I did not ask for voicemail services from OAN

Unfortunately, with a large phone bill that incorporates the charges of our DSL, phone, Watts line, messaging and long distance, we did not notice the $29.95 per month being added to our bill for the past 3-1/2 years. After calling the numbers for AT&T, they told us that OAN was an independent agency who simply bills through AT& T's system. We then called the number on the OAN page and connected to YP Values, LLC INet directory. I explained that we did not authorize these charges and they retrieved a recording of one of us authorizing all of our contact info and the $29.95 per month, but the recording contained no explanation or any part of the conversation that explained what services the charges were for. YP Values claims to offer high speed dialup and an internet listing for this monthly fee. Since my company has had a website of our own for over 10 years and we have had DSL that is billed through AT&T on this very same bill, I debated why we would have authorized such a fee. I asked to speak with a manager, which of course, was not possible. I was told that the manager (of whom they would not give me the last name) would call me back. The agent on the line said he was authorized to give me a credit for 7 months, but not the entire 31 months that we have been billed. Of course, that is going to be a credit that will show up on my next billing statement. We'll see...

I will post here again if I am able to make any progress on this situation so others may know what to try in order to get their money back, too.

I have been billed by oan for several months every time I try to contact them by phone all I get is a recording. so I finally went to the web and starting looking them up and found out they are just another rip off scam I don't even own my own business and I could care less if my name is in any phone book.

I would really like to see this company out of business and in the process to get the money I paid back. If I don't get my money back that's just the piece I have paid fo not paying attention to my phone bill. but oan is not getting any more money from me.

This Company OAN did this to me before on a prior phone service. ATT stopped them from billing me but did nothing to credit the money that I lost, so now I will talk to the and if they do not credit I will threaten them by going to Charter for phone service. I had some other problems with ATT before and told them I'll go to Charter phone service and they were happy to make things right. We will see this time what they will do.

My December 7, 2008, (Illinois) AT&T phone bill included a charge for $24.67 for some service that OAN Services (Kooltel America) allegedly offers.

When I phoned them, they claimed I had requested the service over the Internet. They were only willing to subtract one of two charges (because my next phone bill apparently has the same charge).
