Paint on several parts of the house is peeling off. Under warranty the
company should repaint. However, they have shown no inclination to honor
the warranty. Since February 2006, I have tried to contact them at the
above number and left numerous voicemails, describing the problem and
requesting service to fix it. None of those calls were returned. Finally
I reached them on the evening of April 3rd and spoke with Maax. He first
denied that the problem was covered by warranty and then claimed that
the warranty had expired. When I pointed out that neither was the case,
be became abusive and rude and refused to honor the warranty.
Immediately after the call ended, I got a call back from someone
claiming to be Maax's brother and claiming to be the "real owner" of the
business. He stated that he had heard all the conversation and
apologized for what he called Maax's "stupid and mad" behavior. He
affirmed that I had the right to repainting under the warranty and asked
me to call back at the beginning of May. During the first week of May
2006, I left 2 voicemails and got no response. I called again on May 9th
in the evening and again Maax refused to do the job. On May 10th, I sent
them a warning letter (copy enclosed) to which Maax responded with a
voicemail stating that he will do the paint, but had no idea when.
It is clear to me that the company has no intention of honoring the
warranty.
See my letter to the company below.
