Pacific Sales Reviews

Horrible company
We bought a refrigerator and dishwasher from this company. However, they said the dishwasher was on back order. So when the delivery date finally came, they called up and said their truck couldn't get up the hill we live on, which has gotta be one of the lousiest excuses I've ever heard. So we wait 4 more days, and then they call and say THEY DON'T HAVE THE FRIDGE!!! Apparently they gave it to someone else, the one they were supposed to give to us. I can't believe a company could be this disorganized. That's when we asked for our money back, which they will hopefully give to us. Buy furniture from anyone, ANYONE, but not this awful company.

Poor Post-Sales Service
Very poor after sale service. Not all appliances were delivered as promised. Mulitple problems with appliances after deliver. Had to return several back to the store. Contracted delivery service damaged one of the appliances - had to return. Can't get in touch with ANYONE at the store to try to resolve problems. Only get voice mail - and NO ONE ever returns any of your calls. Even after traveling to store and talking to store manager (Randy), agreed upon remedies were not implemented as promised. I will NEVER do business with this company again. It's amazing to me that a business with this kind of customer service even exists.

Unbelievably bad customer service
I went to the new Pacific Sales store in Pasadena, as they carried the brand of refrigerator that I wanted. Mine was limping along due to an electrical brown-out in my neighborhood.

First of all, Pacific Sales is understaffed. I had to practically beg for someone to help me after quite a wait.

I ordered a high-end refrigerator--in white. When paying, I double checked with the cashier to make sure that it was white. I even asked if there was a "W" in the item number, meaning white. I was assured that I was getting a white refrigerator.

Lo and behold, after waiting all morning, they delivered a stainless refrigerator, which of course I turned away.

It was very difficult to reach my salesman. His printed number didn't work, and calling the main office resulted in a 10 minute hold. When I reached the salesman, he was defensive, and tried to tell me that I had ordered a stainless refrigerator. It didn't take long for him to realize that I wasn't going to go for that line of reasoning, particularly because I was very clear about the color.

Towards the end of our discussion, the salesman agreed that "there had been a miscommunication" (he had ordered the wrong color). He said that he'd do his best to get another fridge out the same day.

Nope. After emptying my fridge, putting back all of the contents, and dealing with this problem all day--I will be given another four hour window to sit around and wait for the thing tomorrow. Meanwhile my food is rotting...

Never again will I do business with this outfit.

Terrible service
My parents bought a washer and dryer from Pacific Sales because of the sale price. Don't bother! The money you might save on the appliance you lose in the waste of time and energy you will spend in wasted time and wasted phone calls trying to get them to deliver your product and properly install it and return any calls or answer their phone. Worst service ever experienced by any company hands down! Not only was the washer and dryer not delivered on the day promised not once, not twice but three times, when they finally did show up on the third missed appointment by them, they had the wrong appliance. Then it took another several weeks for them to return with the correct appliance. When they installed it, they did not install it correctly. My parents made several appointments for them to return and install it properly which again they never showed up for. Not only would they make a scheduled appointment and not show up, they then either would not answer their phone, or when the sales guy would finally answer and PROMISE someone would come by the end of the day guess what? NO ONE SHOWS UP. My parents had to travel more than an hour from their main home to their second home where the unit was to be installed more than five or six times. They are elderly so it is not easy for them to do this much traveling for no reason. They would travel to the location, NO ONE WOULD SHOW UP as promised, no one would return their calls or answer their phone, so not only did my parents completely waste their time and energy driving back and forth to get this done, my father missed several days of work waiting around for someone to show up and despite all of their false promises no one would ever show up. I have never in my life heard of such an unprofessional company with the poorest of service and the unfriendliest of people on the phone. Finally when one particular woman received the 10th call from my parents asking where the person who was supposed to arrive was, despite that this is several weeks after promised services and more than two days after the initial promised appointment and my parents waiting around for THREE DAYS for someone to arrive (despite they keep saying oh yeah, we are on our way and no they weren't) the sales woman had the NERVE TO TELL MY MOM she was being rude. Are you kidding me? What do you expect after such a circus act of horrible service and lies. To be kissing your butt! No lady, you should be apologizing for such horrible service and then to turn around and insult the customer? Ridiculous!!! We will NEVER EVER EVER use this company again for any purchases and will tell EVERY SINGLE PERSON we know about it, including the Better Business Bureau. This company is nothing but horrible service and lying agents who do not deliver what they promise and do not follow through. God only knows how long the appliance will last, because if it ever breaks down I can guarantee you they will not be there to fulfill their warranty. LOSER COMPANY!!!

Failure to Follow Up on Complaints
Everyone makes mistakes; all companies at times have less than perfect customer service. But Pacific Sales, after several weeks, has not even responded to a letter a wrote them about a problem with my delivery. (They kept me waiting over six hours, telling me they were coming, and finally called to say they weren't showing up.) I keep getting a busy signal when I call them. It's too bad, because in the store I got excellent customer service. I hate to see another company go broke and put innocent workers out of jobs because of poor management.

