 Our Policy Is...

My name is Rick Tyler. I love KFC chicken. I live with my sister's family in Monroe. The other night we drove to KFC and
purchased a bucket of chicken. My brother in law paid with a debit card.
I handed the cashier a $20 and asked for two $10's. She said I had to buy
something before she could open the register. I told her I just did.
She said she was sorry but she was just doing her job and
that was policy. I asked to see the manager. Elaine emerged from
the back. I explained again that I needed change to pay for my half of the chicken.
She explained that it was policy not to give change or open the register without a
purchase. I asked who made that policy? She said it was to thwart robberies.
I asked is it written into your franchise agreement? She said yes. I said show me
please. She told me it would take a minute to print it out. I said fine, I'll wait. She
returned several minutes later with register paper with the 1-800 CALL KFC
number on it. She said she had called her supervisor Chris Basinger and he told
her what to do. I explained to her that I had planned a return visit the following
week with my niece, but now she was losing a customer.

I told her this was how things started with the NAZI's in the 1930's. People
simply stopped analyzing why they did what they did and followed strict rigid
rules without regard to the circumstances (the camps). "I just did what I was told"
was the common response at the Nuremberg trials.

Let me give a little more context. I am a 52 year old 300lb man with a noticeable
scar over a quarter of my skull from brain surgery on September 21 for removal
of an orange size stage 3 cancerous tumor. I have slight speech aphasia and
 move slowly due to chemo.

 Elaine should have solved this

 cutting hours

i have worked for kfc for over a year when i went off to have my son.i returned in december and since then have had my hours cut. i understand that the economy is bad but shouldn't companies have plans in place for this, instead of falling back on your workers who are also feeling the crunch. especially with a new baby. its bad enough that my scheduled hours have been cut but when i get to work i am sent home after only 2-3 hours i live 1/2 hr from my work and this does not pay for my gas and a sitter on days that i require one. times are hard for all businesses but i have not heard of this from other companies. we work in less than ideal conditions, we are expected to have fast service when one of our fryers are broken and a cooker also, with no repaires in sight. there was no xmas party and no xmas bonus or even a card. SHAME...we are expected to keep a clean store but how is that possible when you are sending people hom on a whim, and i certainly am not staying off the clock to clean someone elses bathroom. you have to start showing some respect and if you are that strapped for cash just lock the doors in liverpool and put us all out of our missery. |

Put my credit card through on wrong amount

I was at KFC at 11h15 on Saturday the 27th of Feb,
I ordered four snackboxes and another junior burger and the cashier told me my total was R66 odd. I handed over my credit card, she put the transaction through. Before I got my slip the cashier asked me to please pull forward as their patties were still busy being cooked.

I pulled forward and after five minutes I was handed my food and my slip.

It was only after I got home that I realised she had in fact not put my credit card through for the R66 odd but at R106.60! The till slip clearly noted my credit card number so it couldn't have been the wrong slip that was handed to me.

 SHOCKING SERVICE!

If it was merely a mistake, I demand a refund at the very least.

Missing mini loaves in my order

I ordered the special 8 pc that comes with 2 mash and gravy and 3 mini loaves. Everything was there except the mini loaves. I would have let this slide but it seems like it happens to me all the time. The other 2 occassion was at woodmead drive thru the first time my order did not have the 1litre coke and the second time it was one piece short. So the process need to include some checking cos you are using the drive thru for convenience not to be ripped off. |

 No chicken at KFC

On Friday 12022010 @ 21:00, after waiting 20mins in the queue- finally when served they had no chicken unless we were prepared to wait another 20mins, so we decided to have rounders, when we opened the box we had this roll & salads & had to look for the chicken breast. This is not the first time that we had spent so much time in the queue, they seem to be on a go slow and also the rounders are getting smaller - not worth it anymore. |

 Continuous disappointment from KFC

Each time I visit KFC there is always something wrong, here is a list of my experences:- On most occasions when I request a certain portion of the chicken with my bucket order, they advise me that they cannot, and yet the sign clearly displays peices, no where on the headding does it say only there peices per bucket. Lets not start with how rude the so called manager was, if that even was the manager
 - They are always forgetting to add in something to my take away bag. The last time they did that, I reported them. I purchased 2 x Tower Meals, when I got home I see that they did not add the Hashbrowns. So basically I paid for Tower Meals but got plain Zinger Meals instead. So in other words I got ripped off. I refused to once again drive all the way to KFC to get my correct order, as it wasn't my fault, instead I called the contact centre, and logged the complaint. They later advised me that they will send me a voucher to reimburse me for the so called 'rip off'. To this day I haven't received any voucher. It's been two months now and I'm still awaiting for KFC to reimbursement me.

 Not Enough to Fill Order

I am sure I am not the only customer who is tired of ordering chichen from the KFC menu, only to be told that it will be a twenty minute wait, because they are out of the product. When I asked, why are they continually out of product and customers have to wait, the reply was "We do not want prepare more product they may be required". If this is policy, then the cost of doing business, is more important then acheiving customer satisfaction and establishing repeat customers. What happen to monitoring customer demand cycles and special preparation of high-volume sales by chicken part. KFC has loss repeat customers for years, for one simply reason " SORRY, WE ARE OUT OF WINGS"! |

 Abysmal service

A group of us grove over to a KFC a few weeks ago. As we drove into the car park we saw them locking the door (a quarter of an hour early). They ignored our knocks at the door so we eventually left and phoned a complaint through to their head office. The reply was a standard letter that ignored all the questions we had asked - including "why should we ever patronise your chain again?" When we wrote to request a proper reply, the letter we received stated that they would not take the matter any further and stated they were sorry we were not happy with their refusal to respond to issues raised. Further chases via the USA office (free to phone rather than premium rate as in the UK) have been ignored. We're amazed by their rudeness and arrogance. |

I would never again eat at that branch

On my recent visit to kfc at the crossing in north west mafikeng i ordered a zinger burger meal. Firstly the burger was dry and had no sauce or anything secondly when i was eating my chips inside the box i found a fried bug. When i reported it to the manager she said i was playing a joke and i was being mean and rude.. Being a customer i found this attitude very annoying and unnecessary. As i would never again eat at that branch... please check out for bugs in your meals. | | RECENTLY UPDATED REVIEWS
