I mailed $30 rebate for Brother Laser Printer HL2040 in November 2006. I made copies of all forms and receipts, and mailed it by certified letter. After 8 weeks waiting period I contacted their customer service and was told that letter was not received or misplaced, and they asked to email or fax them the copies, which I did. Conveniently, after receiving copies they told me that the same date the rebate was closed and nothing they can do to access it in the computers. I emailed them a copy of certified USPS receipt stating that they did receive the letter, they just ignored this comment.

My experience is that no matter how well you follow the rebate form and document copies, and spend extra money for certified mail, this company – RebateHQ.com can, and in my case did find an excuse not to give the refund regardless of which fault it is. I do not know if I would purchase this item for the full price, the only thing I know that no matter how good the rebate is, if there is RebateHQ Involved I personally would not recommend it to nobody.
