corporate refund
On Jan 01, 2011, I returned 2 set Phillips tooth brush that I received as gift for Christmas which were about $300, I didn’t have the gift receipt so Kohls reduce the price and give me back the receipt of proof of return, and they told me that I will receive the store credit card about 7 or 10 business days. Hear nothing from Kohls after 2 weeks. I try to call the corporate refund office. Twice a day, 30 or 45 min each call, no one answer the phone. I went back and ask the customer service cashier which I returned the merchandise. They told me try to make some call. I told her that I try hard but no one pick up the phone. I asked to get back the merchandise I returned. You know what, they said they don’t have it, and they won’t return back. What is this????? They Literally stole my staffs and they won’t even give back the store credit. OK! Kohls, if you don’t want to get back the merchandise without receipt, just refused the return in first place, don’t play like that. Give the promise and then ignored it.

return my merchant but I did not recieve the refund
On December 23th 2010, I returned a vacuum and a sets of bedding to Kohl's that I received as gifts for my wedding which were about $300 . I did not have the proof of purchase so Kohl's reduce the price and gave me two receipts of proof of return, and they told me that I receive a check after 5 to 10 business day. I called the customer service, after exactly one hour holding someone finally answered me. She asked me to give my family information( the people who bought the staff for us) so she could find it in the system but she did not found it, so they said I have to "get the hold of them and if they do not find his information they can't give me my money or gift card." I told them why they even accept my merchandise in first place. She couldn't answer it and I ask her for the supervisor and she said that I have to leave a voice mail for her. When I said no and I need to talk to her she just ignored me and hung up on me! What is this?!!?!? they Literally stole my staffs and they won't even give me store credit. How should I complain when they don't even bother to pick up the phone?

RETURN POLICY FARCE
KOHL's Hassle Free Return Policy is a FARCE.

My daughter purchased my husband Nike Shoes for Christmas that were on sale for $29.99 plus tax. The shoes were too small, so my husband took them back to KOHLs in STOCKBRIDGE GA. We waited in line a while, then was told to just keep the shoes and find a replacement. So we thought great, we will see if they have them in his size.

Well they didnt. But he saw a pair for $39.99. He didnt know how much my daughter had paid, but he thought it would be around that amount. He took them back to the service desk and the gentleman there deducted $7.00 because he had no receipt and a $5.00 restocking fee. Which brought down the refund to a little over $20.00.

Long story short: He did NOT G I V E them the shoe back or purchase the New Shoes.

If the store gets $12 for EACH refund with no receipt, they are making money !!!

This is a FARCE !!!

Refunds
Received a set of earings for my birthday which was in November. Earrings were bought in Houston Tx. Went home to Las Vegas. Had the earrings for a few weeks when the stone fell out. My daughter bought the earrings but did not keep the receipt. She couldnt find it. On Dec 30th went to Kohls in Las Vegas with the defective earrings Store Clerk found exact earrings with a price of 60.00. We did an even exchange. Got the new earrings home put them in ears. Had them in 30 seconds tops. When again same problem the stone fell out. Took those back and the store clerk would not give me an even exchange or a gift card in the amount of 60.00. She stated that without the original receipt the price would be 25.98. So kohls has kept appox 40.00 of daughters money and this with no earrings. They also refused when I went in on Dec 30 to let me pay an additional 5.00 to upgrade to different earrings. Had to be an even exchange which I did. Question WHen the second pair was defective why didnt Kohls honor the even exchange receipt for the 60.00? The clerk and store manager said that wasnt their policy and they were rude. I feel cheated and frankly robbed for 40.00. Will not shop there ever again.

Paid Cash Refunded Cash AND Gift Card
Is this refund transaction within Kohls' Policies for refunds and good Cutomer Service:

Shopped at Kohls and find items totalling Price w/ tax: $ 72.00
Used a $10.00 Kolhs Discount Card. $ 72.00 - $10.00 = $62.00 Balance Owed
Paid in CASH = $62.00
Returned items within 5 days WITH Receipt
Customer Service Representative Gave $52.00 and a Kohls Gift card for $10.00.
I explained that in paid $62.00 in CASH (After the Kohls Discount Card was deducted from the $ 72.00 balance) and would like $62.00 in CASH refunded.
HOHLS CSR stated that I did not understand; since I used a Kohls Gift Card I must get a Kohls Gift Card for the same amount.
After debating this point, the KOHLS CSR repeatedly said that this is what her computer showed and "the computer does not lie."
After speaking with 2 CSRs I tried to find some Christmas gifts within Kohls to use the card.
I did not find anything within the Kohls store that I wanted to purchase and now wish to take my business and money elsewhere. Unfortunately, my buying power is now limited to $52.00 because KOHLS has retained $10.00 of my CASH money.

