In three months Orbitz can not get our names right on our travel tickets
Why is it that in less in three months Orbitz can not get our names right on our travel tickets? The same mistake has been made in the past two months, and both times it stressed me out, as well as trying to reschedule our fleight tickets so we wouldn't have to pay more for our tickets, in both our names were spelled wrong, and nothing would be changed on the ticket names.This sure causes a problem for us.

They charged our credit card for the insurance, which no one wants to pay out on now
I rented a pickup truck (Budget) for our company, for a pick-up and drop-off at the airport in Alberta Canada, through Orbitz on-line. Orbitz offered car rental insurance at the time of the reservation. Access America is the name of the Insurance Company, for anyone interested in running away from this company as fast as you can. The truck was involved in an accident and now Access America is denying the claim because it was a pick up truck out of the country. Which was on the on-line reservation form with Orbitz. There were no stipulations or exceptions listed on-line at the time of the truck reservation. Sounds like fraudulent practices to me. Offer and sell me something that they have no intentions on backing up. They charged our credit card for the insurance, which no one wants to pay out on now. Fraud!!!

A total ripoff and we feel that we should have some compensation
We purchased a fresh flower lei greeting in Oahu with staff assistance at airport. What a joke! The leis were so skimpy we were embarrassed and absolutely NO HELP or assistance in telling us where to go or what to do. A total ripoff and we feel that we should have some compensation - we paid double the rate for a beautiful lei, (which we purchased later) and had absolutely no help. Never again!!!

Three charges were taken out of my bank account by Orbitz for an airline reservation that I never received
The website kept coming up with an error telling me that to make my purchase I would have to click the button again. Did it three times with no success, no plane ticket. Went to travelocity instead which gave me the ticket I wanted first time. Was I surprised to see that three charges were taken out of my bank account by Orbitz for an airline reservation that I never received. Three days later and Orbitz is claiming that the transactions are pre-authorizations, not real. My bank confirms that they are real and the money is gone. Still trying to get it back. This also happened to another person in my office and the clerk at my bank said another customer had it happen to her. BEWARE!

WOW, Orbitz has taken a great business model and turned it into trash with fraud and the worst customer no-service on the planet. My story begins with a vacation package booked in Cabo at "an etirely smoke-free property" which was also confirmed by an email which said "This property is entirely smoke-free". Upon arrival (by my daughter and friend) it turned out to be a full out smoking hotel, and the room already had ashtrays full of butts to get started! The entire hotel smelled like those glass lounges at the airport. So after talking with 4 Orbitz people and "Edward" the top supervisor, the solution, an hour later, was to wait to see if the hotel could find them a less smelly room.While Edward did not admit to any mistakes or offer any credit/help he did say that any false info in the website is solely the hotel's fault as Orbitz has nothing to do with the posting!!! I could recite even more insane Orbitz statements but suffice it to say they have lost me for life as a former loyal customer.

Have had terrible service and no refund
Orbitz "lost" my reservation and I almost missed my flight home for Christmas. After admitting their mistake, I demanded they at least refund me their 60 dollar service fee. They agreed and it has been a month and I have called several times and have had equally terrible service and no refund.

I will never use them again, and would advise all to not use them
I have purchased several trips using orbitz. in the past they have always been great to work with. but they have gone WAY downhill! I purchased airlind tickets for 4, good price and all, but the following day the airlind dropped the price on the same itinerary, all of orbitz' competitor did the same. expedia dropped, hotwire dropped, priceline dropped, Orbitz raised by 140 dollars. When i called customer sevice about it, they said that if an orbitz cust purchased for a lower price, then i would get a refund, no one can buy for less, because they RAISED thier price!

A customer service supervisor said they would place a voucher for the difference in my account. didnt happen!
They will tell you what you want to hear, then not follow through.

I will never use them again, and would advise all to not use them!

I have had a horrible experience with Orbitz! They gave me a one way ticket after I purchased a round trip. Not only are they refusing to fix it, they refuse to refund any part of my money. Funny enough they offered me a credit to use at a later date, minus fees, of course! I have been on the phone with Orbitz for countless hours, have spoken to just about every citizen in the Phillipines that works for Orbitz. I am pursuing all legal avenues and putting in complaints to everyone I can. NEVER, EVER USE ORBITZ.COM!!!

Waited for approximately 30 minutes to get to a customer representative
NO AMOUNT OF SAVINGS IS WORTH DEALING WITH ORBITZ!!! If you decide to use them anyway, be ready to eat the $$$$ you spent on the package. Customer service is practically non-existent and if you do by chance get to speak with a representative after being disconnected several times - I seriously doubt you will be able to understand if you are English speaking. Sad, Sad, Sad!!!

