They kept billing us for both accounts (for 3 months)
We used Reliance Broadband for our DSL internet service. Sometime around Aug 2007 we upgraded our account to get faster speeds. Instead of simply changing the account, they created a new account but did not bother terminating the old account. So as a result we appeared twice in their records all though we had just one DSL connection. We brought this to their attention but they kept billing us for both accounts (for 3 months). We filed an official complaint with them but to no avail. Reliance is awful with customer support but great at sales calls. Our accounts person accidentally paid one of the extra bills. So we brought this to their attention. And instead of getting a refund, what do we get? Yes, you guessed it, another bill. How infuriating can they get? If I don't get my refund, I'm going to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum.

Reliance... "The University of Fraud".
I have broadband connection from Reliance (Reliance USB BroadBand) for last 5-6 months I am not getting broadband services on this. I have registered several complaints with them, but every time getting same answer Engineers are working on this and it would be resolved ASAP. Finally I asked the definition of ASAP and got the answer is Aug 2011. So I am paying for BroadBand but getting service of Hybrid (dont know what is hybrid tech in India, May be Jugad). Now best part if their online payment is also not working and for that their excuse is pay it on phone coz that may again take time. Don't know how much time they ll take, another 5-6 years. When I asked to register my complaint and provide me complaint no- then the answer is as this is known issue we will not register your complaint, it was funny moment for me. :)

Service issue
The company installed a wired broadband connection of Rs.450/month unlimited usage scheme at my office at 31, Jalaram Chambers (1st floor), Jalaram Rd, Karelibaug, Vadodara 390018 on 20th of April 2011. I paid advance three months charges of Rs.1350/- for the same. The connection is hardly 15 days old such that any question of outstanding unpaid bill does not arise. I was given user id No.375238213855. Surprisingly my service has been barred. I have made a number of calls to their call center No.30337777 as well as 1800 3000 7777. They admit that the service has been wrongly barred and it will be restored the same evening. This has been going on every day for the past ten days. Even today a lady responded saying she referred to her senior and the senior asked her to tell me that the service would be restored today. The company is not allowing the customer to do his day-to-day duties and with the denial of service is causing torture and tension. The customer is on the brink of resorting to the Consumer Court with evidendence of a dozen aggrieved customers in his circle.

Cheating Subscribers
I am currently in the USA since January 2011 and have been receiving bills for usage since then while the house is locked. I have called the call centre many times to cancel the account and have the charges removed, but still today the connection has not been closed and another bill of Rs1400 was sent. My account number is 234 167 343 385.
Complaint numbers were 145764621, 145764762, 149836795, 149836561. I have spoken to many representatives and supervisors, the worst was a supervisor named Usha who has zero intelligence and could not understand the simplest request.
Reliance is a company that gets profits by cheating its customers making charges for non-existent services. If you have any choice of providers, please do not ever choose Reliance again.

Internet/Landline not working since 2 weeks

I have been using Reliance broadband phone/internet services from Dec.
2009 till date. As of Feb. 11, 2011 the Reliance customer services
were excellent. They used to rectify a simple problem within hours.
But, I regret to inform that since Feb. 12, 2011 it is not the same, I
am facing tremendous difficulties in restoring my broadband
connection. While I am writing this mail from Bangalore, I am
connected with Airtel's Mobile internet to my PC.

Here below are the series of instances which have been recorded.

My internet connection completely broke-down on Feb. 12, 2011 at 9:50
PM. Landline and broadband were dead.

1. I called Reliance customer care 180030007777 on Feb. 12, 2011 at 9:55 PM,
Service request # 147000256

2. On Feb. 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM I made a follow up call with Reliance customer
care 180030007777, but I was surprised to hear that the Service request#
147000256 had been completed and closed. Whereas, no one called me or
visited my place to rectify the problem.

3. The customer care were good enough to initiate another Service request#
147031830 dated Feb. 13, 2011 and gave me a contact name & number
(Venkatesh 9164008711) of the technician who closed the previous
complaint.

4. I called several times, but the technician never answered my calls.

5. On Feb. 14, 2011 at 10:10 AM Mr. Venkatesh 9164008711 called and
promised me that he will come to my place and rectify the problem.

6. I was waiting till 1:20 PM and called again Reliance customer care
180030007777, but here again I was surprised to hear that even this
Service request # 147031830 has been closed also about an hour ago.

7. On Feb. 14, 2011 at 1:25 PM. another service request # 147086525 was initiated and reported this matter to [email protected]

8. I received mails and calls stating that Reliance will take action against the technician and resolve my internet problem till Feb. 17, 2011.

9. On. Feb. 17, 2001 around 10:00 AM I received two calls from Bangalore Reliance team and confirmed that there is some cable problem.

10. Just wanted to make sure about the service request was active or not, I called up Reliance customer care 180030007777 around 3:00 PM, but here again I was surprised to hear that even this Service request # 147086525 has been closed also about an hour ago.

11. From all the above instances, I want to make one thing clear that
during the blackout period I just received one call from Venkatesh on
Feb. 14, 2011 at 10:10 AM saying that he will visit my place.

12. It is really, ridiculous that a technician calls only once and
closes two complaints without confirming me and never visited my place
even once.

For your info. I am a freelancer doing multiple online tasks for my
various clients across US, UK and NZ. As of now, I am totally
disconnected with my clients and cannot imagine the loss which I am
incurring right now.

