I purchased "stainless steel" dinnerware which the package described as "finest quality" and giving a 25 year warranty. After opening package and examining utensils for customary etched marking which authenticates quality by listing nickel/chromium content, found that no such marking was present, and the warranty guaranteed against "defects in material or workmanship."
I wrote to Pfaltzgraff customer service, inquiring what the quality of the stainless steel was, and if the warranty guaranteed against rusting (which does NOT happen to quality stainless steel).
It has now been almost a month since my email to them, and I am being ignored. I can only assume that this is because the steel is not "highest quality" and that it will show signs of rusting within a few years. I have resolved that if this happens, I will file a suit in small claims court, claiming a full refund and recompense for my travel and trouble.
I am an 83 year old paraplegic, and I doubt the company's attorney will relish facing me.
I highly reccomend that people looking for stainless steel dinnerware avoid the unknown quality of Pfaltzgraff products.
