bsnl broadband suffer and finally opt for reliasnce.

If they are so aggresive with their selling i worry what will happen if we bsnl users throw off bsnl connection (as the service is distrubed by reliance bad marketing practice) and go for it.

used id being barred
my broadband connection was in the name of manoj gupta and even the phone connection...later we had returned the instrument and got the number changed and even got the connection in the name of smt. mamta gupta the id being the same...now the id has been temporarily barred..and i am not able to understand the reason behind it...we are paying the monthly bills which are being payed in the name of smt. mamta gupta...we are receiving the bills from that name and when being asked at the cutomer care...they say that the connection is still in the name of manoj gupta...though we receive the bills which show that the payment is being made in the name of smt. mamta gupta..we have been paying all the bills with no due bills..but at the customer care they say that the connection is still in the name of manoj gupta and there is some due bill..which is clearly wrong...

Apply for net connection taken 500 rupees, not installed yet
Hi,
We have applied for reliance broadband connection plan 499 at our residence 197, Moti Dungri behind Ganesh Mandir, Jaipur Rajasthan at 18th of aug 2009 receipt number 17800011247982 paid 500 rupees to their executive Rajdeep Pareek, who had told us that connectionwill be installed before 22 august, but no connection installed at given that. After our complaint against Rajdeep Pareek they have forward our case to Mahesh Agarwal on 26th aug 2009 who said that broadband connection will be installed before 30-08-2009. But still there is no connection installed. No one is telling but the hell is going on? Even they are picking up the calls. If reliance is so big brand then what is the advantage to public. Really their service has upset. Really harassed from such a bad service even taken money of installation and service they are offering.

Someone save me from Reliance Goondas
Oh horrible.
Reliance is good for only one thing. Recovery of money.
Even after complaining with the below mention, my problems have increased. I have Reliance goondas knocking on my door for recovery of money.
I have been pleading with them not to call and harass and now they are knocking at my door.
I don't know what could be next. I have file a complaint with Ministry of Telecommunication, for which the Ministry has forwarded my complaint to one Devender Singh, he hasn't replied to that yet.


Dear Sir/Madam,

I was a subscriber of Reliance Broadband, for their wimax connection with cousuner number(369314541060) in bangalore .
For months I faced lot of difficulty with their pathetic speed and harassment from their collections department for payment of bills.
I have following complaints against them
1. My speed was very low. I had taken 300kbps and I used to get download speed of les than 10kpbs. I had several complaints without any result.
2. I used to get call for payment of bills from 15 of every-month for a bill which had due date of 1 or 2 the next month.
Fed up with their service I asked for immediate termination of service, for which they had given me complaint ids (98816104), (98747182).I had asked for termination before 21-May-2009.<br />
After that they didn't collect the Modem and antenna from my place for some days. After making calls to them they came and collected on 05-Jun-2009 with receipt.
Now they are harassing me for the payment of one month of broadband charges June), without me using their services for single min during that time. I didn't even login to their services.
Initially they said, there will not be any charges since the delay is from their side to take the Modem and antenna and now they are harassing me for payment of on full month.
Kindly look into the matter, as I am facing harassment from their calls and mails.

Double bills received
Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a reliance broadband customer. My Subscriber Id: 245595449213.

I got this connection a few months back and have been regularly paying my bill. A month back, a reliance broadband agent once visited us and told us about a new reliance plan and told us that we could opt for the new plan. I filled in a form and he left.

1) But instead of changing my plan, he gave me a new connection 257142454391.
2) He did not request for the termination of my old connection, nor did he inform me that I have to get it terminated myself.
3) I eventually realized his blunder when I got TWO bills (one for the new connection and another for the old one!) I requested for termination of connection on 04-07-2009. But it took a long time for them to actually terminate it.

After I have sent a request for termination, why am I being charged for it? That is absolutely unacceptable. Besides, when i called up customer care, I was told that the connection has been terminated on 15-07-2009. But did not get a bill on pro-rata basis. I was charged for a period between 23-06-2009 to 22-07-2009.


The first time I got two bills, I paid them. But I have received them again this month. I should not be charged for the old connection since I had requested for its termination. Besides, your agent neither changed my plan, nor did he terminate my connection.

Also, I received too many calls from this agent as well as from the company for bill payment. How do I escalate the issue against this agent?

Kindly look into the matter as I feel I have been dealt with unfairly.

(HIMATNAGAR BRANCH)AGENT SERVCE IS A VERY POOR
i have complained several time but no action.. my net connetion is still giving, me problem, its run well after 1hrs, thereafter, even it shows connected but i won't be able to open any page from the browser..i have taken this service for day 20-25 days connection but...??????????? me i much complain, but my problame is not soll.and me calling reliance broadband agent(himatnagar branch) but he is not received my call.
