Overcharged and more that 6-week wait for pictures
On 5/24/09 I went to Wal-Mart to PictureMe Portrait Studios. Their employee Connie admitted us. I wanted to take pictures of my two children. She took couple of pictures and when I asked her about the prices they have on pictures she told me that we will talk about it later. As she was talking pictures she kept running back to her desk answering the phone while my children were getting tired of sitting. later after we took the pictures and picked out the ones we like, she told us that it will be $159.00. I told her that I am not willing to pay that much for couple of pictures and asked her if they have any deals, she told me about $79.99 and the 20% off deal. I agreed but when it was time to pay she charged me $89.00, when I asked her why the price went up and where is the 20% discount. She told me that she misquoted the price and she is giving me the best deal ever because even when I pay $89.00 she already gave me 30% discount. She could not look me in the face as she continued telling me that their computers are changing and that I will not see the Discount on the receipt because she has to do it manually but after their technology changes it will be showing up on the receipt. I asked for the number to customer service and she told me their is none but when I mentioned that I saw the 1-888 number on one of the ad-card she said oh and grabbed the card. I told her that I want that number and she read it off really fast, so I bend down close to her and wrote it off, she told me that I cant have the card because it has the 20% coupon that was used, .
after we left the store I call the 888-Pic Me Too number and sure enough not only did she over charged me, she did not give me any discount, The customer service lady told me that she will need to call Connie and will get back to me but for two day no on e called me, I had to call again and finally the refunded me $25.00. So you can See I was over charged $25.00...
My pictures were due to come in 6/9/09 but no on e called me that they were ready, I called on 6/15/09 and left a message, they did not call me back. I went to the store and Connie was there again, she could not find my Picture and told me that she will call me tomorrow after she talks to the district to see where they are. I got a call the next day and now they are telling me that the picture will be in 7/3/09.
I called customer Service and asked for the full refund, they did not apologize for the service but did agree to refund me in full.
NEVER go to this PLACE if you want GOOD pictures and PRICE.
I was OVERCHARGED and the Service it self was AWFUL.

Awful service
I made an appointment to have family holiday pictures taken at PictureMe Portrait Studio inside my local WalMart on Dec 7, 2008 @ 4:00pm. We arrived promptly at 4:00pm to find there were still customers waiting to have portraits taken. We were called to have our portraits taken @ 5:30pm (a full hour and a half after my scheduled appointment time).
Once we were called to have our pictures done I asked the girl to use a certain holiday background that I specifically asked if they had when I called to confirm my appointment (I was told yes they did have that background). The girl told me they do not have this background and that I would have to choose a different one. I dressed my family according to this background and was upset that I would have to choose something else.
So I chose another background (which I really didn't care for) and proceeded to explain to the girl how I wanted my family arranged in the picture, to which she told me we would be doing it another way. I must be mistaken because I was under the impression that these were my portraits and I was paying for them so at least I should be able to have them taken how I wanted.
Several of the shots she took were horrible and they refused to retake the shots because they said we were only allowed 6 shots whether they were good or bad. I guess I should feel lucky that a few of the shots were ok.
As we were going to view the portraits my husband overheard the store manager tell the photographer 'that woman is getting on my last nerve', referring to me. I was flabbergasted when my husband told me what he just heard.
I called Customer Service when I got home and asked to speak to a supervisor to which I was told there was none available. They suggested I make an appointment and have the portraits retaken. So I asked if all of the portraits that were retaken would be free and I was told no they couldn't do that. So let's think about this logically for a moment: They want me to make another appointment, get my family dressed (again), wait in line to have the portraits taken (again), pray that the portraits they take look halfway decent, and put more money out of my pocket for more pictures because they screwed up and I'm completely dissatisfied with my experience. I don't see where any of that benefits me.
The fact that the store manager made such a rude remark about me loud enough for my husband to hear it while I'm a paying customer should at least be grounds for me to be able to have our portraits retaken and all of them given to me for free.
I understand that sometimes things go wrong, sometimes you have to wait in line, sometimes they don't have what you want, but the entire experience was upsetting and I am completely disgusted. The portraits were TERRIBLE. I refused to purchase anything other than the advertised package because I was so disgusted with the entire experience. The portraits taken were not worth the prices they charge for their packages.
When I called Customer Service I was told there was no supervisor to help me, they told me they would pass the information along to the District Manager, I asked what the name of that person was and they gave it to me but refused to give me any contact information for this person.
So let me get this straight; they are in the business of dealing with the public everyday but if a customer has a complaint there is noone in charge to speak to. Great way to please your customers and make them want to return.

Appalling Customer Service
Christmas is suppose to be about care, love and kindness! So, I wanted to take a great family picture and send it for gifts. I thought wow, Pictureme studios was having a great offer on portraits!
I took my family down to the portrait studio with high hopes. In the beginning of our time spent there, the employees were helpful and courteous.
When it came our turn to have the picture taken, the service changed drastrically.
The employee taken our pictures was rude, impatient, and showed a complete lack of control. My five year old was so confussed as to what to do because this person was snapping at her. She literally had the audacity to look at my five year old and say "You will get over here NOW!" This was said without the employee ever giving my daughter any idea what to do.
My five year LOVES to have her picture taken and I have many beautiful pictures of her from many other studios, so she was happily waiting her turn when this was snapped at her.
I choose not ever to have my pictures take at PictureMe Studios AGAIN!!!