Since Feb. 14, 2011 service request # 147326411 is active. I am calling frequently, but no specific timeline given. Simply the customer care say, cable from server is replaced.
broadband cheating for cancelled service January 7, 2011
BILL FOR CANCELLED SERVICE
Dear Sir,

I have Cancelled my broadband connection subscriber ID 4142300625 and BillingAccountNo.100000114667982 very before, due to the power shut off in broadband connection everyday routinely for 2 Hrs in day time. Before Cancellation, I have logged the complaint to resolve this issue nearly 6 times (have reference complaint Numbers.), unfortunately the problem was still continuiung in our city. Hence, I requested to cancel the Broadband connection after paying all my pending dues and received the mail over it of cancelling.

I have been sent mails and being called from various technical team, professionals, Nodal officers regarding the inconvenience. But since three months, I have been sent continous bills for broadband service which has been already cancelled and took away, this puts me in very stress. The last call was in the last week saying to ignore all the bills and reminders because it has sent as a mistake. They Apologized

I have been again threatened notice to pay the unused bills for cancelled broadband connection from “dev Associates & lawyers”/. This is completely Harassment & torturing process. I hereby request your good office to please close this issue. I am fully disappointed and my health is affecting by this stressed notice

I have been connected with customer care twice to confirm it and sent an email too, which is attached below. I received a reply also from customer care and nodal officers regarding it(check below the mail). Few Technical head also confirmed by contacting me but unfortunately I am informed again for payement. What is to be paid for ? I have been disconnected already !!! This is all due to service response which I have priorly informed on my mails.

Dear Sir,

I am Having a frequent Power cut in our city, Cuddalore (city for 2 Hrs)at 12.00PM to 2.00PM afternoon. In that period reliance broadband connection is unavailable including Telephone service for nearly 1Hr. This is in a routine daily basis, Continuing and apart from this if power cut goes for 1 min unexpectedly, nearly 30mins no connection & no telephone service. The reason I have received is no power Back-up in DLC. This behavior is since the connection established.

I have complaint few three times, to customer care. I received complaint nos. but no solution ? I have two more broadband connection other than this to my relatives. I am not able to function along this unstable service, I have told already to disconnect my line as well as other if this problem continues. Few times the power has gone out while talking to my clients, and working on banking networks. To this scenario who is going to take a responsibility for my loss ?

I did not use Internet & telephone since many days, I removed the line from my connections. No Use connecting it. Am disappointed in a corporate response, I cannot pay my bill If I receive a receipt, as I have already Cancelled and requested to remove my connection.

Broad band connection having Id number 330763148924.A/C No.100113656159.Reliance Phone No-02550-300190Plan Name:WFL299CS.Plan Description:FLP(POTS) And Broad band Plan Name:WICC600KB.Plan Description:600Kbps Combo Plan. I am using this number since last three months & in three months period i have face lots of problem from Customer care.
They have deactivate my service twice without intimated me for non making a payment.
Here let me just clarify that i have given all the information regarding my email
address & mailing address despite for that they fails to send me my bill on my
given email everytime, than later after due date expire they keep telling me the same,
you have not make the payment so please do it ASAP..i was been keep telling that
i haven't received the bill so please do send me i'll make the payment but no mail
& no response.. because of that i bear hell lots of issue like my working hours, time & money..Firstly i was using BSNL Brandboad Connection (Phone No-02550-273015) whose service is very nice as compare to reliance broad band. But reliance broad band is cheap in rate so i had decided to use reliance broad band but now i came to know that they are unable to give service for a customer. For how many times i had told them to disconnect my connection but they are not doing such thing.
As i am doing a business of Shares Trading(Angel Broking) and internet connection is very important for this but the service which is providing by reliance to me is very dull at the time of business only sometime the connection goes very slow or many times it disconnecting.
Their Engineers are coming after giving complaints but even they can not solve this problem.
Now its very headache for me. All my customer regarding shares trading is not coming due to this reason.I am now thinking to do legal case on reliance broad band so on this factor i am discussing all the things with my advocate. So its my request to all other user who are not using reliance broad band connection dont use reliance broad band connection. They are number 1 frody.

Bill Payment Point far away
I regert to write that today I went to your Reliance World outlet at Fountain Chowk, Ludhiana (India) which is about 5 km from my house. I gave the cheque to the person- a male- sitting on the counter and asked for the receipt. My interenet ID is 325534056042. He ordered me to drop the cheque in the "Drop Box" pointing with finger to the "Drop Box". I asked for the receipt and he ordered me to come in the evening to collect the receipt.

When I insisted for the receipt, he told me to go to Red Cross Building where the Reliance Broadband is having its office. I dropped the cheque in the box and came out of the outlet without receipt.

I ask you one question, don't you need customers? If your customer service is like this, how will you attract new customers. And without customers, no company can survive for long. Can't you have "Drop Boxes" near the area where you have about 100 customers. It took me 1 hour to reach your outlet just to drop a crossed"a/c payee cheque" without any receipt. I am 53. Have pity. I have made up my mind to switch over to another company.

I sent this complaint on the email address on which I receive your bills. It bounced back. Why? You can send the bills but can't recieve the complaiant on this address. Appear to be very intelligent. Misuse of electronic system?
