Poor customer service at Pacific Sales
We bought a package of washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, and microwave from Pacific Sales. In store customer service was excellent. The washer, dryer and dishwasher were delivered three weeks late because of inventory issues, of which we were not advised in advance. When they finally got here, the gas installation for the dryer needed some work and they said they could not install. We fixed the install and a friend installed them. Once installed the washer (a front load Affinity from Frigidaire) vibrated too much so I called Pacific Sales to have them send somebody to check it out. The sales person did not return multiple calls and when I finally got to somebody they were rude and they said they could not send anybody because of liability issues. I left multiple voice mails for the manager (Randy) which were never answered. I finally told him I was returning the items and in a very rude tone he said somebody would pick them up on Saturday (today).

He did not follow up with a time for pick up so I had to leave another voice mail on Friday morning which he never returned. Fortunately I called on Friday afternoon and he answered. He said somebody would call me on Friday evening to arrange for a pickup up. Thankfully they just picked up the things. I had to pay a $250 re-stocking fee. I ended up getting a new washer/dryer from Sears. They were nice and installed the items (which work perfectly).

Like other people on the board, I cannot find a customer service number or e-mail address for Pacific Sales. We will never do business with them again.

Prices are good but after-sales service is non existent. Don' buy from them!

Passing the buck
Looking at these complaints one can deduce that Pacific Sales is a shell of a middle-man. They will sell you damaged or mislabeled products that are discounted to them by the manufacturer...at least it seems that way from all the redundant complaints. They don't seem to do much for customer service after the transaction is complete because that would cost them money to staff an after sales service department. Then, if you should complain about a damaged product or an out of adjustment product, they have you deal with the manufacturer yourself. Yes, retail is more expensive, but if you were to purchase the appliances through Sears, Lowe's or Home Depot, you have also purchased a right to get an exchange or a repair within a reasonable amount of time and without the runaround or hassle. I have bought appliances through Sears (not online) for 10 years now and I haven't yet had a problem with damaged or incorrect appliances delivered. As a matter of fact, my 18.2 Frigidaire refrigerator has been working trouble-free for me since June 2001.

Poor customer service!
Pacific Sales delivered a brand new Bosch refrigerator without the cord to connect it to the water supply. I've been informed it will take at least 7-10 business days for them to send one, then left on hold for more than 40 minutes while waiting for a manager to answer the phone. Sales man did not return my original call, even though I have purchased all of my high end kitchen appliances from them. NOT GOOD!!!

Inferior customer service
Following up a product that has been paid off is a nightmare. After they got my money they don't want to be bothered. No live person to take calls. I can not leave a message because their voice mails are full. Try this number 310-784-6142 or 310-784-6100 and you will know what i mean. They do not have a customer complaints number or email address where you can send messages or complaints.

Promised date for them to call never happens.

Our project has been delayed for a month now because of pacific sales failure to deliver.
