I have a 2003 Saturn Vue and have taken the vehicle to numerous mechanics that cannot explain the problem with my vehicle. Last week on April 14, 2011 I was stranded on Route 80, thankfully I was able to pull on the shoulder and put the car in park but when I tried to proceed I could not get the car in drive or reverse. The vehicle was running sluggish, the speedometer began to go crazy and the vehicle read "losing power". I was scared for my life since I was stranded on a major highway where tractor trailers travel fequently but I was able to get a tow truck to remove my vehicle from the shoulder and bring it to the mechanic. I have researched the web and to find out that the transmission for my vehicle was discontinued in 2005. I do not have the money to replace my transmission and if this was a recall by Saturn as an owner why was I not notified so I could have had my vehicle properly inspected before this happened. I have researched the we and also found the complaints by so many other Saturn Vue or Ion owners experiencing the same kind of trouble I have been experiencing with my vehicle for over a year.