I booked a package to Cancun for 6/26 - 6/29. I called on June 14th to see if I could change the person going with me as their plans changed and they would not be able to go. I was expecting to pay approximately up to 1/2 of the booking to be able to change the person going with me.

First of all - I waited for approximately 30 minutes to get to a customer representative. When I finally spoke with a representative I found it very difficult to understand what they were saying. They spoke with a very heavy Asian accent and I repeatedly asked them to spell words and to slow down so I could understand what the person was saying.

According the the person I spoke with on June 14th - no part of the package could be changed. It could only be cancelled. However, my flights had already been cancelled by Orbitz but I was not contacted! No explanation could be given - they stated they had sent an email - I never received an email!

I called back tonight to cancel the package. I got disconnected on the first call after over a 16 minute wait, call was dropped the 2nd time after over an 11 minute wait and finally after the 3rd call, after I'd waited over 7 minutes - I spoke with a representative. I asked to cancel the package. Again the representative had a heavy accent and was VERY difficult to understand! After they stated they had cancelled the package, I asked for a confirmation # for the cancellation. After being on hold for about 10 minutes, the representative came back and stated it was the same as the Package Locator - "original package locator". I asked why then had I been on hold for that? I asked to speak to a supervisor and the representative argued with me that it was the same. I said I still wanted to speak with a supervisor and she argued with me several times. I finally asked if she were refusing to allow me to speak with a supervisor. After another 10 minute wait, I spoke with a supervisor. I asked the supervisor if I had trouble with the cancellation and credit card refund, if I could call her directly back? After a long explanation, it was basically no - you get the luck of the draw.

The call on June 14th took about 55 minutes and the call tonight logged in at about 72 minutes - over 2 hours in all!

Good luck if you decide to use Orbitz - my prayers are with you. Stick to real people and travel agencies with a reputation. NOT ORBITZZZZZ!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ is what you do waiting to try to talk with a rep - lol!!!

Orbitz's customer service was horrible
I use Orbitz to book travel for myself and for my mother several times a year, and I started using Orbitz on the recommendation of my father, who uses it several times a year. However, after my last experience, I will never use Orbitz again.

I booked a trip to Las Vegas for May 27 through 30, 2009. This trip was for my best friend's wedding, and about 25 people booked their tickets to the wedding through Orbitz. When I booked my flights, I specified that I wanted flight times after noon. My original flights were the following: I was to leave Omaha at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, and I was to leave Las Vegas at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. These times were perfect.

I received four flight updates between January and February. The first two kept the flight times at acceptable times. When I received the third and fourth update, I (wrongly) assumed that the times would be within what I initially specified — after noon. Furthermore, I figured with four flight changes in one month, there were bound to be more over the next three months. However, when I received the confirmation the day before I left Omaha, I discovered that the time I left Las Vegas on Saturday had changed to 8:10 a.m.

Now, I know for a fact that there were later flights leaving Las Vegas, because I was the only person at the wedding who had this super-early time. Because of this flight time, my vacation was cut short, and I missed wedding festivities on Friday night because I had to go to bed early so I could be up at 4:30 a.m. the next day to catch the 8:10 a.m. flight. Moreover, I missed the wedding brunch with the other guests on Saturday morning because I had to be up at 4:30 a.m. to catch the 8:10 a.m. flight.

Because Orbitz did not stick to the time I specified when booking this trip, I hold Orbitz accountable for screwing up my first trip to Las Vegas and time I should have had with my best friend and her groom. I missed out on festivities on Friday AND Saturday because of this, and I am not pleased. This is time I can't get back with my friends. Orbitz robbed me of a night and half a day of my vacation.

While I'm voicing my displeasure, I'm going to add that I was stuck paying an extra $20 a night at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas because Orbitz booked me in the "fabulous" MOTEL part of the Imperial Palace. Thanks, but I'd rather not be raped and robbed while traveling, and considering I was one of three people from the wedding staying at the Imperial Palace and was traveling alone, I didn't feel the motel was very safe. So I coughed up an additional $20 a night to stay in the main part of the hotel. So thank you for booking me in the lousiest part of the hotel possible so I could pay extra each night to feel safe.

When I called Orbitz after my trip, they put the blame on the airline. However, I did not book my flights through the airline, I booked them through Orbitz. Furthermore, when pointed out that they completely disregarded that I'd specified flight times after noon, they continually ignored this and continued to blame the airline. Orbitz's customer service was horrible, and I'm still irked that they cut my vacation short.
