attitudes
Just a very short note on this 'complaint'. I was called and called and called last week about my account being late...I did not know that it was late (I made an error with my bill paying procedures) When I spoke w/no less than 3 different persons; none would explain sum 'I must pay by such and such a date or pay that amount the following month also. Though I said WHOA, please explain!!! I only figured out what they were all saying by going in to my local Kohls and speaking to a repsentative. This WONDERFUL customer service person explained their shananigans it to me... without an attituted and with a nice smile. Kohls almost lost a customer.
My problem/reason for this complaining note: I did a little shopping a Kohl's today and when given my slip(s) was told to to call www.kohls.com/survey ...for chance to win Moms day prizes...(I foolishly thought i was to report about that day's customer service).
No so, it was a lure to join a group of persons who will be paid for surveys and required so much personal information that I was waiting for a request for my teeth fillings (as metals are so dear right now). Nowhere in all the materials that I read were mentioned Kohls or chance to win a Mother Day's $15, 000 family vacation.
Sincerely, Phoenix, AZ

Buyers Beware - Wrong Sale Prices posted on racks
Kohl’s either has incompetent staff or they are seriously trying to stay in business by posting wrong prices above their clothes. I went to their store this evening to purchase a few items and ended up paying more than I wanted.
There was a sign above the Hanes t-shirts stating buy one get one free. There were no other Hanes products to the left or right of these Hanes shirts for me to think oh they are referring to the underwear at the back of the isle!! Anyway when I get to the register they tell me oh it's buy 2 get one free. So you see folks at that point you already have two in hand at full price and if you are not careful no one will tell you oh go get a third as that one will be free. You think you are paying for two with one being half price...
The second item I went to go purchase was a pair of Sonoma boys Cargo shorts. There was a sign above the shorts stating 50% off Sonoma shorts and the board listed Cargo shorts as one of the items. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. I get to the register and the sales lady tells me oh you can get another pair for free as it's buy one get one free. Once again the sign was wrong as they scam you into buying a second pair and making you pay $24 instead of $12.
Bottom line is that I wanted to buy two Hanes shirts as they were buy one get one half off which would have had a pre tax cost of $15 and a pair of Sonoma shorts at 50% of 24 for $12 for a total pre tax cost of $27. Instead I ended up paying $34 for one Hanes t-shirt and two Sonoma shorts!
Anyway I can't see this company staying in business for much longer with such fraudulent behavior. It's unfortunate for the hard working employees that are going to be victims of poor management.
BEWARE BUYERS - CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!!

Scam and cheating
Kohl's currently will change your address information without your consent. They use credit reports to check for addresses and if they find a conflicting address they go ahead and change your address. They do not attempt to get in touch with you to inquire about a conflicting address, they just go ahead and change it without your consent. This has happened to me and they changed my address and starting sending my bills and my new credit card to my ex-husband. When I called to find out what happened, they claim they have the right to change your information based on Experian. I tried to explain that my legal address was current and had been for 3 years. They don't care about your situation, they don't care if they put your information into the hands of strangers, they claim to not have a 'systematic procedure' in place to present system updates from occurring. They are their exact words. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission. I'm appalled at this business practice and want to shout at the rooftops to cancel your Koh's charge cards. If they don't have proper systems in place to protect your information, run from them as fast as you can... I truly cannot believe this is legal.

My bad experience
My boyfriend proposed to me with a beautiful diamond ring from Kohl's, unfortunately it did not fit so we took it back to get it resized. A few weeks later (when it was ready) we went to pick it up. The ring was missing the diamond and after talking to the manager she said that there was nothing they could do about it and that I could pick out another ring of the same value. I then explained to her that this was the ring he picked for me and the ring that he PROPOSED to me with and that I wanted that exact ring. The manager was very rude and didn't seem to care for there customers feelings. So after all that our only options were to keep the original ring with the missing diamond or pick some thing of the same value. Needless to say I picked out another ring, but I AM PISSED!!! I will never shop at Kohl's again and warn everyone to not get jewellery resized or anything else of that nature from their.

incompetent employees
I have been a loyal consumer of Kohl's for ten years, both in-store shopping and online orders. Without my knowledge or permission, Kohl's put a fraud alert on my account. I am currently working in Wyoming where there are no Kohl's stores whatsoever. When I tried to place my Christmas order online, as I do each year, I was informed that I can no longer use my card online due to the fraud alert initiated by Kohl's for unknown reasons. I spent hours on multiple calls to customer service to correct this. I had to repeat my account number six times to the employee on the phone, who kept confusing my account number with my phone number. (Perhaps Kohl's should do a drug screen on its employees). The only answer I got, repeatedly, was, "I can't help you." Apparently, my best option is to cut my Kohl's charge card into tiny pieces and shop elsewhere.

Harassing phone calls
I purchased an item from Kohl's for around $45.00. I did not pay on time and they sent me a bill for late payment plus service charges and interes. Over $35.00. I call this PREDATOR FEES. Now Kohls is calling me many times a
day, I told them I would not pay thier Predataor Fees.
Some times as high as 9 timies or more a day, I am keeping track. I notified them not to call my home because I have a ssick person in my home and i do not want to cause them duress. Can they do this? I have told them MANY times I will not pay the bill. Now they resort to harrassment. What can I do to stop the phone calls. I will not pay the predator fees.

