To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to file a complaint about how my order was handled. I ordered a pair of crystal candlesticks for an engagement present. The party was across the country, so I thought in order to get a nice gift to them in time, I would order something online, instead of running to a store, packing the gift, and getting it to the Post Office myself. Foolishly, I thought that ordering a gift online would be much quicker. The party was in the middle of October, so I mistakenly thought I had plenty of time.
I order the candlesticks through you, and a confirmation of my order came on Sept. 17, 2006, via email. I checked it off my list and assumed it was all taken care of.
Recently, I began wondering why I never heard from the engaged couple about the gift I sent. I assumed they were too busy to send a "thank you" card. Then today, I opened my email and got a confirmation from you that the order just got sent out YESTERDAY!!! OCTOBER 25. Almost a month and a half late!!! At no time when I was in the process of ordering those candlesticks was I ever notified that the item was on backorder, so that I could have chosen a different item that could have been mailed right away. At no time did I receive an email telling me the order would be delayed. NOTHING! Is this standard practice? Does everything ordered from your site take 6-weeks to even ship???? What a lousy way to do business! I could have gone straight to the nearest Macy's, bought the candlesticks, wrapped them, and rode my bike across the country and still have gotten it there before that package gets there from you!
I will never . . . and I repeat . . . NEVER do business with you again. You have put me in a totally embarrassing situation with my friends. You are completely unreliable and I will tell everyone I know exactly that.