shoplifting charges
So my friend and I, for the first time ever, decided to shoplift from Kohls. What did we take?? Two shirts, full price value, hers were $36 and mine were $42. Both under $50. They ran after us from the store, we walked out of the store with the things we had taken, and a man ran up to us and stopped us before we reached my car. He said, show me what's in your bag, we didn't know who the eff he was, so were were like "umm...why?" he said we know you took something so show us what you took. We were confused because we didn't know who he was so we said no, go away. He said "look, we can do this the hard way or we can do this the easy way, I don't have to call the cops yet." so we followed him and the girl with him into a back room. They said, "ok, take out everything that wasn't paid for today", so we took out of our purses the two things each of us had taken. This was the first time for us to do this, so we were extremely nervous. We laid our things on the table and he lectured us about how shoplifting was bad and stuff like that. We asked what we could do, as in paying for the items or being banned from the store, he said we will talk about that later, no mention of calling the cops yet. My friend and I just said there scared out of our minds (we were 18). What they did was take a picture of what we took, totalled the prices and took a picture of us and filled in the blanks on a shoplifting document, still no mention of calling the police. He made us sign some papers saying we wouldn't come back, and fill out our personal information. Then he told us about Kohl's zero tolerance policy and how no matter how much the amount was we were going to go to jail. I tried to reason with him about how this was under $50, and how he never said anything before about calling the cops. We complied with what he said and what did he do, the exact opposite of what was expected. He and his female partner pretty much talked about how stupid we were for shoplifting and the male told my friend that she had probably shoplifted before, simply because she had like nothing in her purse. She's broke, she was coming with me so I could shop on that day, she left her wallet at home because she couldn't afford to buy anything. They were rude and didn't handle the situation well. During the whole process, the female was on her phone, made a phone call, and texted through out the whole thing. Any how, we went to jail and spent about three hours in a jail cell. Luckily, our friends came and bailed us out, $350. I will never shoplift again, but now I will never EVER shop from Kohls. Their management is classless and doesn't care about people, but simply meeting a goal of catching 4 shoplifters and sending them to jail. The police who arrested us didn't even want to take us in because the offense was so small. One female officer thought the case was so minuscule that she wanted us to be charged together so that we would move from a class "c" misdemeanor to a class "b". Bitches, all i have to say.

cut my hours because I didn't open credit
I'm hired as a seasonal floor associate in the men's department this holiday season. My primary job is to make sure the fitting rooms are neat and that all unwanted merchandise is returned to it's proper place. If it gets really busy I'll get asked to hop onto a register for a few minutes. Kohl's really pressures employees to get customers to open up credit so "she" can discounts to make "her" happy. (Khol's always uses female pronouns. As one of the few men that work there, it's pretty annoying.) I don't use the register that much and when I do, 99% of the customers already have a Kohl's charge. I just got my schedule for this week and I only work 2 days totaling about 15 hours. I asked a manager why I wasn't getting a lot of hours for the month and she flat out told me it's because I haven't made a customer open a Kohl's charge yet. I tried to explain the situation and she just told me to try harder. I don't know they expect a floor associate to open up charges, especially when they're not working that much.

"Delinquent" Account
Kohls had sent me to collections and notified the credit bureau that I was delinquent because I forgot to make my paymemt 2 months in a row (a grand total of $10). I'd forgotten that I had a balance at all which is why I hadn't made my payment. I apparently get my statement via email and did see a bill from Kohls. I also did not receive a call or letter to notify me that my payment was late and that I was being sent to collections. Now I have a record on my record report saying I was delinquent and Kohls refuses to remove the record. I'm sending a letter to their credit department tomorrow in hopes that they have the power and authority to remove this. I'm an extremely unhappy customer.

Coupons
I shop at Kohls on a regular basis and tonight I experienced one of the worst customer service experiences ever. My children are paid an allowance and with this allowance they choose to shop at Kohls. They each had their own money and a coupon. The sales lady completed two separate transactions of which they both handed her a coupon. When she gets to me, she says they can only take one coupon per household. I asked for the manager, who at first had no knowledge of the coupon. Then he all of a sudden says this is "per household" and I said where does it say that in writing or where does it say that on the coupon. The manager says he got this info from corporate. He ended up still letting me use the coupon but I was annoyed because 1 that "per household" (coupon said per customer per household), should have been on the coupon and 2 I saw customers next to me using 3 or 4 coupons. This manager was so rude and even said people work in hotels and take coupons. I said sir I don't work in a hotel. I then asked for the district manager and the corporate office. When I spoke to the customer complaint line, they said they have never heard of anything like that. They said the regional manager will be contacting me, but we will see. I don't have a problem with company policy, but I do have an issue when I am made to feel embarrased. Especially if the information is not printed on the coupon!!!

I was extremely disappointed to spend so much time shopping and not be able to use my 30% off coupon
I recently received a 30% off coupon through the mail and made note of the expiration date of 6-18-10. However, when I shopped today, (6-17-10) for an hour or more and proceeded to pay for four birthday gifts, I was informed that the coupon expired on the 16th. Even the cashier said it looked like an 18 but of course she knew the sale ended yesterday. I am a fan of Kohl's but I was extremely disappointed to spend so much time shopping and not be able to use my 30% off coupon. If you want customers to continue shopping at your store, increase the font on the coupon and make the sales date legible and next time you won't lose a sale.
