We purchased two silver weeks at Marbella. The "pitch" of the week was that we would buy silver. IF we traded to Interval early, we could book a gold week and that it would be rented by Interval or Marriott for big money. WELL... interval does not rent anything. That is their policy. And Marriott Marbell won't rent anything that Interval has traded. I have listed the weeks on the timeshare websites with almost no response. The hotel rate for my units is $500 per night and I can't get $300 a night for the weeks. I feel very frustrated. I am a teacher and can never travel during silver weeks. We bought the weeks as they were pitched, as an income opportunity. Both weeks are for sale, but who knows when it will sell. Up to this point, I have been very happy with Marriott; we own two other time share units and have had much success. I expected the same experience.
