Enjoy a bargain

return policy
After hearing the liberal return policy of Kohls, heavily advertised on the radio, I returned a blouse, with original tags, never worn, $30 value. No receipt. I had purchased the item 7 months previously. They scanned the credit card I used to purchase the item, could not locate the item date of purchase and offered me $3.00. Obviously, I did not accept this. Apparently they give only %10 if they can't fine the item in their computer. I think the policy touted is misleading. I would have accepted $10 store credit and spent it same day at Kohls if it was offered.

Kohls screwed my credit score.
Hello,
I missed a payment on KOHLs charge(credit) card, because I have not received any email ( signed for paperless statement….cursing my self for doing that ) about the statement.Also I have not received any call from KOHLs about me missing the payment or any reminder email. Finally after 30days after the duedate they called and told me I was past due. Then I checked the KOHLs site and paid the amount immediately. After an hour an asscoiate called me and said thanks for the prompt payment.
I got a notification two weeks back that I had a severe change on my credit report.When checked to see why the hell is that, to my shock the late pay ment was reported and my score went down by 60 points. KOHLS has not have any auto pay feature and they did not send any email or call me any time when i missed the payment. But they reported to credit agencies that i was 30 days late and my credit score dropped 60 points for that.
When contacted KOHLS on this they say they are sorry that they did not call me in the 30 days but they also said they can not report to credit agencies back about this and I have to live with that.
Do I have to suffer with this credit score drop ..?. I had 3 other credit cards from ( Citi and AMEX ) I never had any missed payment as they have auto pay and I set them up. This is the first time I ever had any missed payment.
How I can explain the situation that there is a problem from Kohl’s side to the credit agencies .
Appreciate any suggestion that helps me.

taking paments twice
I purchased some things from kohls. with the kohls charge card.I get the statement and pay online. Two weeks later, no notification that it went though. So, to avoid interest charges, I send them a check. Two weeks after that they take the money out of the account and then cash the check. Now I am charged $34 for overdraft protection. Here I am trying to avoid interest charges, and then they double dip my funds, without notification. I called them and asked why they cashed the check after they take money out of my account without notifying me that they did and all they had to say was, If you sent me a check, I would cash it too. Thanks Kohls.

They really need to staff the place better to keep the lines moving
I went holiday shopping today an Kohls and the lines were just too long. They really need to staff the place better to keep the lines moving so people can get their shopping done fast and not have to be on long lines during the season.

Unfair late fees
I received my Kohls bill in the mail on 2-10-10 with a due date of 2-11-10. I paid the bill on 2-11-10 online. The payment didn't post until 2-12-10 resulting in a $30 late fee. I called customer service and they only removed 1/2 of the late fee.
This is not fair, 1st of all a customer should have some time to pay a bill. Also the bill was paid on the day it was due, so really it wasn't late. Maybe thats why I didn't use that card for years and years until a cashier got me started saying I would save 20% off. True they did give me 20% off, but they got that back in late fees.
Cash or debit is the way to go.

Nasty Cashier
Im a regular costumer at Kohls.I love to shop there especially if they have clearance sale.Most of my stuff i got it at kohls.Everytime i shop there, cashier used to ask your email add for coupons.I love it coz i save alot for their $5 coupons.I used different emails everytime i shop (my husband emails and sisters).I never had a a problem using my coupons in the past.This 2days ago while shopping at kohls i used my coupons (me and my husband) to purchase kitchen stuff.This one cashier told me i cant use coupons anymore, since i used it with her 2consecutive days.I ask her why, she said 1coupon per costumer.I can understand that but i didnt use the same coupons.I recieve coupons every now and then everytime i shop at kohls..The 3rd day i shop again since they have 3day sale.I love those cupcakes jar and basket.What that nasty cashier did was followed me, not obvious but i know what she's doing..When i was in a cashiers line, waiting for my turn, i saw that nasty cashier phone the cashier where i am, then the cashier look at me.I know she talked to her about me using those coupons..I never thought they can do that..I hate to say this coz i love kohls, I think i need to change my shopping place.i shouldnt be treat like that, since im still a costumer..My husband is planning to file a complaint to the manager about the attitude of this cashier.They should know the value of costumer.They lose costumer if they let those nasty cashier act like they own the store...

Poop on the floor
I took my kids to the Kohl's in Canton, GA. It is pretty new and I was hoping the place would be clean. Boy, I was wrong. We walked to the toys department and we saw POOP on the floor. It was covered with napkin and from far I thought it was cofee. As we walked closer, the smell was gross. Apparently a boy pooped on the floor and the parent covered it with napkins. So bottom line is that the store was nice but don't expect any civilized people shop there!!!