Scam and cheating
In December 2007, I purchased a $25 gift card for a relative. Since it was about two weeks before Christmas, I opted to pay extra for rush shipping. I entered my information and my relatives information correctly. I double checked the transaction and confirmed the order.
The item was supposed to arrive well before December 25. My aunt, the recipient, called and said she never received the card. It was a grab bag gift, so I was embarrassed. I called Kohl's and I spoke with a representative. The representative told me that the card had been accepted in my aunt's hometown. However, it never arrived at the appropriate address. I asked her to cancel the card and refund my money. At this point, almost a month later, I had bought another gift card and mailed it myself. I had spent well over $50 on a $25 gift. The rep told me a manager would contact me. I never heard from them or was refunded the money. I called again, but the call was again ignored. DO not purchase from this company, online. It was a bad deal all the way around.

credit card
This is the second Kohl's bill in a row I have received with a 25.00 non payment fee and finance charges. The last time I never received the bill in the mail. I know they have my correct address, but I also know the bill never came in the mail. All of my other bills got paid on time that month! This time, I received the bill and mailed payment on the 15th. It was due on the 19th. $25 nonpayment & finance charge because they did not process the payment by the 19th. I beleive it was received by them on time and I am paying because they take a few days to process their payment. I really think they are trying to make money off of people who just accept this fee & don't question their policies. I used to like shopping at Kohl's, but it's not worth the hassle anymore.

Rude employees and unwritten policy!
My wife and I go to Kohl's weekly to shop for clothes for her. She has spent thousands of dollars in this particular store in Hendersonville, TN. Today we went in as usual browsing clothes, and when she had picked out enough we made our way to the fitting room. We are nearly 30 and have been married for 3 years. She has always taken me in with her to comment on how the clothes fit and if she should buy or not. We have never had a problem doing this before, and there are NO signs posted stating that a man is not allowed to go in to the dressing room with his wife to give her opinions on her clothes. The main reason she takes me in is because she wants to save herself the embarrassment of having to walk out and show me in front of everybody if the clothes don't flatter her.
Well today like any other time, we go into the fitting room and she starts to try on the clothes. The only signs that I see on the wall say "5 items or less in the fitting room at one time", and a sign to the effect that the dressing rooms are monitored, so don't try to steal anything. NOTHING about men not being allowed inside the rooms.
Suddenly a terrible bang comes from outside and a woman starts yelling, yes YELLING about how I am NOT allowed in the rooms, that they are for woman only and I need to get out immediately, and how I should be ashamed of myself. I stated I was not aware of that policy and left the room, having to traverse the eyes of the bystanders that heard her outburst, and now think that I've done some 'lude' act in the dressing room with a girl. On top of this, my wife then has to go through the embarrassment of bringing every outfit out to show me, instead of being able to show me in the 'privacy' of the dressing room.
As I stood outside the dressing room, I started to become angry because I realized that NOWHERE did it state that I couldn't go in. It was as if I should magically have had this innate sense of etiquette that tells me that a man is not allowed to accompany his wife anywhere there are other women locked in rooms, whom I can't see trying on clothes. RIDICULOUS.
As the woman walked by I read her nametag. Kathleen. I was very polite to her. I said "Ma'am, I don't understand why I was asked to leave the dressing room?"
She began to make points that didn't add up.
1 - She stated that this fitting area was in the woman's clothing area and was therefore naturally intended for woman ONLY.
My problem with this. the sign says "For your convenience - FITTING ROOM". NOTHING about 'Female only' fitting room, 'Non-Male' fitting room...
I stated that we were a married couple for 3 years and were grown adults of 30 years. We had no intentions of any wrong-doing, and that I thought that she had been extremely rude and obnoxiously loud when we had done nothing wrong.
2 - She stated that it was a store policy and that all customers were required to follow it.
My response...WHERE IS IT WRITTEN? Where is it so that I know that? I would have no problem following a store policy if I know it exists.
Her response was that if I am a grown 30 yr old, I should know better! hmmpf.
So I asked to speak to her manager.
She gets on the phone and no doubt tells the manager her side of the story which I'm sure was twisted in her favor.
The manager comes over (not wearing a nametag; AMAZING) and proceeded to be as rude if not more rude than Kathleen. Stating that I should KNOW that I am not allowed in those dressing rooms.
I told her I wanted to see it in writing. If it is a store policy, than it must be in writing SOMEWHERE.
Her response - I don't have time to show you.
My response - well, we don't have time to buy these $300 worth of clothes.
Her response - I don't really care.
So there you have it...I would say this incident qualifies as discrimination when I am not allowed someplace when there are no signs posted saying I can't enter, especially when I am with my wife.
I will also be sending this to Kohl's headquarters in hopes they will at least take action to make sure this kind of incident doesn't happen again by posting signs and hopefully taking action against the parties involved that were extremely rude and hurtful to me and my wife.