WORST STORE, SERVICE, ETHICS EVER
UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE. Sales people who will sell you a bill of goods then not support the order. Sales people who don't care and don't know what they're talking about. No returned phone calls, even for a $12k kitchen appliances order. Broken appliances delivered, no help. Multiple transfer voicemail with people who can't help you and don't care. Complete apathy and rudeness. Must be a terrible place to work for, because everybody incompetent and doesn't care. NEVER SHOP HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Bait and Switch
Called Pacific Sales Burbank about a television they had in their advertisement. Was told they had one in stock and would save it for us. Went down 45 minutes later and found television was not in stock (supposedly employee error telling us it was) but they had a better television that would cost more.

Bad service
Beware of Pacific Sales!

We recently purchased over $10, 000 of appliances from Pacific Sales and, as you would expect, the salesman (who happened to be the manager (Randy) took care of us prior to the sale.

Once we finalized the purchase we waited at home for the installers. To make a very long story short, they ripped up our beautiful hardwood floors bringing in the refrigerator. When we contacted Randy, he told us he would have a company contact us the next day to come repair the damage. We explained the urgency due to a big party we were having within the next week. He didn't follow-up. We had to. Now that he's made the sale, we're no longer important to his business.

We are still waiting for the Pacific Sales to take care of the problem THEY created! We ended up having to purchase a $700 12 foot runner to cover some of the damaged flooring. God help us if we have any problems with the appliances now that they're in!

On a good note: the installers that installed all other appliances were wonderful and I would highly recommend them - Peerless Installation out of Orange County.

Horrible Customer Service & Follow Up
August 2, 2008: Pacific Sales Service is a JOKE! We bought the most expensive Bosch dishwasher in the product line... almost $1, 600 (the unit was delivered defective out of the box; the digital display was not working). A Pacific Sales APPROVED Installer came out and installed the unit only to find that once he turned it on... the functions of the LCD Digital display were not working. We were unable to run wash cycles as we could not tell what mode the dishwasher was in. When we called Pacific Sales to report the issue. We were told that we would have to wait a week for one of their Authorized Repair Contractors to come out. We were given a date and a specific window of 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and advised that we needed to be available when someone arrived. On the day that they were supposed to come... know one showed. We called the number that was given to us and were told that they had no record of a repair ever being scheduled. Even worse, we were told that they did NOT repair Bosch (how is it that Pacific Sales Service could make an appointment for us (while we were on hold) with their own Geek-Squad and never mention that it was a Bosch dishwasher that we need repaired to their own service. After waiting all day for no one to show, and then being told that they did not repair Bosch appliances- we once again called back to Pacific Sales (818.737-2900), Woodland Hills Branch. They told us that they would schedule the replacement of our new dishwasher with a different company/installer, and further told us that it would be another four days before they could come out. Well guess what, the same deal happened again.. we waited... no one showed. After being stiffed a second time we called to speak to the Woodland Hills Store Manager (a Steve Baker). Mr. Baker promised us that he would personally make sure that our issue was taken care of and that a new replacement would be delivered and installed/no charge. By this time it had almost been a month of waiting... with no working dishwasher the whole time. Well, a new installer came with a replacement dishwasher... and while installing the dishwasher they BROKE the brushed metal front handle. They (the installers) would not take the newly installed unit out... instead, they (without our knowledge) ordered replacements parts... which ultimately arrived via UPS a week later. When the parts arrived there was no documentation or instructions on what we supposed to do with them... you would have thought someone from Pacific Sales would have called us to set up a new appointment or at the very least to let us know that they were aware of the latest issue. When we called Pacific Sales to ask what the status of our installation was... we were told that someone would be calling us to come take apart the new dishwasher (the entire front panel and its digital electronics) would need to be accessed/removed in order to get to the front door handle. The person in service (her name was Cristina, (818) 737-2900 Ext. 8607) would not authorize a new working replacement be sent. Instead, she comment that if we wanted to sue them, "then to go ahead and give it a shot". WELL WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PACIFIC SALES, OR BEST BUY EVER AGAIN. BEWARE OF BOSCH DISHWASHERS... There seems to be a quality control issues with Bosch, as we have not been able to turn one on without there being a problem. PACIFIC SALES has the worst customer satisfaction we have ever seen... the store we bought our Bosch at was: Pacific Sales - 6100 Variel Ave Woodland Hills, CA 91367 (818.737-2900) - Your best bet is to go to the store down the street (on Variel)…

Terrible customer service
Stated a 1pm delivery time, and showed up 11:40am. Left a message on my machine stating it would be $75 to redeliver. Every time you call you get a message machine to talk to the salesman. Customer service said too bad, that's the rule and we do not have 1pm delivery times. Salesman promised a redelivery the same day and no one showed up. Salesman again promised 10am deliver for the next day and again no show. 10:30 Sales manager calls and says a special delivery is being made and you will have it in 2 hours, (noon - 12:30) plus the delivery manager will call you in 10-15 minutes to confirm. Guess what no call and no delivery. I call 12:30 and cancel the order with salesman and sales manager. I go out and 2 hours later Pacific Sales tries to deliver the appliances. I was not home. I get home and there is the $75 to redeliver message and one from dispatch saying we made a special trip for you, where are you? I guess I was to use my psychic powers to know they were delivering at 2:30? Manager and Sales Manager never called back - every time I called I got an answering machine. I went to Sears, and re-bought the appliances and they were delivered the next day within a 2 hour window.
