In 2005, My husband and I had arranged for a lease/option for a home owned by Morganti Modular Homes aka Morganti Properties we were told that $1000 was a down payment and if we couldnt get financed it would be given back to us, our credit was so so and we were turned down for a modular home loan but Mr. Ricardo Morganti owner offered us a lease option at another home asking for $14, 000 it was my entire inheritance . As soon as we signed the lease, Ricardo Morganti and his employees were calling and harrassing us over every little detail demanding we use a credit repair agency which we declined he continued to harrass us and threaten to evict us if we didnt do everything he told us to do I told him he was using loan shark tactics he offered us a 40 year mortgage where we wouldve wound up paying over$ 700, 000 for a house that according to the county assessor was only worth $140, 000 I confronted Mr. Morganti he said we needed to pay him another $15, 000 to which we said no he continued to harrass us having his employees call my cell phone every half hour in a 12 hour period and leave voice mails demanding we purchase the home. We found another home to rent where we still live We gave Morganti a 30 day notice and asked for our $14, 000 back he refused I spoke with an attorney who said we had a case but wouldnt help us. In 2008 Mr. Morganti was arrested by the Feds for securities fraud and in Nov 2010 filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy on all his businesses we have never received one dime of the $14, 000 from this crook and loan shark . He blongs in prison for the bait and switch that he did to us and I am sure numerous people
