Awful service

My husband's doctor (who is a Blue Shield network provider) performed an X-Ray procedure at this facility which was adjacent to the doctor's office. The desk clerk took my husband's insurance card and made a copy but never admitted they were not in our Blue Shield network of medical providers. As a result, we received a bill for $1, 800.00 that had to be paid out of pocket and was not credited toward our deductible. We really feel this is a deceitful business. We learned a high price lesson to never accept services from a medical provider that is not in your insurance network. Main Street just wanted the revenue and would not disclose their status of being out of network. In the future, before ever being treated, we will call our insurance company to make sure the medical provider we have selected is still in good standing and "In Network".

Out of Network Medical Provider

My husband's doctor performed an X-Ray at this facility. The doctor was in our Blue Shield network. Main Street was adjacent to the doctor's office. The desk clerk at Main Street asked for his insurance card upon check-in but did not disclose that the facility was out of Blue Shield's network of medical services providers. As a result, we received an $1, 800.00 bill of which we had to pay out of pocket and in addition the $1, 800.00 was not applied to our deductible. We really feel Main Street is a deceitful business. They lead us to believe they accepted our insurance. In the future, before every treatment, we will contact our insurance company to make sure the medical services provider we selected is in good standing and "In Network". Main Street just wanted the revenue so be wary of businesses like this. They will not tell you up front that they are not in the network of service providers. Medical service providers that are not in the network charge astronomical prices and are not regulated by the insurance companies.
