Merchant Leasing Equipment
Northern Leasing Systems rip-off, dishonest, fraudulent business practices, harassments and deducts more money than the signed contract. Northern Leasing Systems finances equipment for $4, 000.00 that is worth about $400.00. The contract supposedly says that this lease can not be cancelled that is why they feel justified in charging 10 times what the equipment is worth. Sales representative filled out the application, showed me one page of a six page contract told me where to sign without giving me time to read the contract, he did not give me a copy said he would mail it to me if I was approved. They send the equipment a couple of days later and started to deduct money out of my account even though we were not scheduled to open for business until December 1, 2009.

Scam and cheating
I co- signed for family and now these people are suing me for the balance of the contract 2 years + attorney fees. They took out double payments from account and lied and said they didn't, lied about being able to cancel contract, lied about refunding money they stole. They called my job daily until i said not to for i would be fired they still call all the time. I am getting a lawyer because they cannot continue to get away with this. I do not know what attorney in their right mind who would represent these criminals!

Scam and cheating!
My story is much the same as the rest. I owned a small store and one day a representative from Neos Merchant Solutions came in and talked me into trying their Rewards Card program claiming it was all the rage, would increase my business, retain customers, and I would have all these great reports to show me how well it worked. Once I was signed up my rep disappeared, the customer service was non-existent, reports were difficult to retrieve and understand, and it was next to impossible to order additional supplies. I eventually stopped using the Rewards Card program because it was costing me more then it was worth.
The biggest surprise came a few months later when I closed my store. I was able to cancel the Rewards Program but was informed by Northern Leasing that my lease contract could not be canceled and I would have to pay on it for two more years. Needless to say, I was shocked. The Neos rep had just slipped that past me. I have already paid Northern Leasing over $2,000 in monthly lease payments plus property taxes on the machine. In addition they charged me $25 to fill out the county property tax form which I could have easily completed in minutes myself for free. I have returned the machine at their request but, Northern Leasing still wants another $1,900 plus interest and late fees to buy out the lease. That is over $4,000 for a machine which costs $399.
Northern Leasing has been calling my personal residence several times a day and has been sending threatening letters. They are now threatening a law suit. They call me in the middle of the day when I am at work and every time I try to call them I get an answering machine no matter what time of day it is.
These companies are dishonest and deceitful.

Do not do business with this company!
In 2001 I leased a credit card terminal from Northern Leasing Systems. They never sent anyone out to program it even after I contacted them. Frustrated with waiting, I just gave up and told them I wanted to cancel the contract and give back the equipment. I was told I couldn't - I was obligated to a four-year contract. They continued billing me every month (even though I was not using their services). After they threatened to sue me, I ended up paying a total of $1,200 for a credit card terminal that never got taken out of the box.! To add insult to injury, I recently discovered they put a blemish on my credit report claiming I still owe them over $200.
I recently started another business and decided to use my terminal (with another credit card processing company) and was told by this other company that I couldn't use the terminal because it was still under lease with Northern Leasing Systems.
It's been almost SEVEN years since I signed that contract and this company still continues to give me grief. They are even holding my terminal hostage so I can't use it anywhere else. I don't understand why they are still in business? They should be shut down and prosecuted for fraud. I am urging other consumers - DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Northern Leasing Systems ripoff, dishonest, fraudulent business practices, harrassment...
Believe it or not, I just got served by this rip-off loser of a company. We sent back their equipment after they failed to provide a copy of the lease after repeated requests, when they finally sent one, it was someone elses lease! My husband sent back their sub standard equipment with return request receipt. He also called them several times after asking for a letter stating that they received the equpiment; they refused. We have our USPS poof of receipt by them.
The critical point is that they specifically told me that it was not a long term commitment and the lease was based on a month to month basis and as long as I had their equipment. The lease stops upon the return of the equipment.
They added the number 48 to the lease document afterward without your knowledge and permission. The paper and receipt of payment that I have does not indicate 48 months lease commitment.
The other papers that they are presenting were forged by adding the number 48 after I have signed it without my knowledge or permission and only learned about it over a year later when I asked to return the equipment and terminate the lease.
At the time of the papers signing there was a lease agreement that was written in a very small print that is impossible to read and it did not have the number 48 in it when you signed it.
When I asked to have copies of all papers I signed, they gave you only one paper that included the receipt of first payment.
They sent me copy that I recognized as a forged document as I remembered that I specifically insisted on lease as long as I use the equipment and the lease will terminate upon sending the equipment back and they confirmed that by showing me that the document does not include any long term lease beyond the period in which I still have their equipment.
The lease agreement presented to the court as exhibit A IS NOT the same document that I signed. IT is an enlarged photocopy version and I have never seen it before.
I am instructing the court to ask for the original documents (not photocopies) and it might be easier to see that the number 48 was added later, after you signed the document.