Too many boo boos
I have ordered something extra on my Daughter's Birthday and Christmas and it never fails for them to ruin it. And it takes forever for them to get the correct ordered product to me. This time since they are now digital and you can have writing on the photos I put some on my photos. The text is totally wrong. Big fat black bold writing. Like a big black stamp. Last year I ordered a 20x20. And they could not produce it with the photo I chose. There was plenty of room for them to crop it down. So there was an additional 4 weeks. But this year I have to hand out these photos with this big bold text all over them instead of the soft script I ordered. They look really stupid. And you would think when I spend 300.00 at a time just on pictures they would try their best to get it right.

Horrible customer service!
I brought my newborn to Walmart’s PictureMe Studio on 03/05/08 at 6pm. In the first pose his face was falling forward. I told the photographer, Melissa, she needed to try another pose. She did but used the first pose (the worst one) for the advertised $6.99 package and refused to change it. If I wanted better poses I’d have to purchase expensive packages to get them. The rest of the session was frustrating. Part of the baby’s face was blocked in most of the photos by the angle or the cushion he was on. His foot or the top of his head was cut off on full body shots. I had had an exhausting day prior to coming to the studio and just wanted to get out of there. I asked for just one copy of each of the six poses she’d saved. I was told I’d have to purchase a package; I could not buy individual sheets. When describing the packages she pointed to the middle of a computer screen showing a dollar amount and package contents. I reluctantly agreed to the smallest package she insisted I had to buy to get the sheets I wanted.
When I paid her she kept saying I hadn’t given her enough cash. I was exhausted, figured I’d miscounted, and gave her more money. As I walked away I counted the money left in my pocket and realized I’d overpaid her. I looked at my receipt and realized she’d overcharged me. I had reluctantly agreed to spend $80 on the crummy photos. She’d charged me $113.40!!! I returned to the studio. Melissa had gone into a storage area; I waited but she didn’t come out. I picked up my film developing from the back of Walmart and returned to the studio. I told Melissa she overcharged me. She said, “You were looking at price in the middle of the computer screen weren’t you? That explains why you didn’t give me enough money.” I agreed, that’s where she’d been pointing when explaining the packages. She said that dollar amount was the savings for that package; the price was at the top of the screen. I said I hadn’t been comfortable paying $80 for these photos. I couldn’t spend over $100. I wanted her to change the package or cancel the order and refund my money. This was minutes after the session ended. She said she could do neither. She said the order had been placed and paid for and there was nothing she could do. I was shocked.
I called the store manager who said PictureMe rents space from Walmart, there was nothing she could do. I called PictureMe’s Customer Service three times. They said they don’t do refunds. I asked where no refunds is written on their adds or receipts. They said it’s not written. I was told I had the following options: a 50% refund, their advertisement said no sitting fee. I can’t understand how they can keep half my money if I get nothing, no photos, in return. I could get retakes but only at the same studio. I want my money back, I was pressured into buying a package I didn’t want and overcharged for it. I get no money back if they retake the photos. I asked if I could go to another of their studios since I was not happy with the photographer’s skills at this one. I was told I’d have to return to the same studio. The final option is to have my package reduced to an $80 package with considerably less photos and fewer poses. I was not happy when I thought I was paying $80 for the silver package, I’d be even more upset paying $80 for a bronze package containing much less. There was nothing more they would do.
This is my fourth child. I’d taken my first three to Walmart’s Portrait Studios many times. They always had excellent customer service. I had been very happy with the photos taken and my children and I enjoyed the sessions. In the past their customer service was excellent. I’d always been able to choose the pose for the advertised package. I’d also been able to choose which poses were purchased for an additional fee. I’d never been pressured into high price packages like this. Never had they done a bait and switch on me before. If a photo came back out of focus or with closed eyes they’d redone the session and thrown in a few extras. They were wonderful to work with.
I could not believe this new photographer’s lack of skill;, turns out she’s the manager of this Walmart’s studio!!! I could not believe the terrible customer service I experienced at the local studio and then from their Customer Service Phone Number. After this experience I don’t want to take any of my four children back to a Walmart Studio. I don’t even want to go back to Walmart I’m so upset with the whole experience that took place in their store. I’m warning friends and family to beware of Walmart’s Portrait Studios.
What was supposed to be a special event with my newborn, having his first photos taken, has turned into an absolute nightmare and a big regret; neither Walmart where it happened or the PictureMe Portrait Studio they rent the space to will do anything about it. Apparently it was PGA studios I had dealt with before. PictureME took over in Nov. 2007.
I registered this complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well and encourage others to do so.
