3. Problem:
We have had 2 experiences at Pat O'Brien Chevy. The first seemed wonderful at first. We love the car we purchased and the sales associate was great at the time. The problems did not arise until after we left the lot in our new vehicle. Upon trying to renew the license tags we noticed the dealership never transferred the plates from our trade in to the new vehicle. Nedless to say we had been driving with illegal plates for over 6 months. Now it is 3 years later and I find out my credit report was compromised because the dealership placed an incorrect digit in my social security number causing another persons information to merge with my own when they processed the loan paperwork on my vehicle. The second experience was with a different salesman who sold the "certified" vehicle to us. We were in the dealership for 4 hours working on financing (our credit score is 780) since the salesman told us we would have one payment and the finance officer had a much higher and different payment on the desk when we went in to sign papers. While waiting the salesman left for the night and left us sitting in the lobby well past closing time. We ended up having to go back the next day for them to "clear things up". Also, we had the vehicle in the shop 5 times within 2 months of purchase with things wrong that should have been taken care of prior to becoming a "certified" vehicle. The dealership argued with us and still made us pay for 1/2 of the repairs to the vehicle. This dealership used to have a great reputation, however, in the past few years has gone down hill. I would NEVER recommend this dealer to anyone and am pleased with the newest vehicle purchase from a different dealership. Beware of lemons from Pat O'Brien. Not only lemon vehicles, but lemon salesman as well.
