I purchased 4 figures from this online toy retailer in Japan and decided to return 3 because of personal reasons. Their return policies states returns are accept when shipped back in new unaltered state but as I contacted them for a heads up, a representative named Yuhei refused!

Remaining skeptical, I decided to open the remaining 3 to inspect for defects and sure enough found something wrong with each of the figure's left leg. An excess part near the upper thigh region that was overdeveloped obstructed a critical articulation point near the pelvis area. In simple terms, the leg can only move/rotate forward and not sideways rendering the entire toy useless.

Seller Yuhei of Otacute then decides to accept package back for personal inspection after I filed a claim with PayPal. Sad it should even come to that in the first place. Upon receiving my returned merchandise, this person disagrees with my complaint and says nothing is wrong AND STILL REFUSES TO ISSUE MY REFUND!

Yuhei blames this on me for filing a claim with PayPal and ridiculously expresses that it is now PayPal's decision to issue refund and there is nothing that can be done whatsoever.

PayPal has already informed me that the decision was in my favor and has sent numerous emails to seller asking for my refund. All methods of contact by PayPal to seller has been ignored.

Paypal also express if purchases are made outside of ebay, buyer is no longer protected. Lucky me.

To conclude, stay away from www.otacute.com at all cost. Their policies on returns and refunds are ALL LIES! You WILL NOT get a refund no matter what you do or what your situation is. If you're into Anime, go to a trustworthy seller like Hobby Link Japan instead. They won't ever try something so shady.

Take it from my experience and don't be fooled like I have. As I'm writing this, please keep in mind I am out of my merchandise AND money! I pray no one else will make my mistake. If I am at a financial loss, at least no one else will suffer. Be careful and take care.