Bill Payment
It is 2010 and I just opened up a Kohl's charge. When I went to pay my bill at the department store with my debit card, I was told that they cannot accept payments made with debit and that it could only be by check or cash. I do not carry cash with me so this is proving to be a big inconvenience. When I went to pay my bill online they want my routing number to make a payment from my checking. I do not have a checking account setup however just a debit account. So this too is ridiculous, Kohls needs to get it together. I have never seen a business more willing to accept a check over a debit/credit payment! If I had known it would be this difficult and frustrating to pay my bill with them I would have rethought my application for credit. Very disapointing.

Kohl's Cash
I went to this store on Valentine's Day and made purchases of about $177.00 on my Kohl's Charge. I received $30.00 in Kohl's Cash. The next day I had to return 2 items worth $62.00 since it did not fit me. When I went to the customer service counter to do the return with my receipt the cashier explained to me that this will reduce my Kohl's Cash unless I put the return on a Kohl's gift card or Merchandise Credit card is what they call it. So I said that it was okay. I could use my Kohls Cash from the 15th through the 24th I believe so I went back yesterday. When I was at the register, the cashier gave me 15% off my total and then applied my Kohls cash. First RIP OFF: The cash came off first and then took the 15% off which was applied prior. Then the lady tells me that I only had $10.00 remaining on my Kohls Cash. This is ABSURD: So I explained to her that I was told differently and thats why I used the gift card for return and not on my Kohls charge. Why would I select to pay interest on my credit card when I had the receipt for the return. So she calls the manager. Manager tells me that since the purchase was made on the 14th and its been a few days after she couldnt really do anything. ARE YOU SERIOUS? So I argued and told her everything all over again and she tells the cashier to give me the manual credit and then turns around to tell me that this is the 1st and the last time they would do something for me since they dont apply manual credits making me look stupid as if I was stealing. I am so done with this company! Something needs to be done!

Bad customer service
I've been a customer at Kohls ever since it came out. I haven't had any disappointments with Kohls yet until today. I have been looking for some trapper hats/beanie for my cold weather collection. I happened to see this really cute beanie on Kohls' website but this item is no longer available online. So I called up the nearest Kohls' store to ask them to look it up for me. This customer service rep put me on hold because there was 4 people waiting for her. Her name is Brenda by the way. Okay, that's fine. I don't mind. When she came back, she was laughing hysterically. I wonder what was so funny about me being on hold for 10 minutes. Anyway, I told her the UPC code and asked her to look up which store has the item. She told me Santa Ana store has one. Then I told her to transfer me to the department so I can ask somebody to look for it and put it on hold for me. She refused and said "it's only a beanie, and it's on clearance, we don't ask our associates to look for clearance items like this. They have better things to do. If you want it, you have to drive to the store yourself and look for it yourself." I was like, WTF??? Why would I drive all the way to the store to buy a beanie that I'm not sure it's even there to begin with? Isn't that the reason why I called first to make sure it's there????????? Hello, moron?????? So I told her that I wasn't asking her to look for it, I wanted her to transfer me to that department, that's all I was asking. She again said, "No, I will not transfer me to the department. You have to drive to the store and look for it yourself." So I was like, "Okay, so can you transfer me to the supervisor instead?" She put me on hold for the supervisor, supposedly. I was waiting and waiting forever and no one there. So I hang up and redialed and she was on the phone again. I asked her happened to the supervisor, and this time she managed to put me through. I'm not sure it's the real supervisor or not but his name is Shane. I explained to him what happened. He was like, "oh ok, so what is it that you're looking for again?" I told him I was looking for this beanie and he immediately told me that the whole store doesn't have any winter items. He insisted over and over again that his store doesn't have any beanie. For some reason, I can't seem to believe that.
It seems to me they don't want to waste time looking for small items. Maybe if it were a 2-karat diamond ring I was looking for, I would have had more help. I actually spent a lot of money on Kohls over the years. There were time I bought big ticket items and there is time such as this when I'm only focused on a specific item in mind. Regardless, whether assisting customer with small help or big help, it's good customer service. So what if I'm looking for something $10? Next time, I might buy something $1000. You never know you you offended. So they don't want to look for a $10 beanie for me and ask me to drive to the store to look for $10 beanie, why would I do that? I don't mind driving to the store for a $10 beanie if it's going to be there waiting for me. But why would I drive to every Kohls store to look for a $10 beanie? Which is more convenient? Me wasting time and gas money to drive to the store to look for $10 or Kohls for wasting maximum 5 minutes to look at the hats department and let me know whether they have it or not????
I'm discouraged to buy anything from Kohls ever again. Even if I buy, I'll make sure I buy something that's $5 or less and it's better worth every single penny. Thanks Kohls for having such a rude and discriminative customer service practice.
