charges
Intelius is a racket. I went into the website to request information on a phone number. According to Intelius the charge would be only $ .99 cents. Intelius did provide the information but two weeks later I went into my bank account and Intelius had charged me $19.99 for additional subscriptions that I did not authorize. I want my money back. By the way Intelius has posted on their website several phone numbers that when you call a machine puts you on hold until you get tired of holding and hang up. I was on hold for one hour. The voice on the phone directs you to [email protected] but how will this help me. |

money taken out of my account
money was taken out of my visa account, i did not want a subscription i thought last month it was a one time fee. i want my fucking money back. i tried calling waited an hour and a half and no one came on the phone. Unauthorized charges on my account
I was charged by Intelius Peoplesearch $15.85 which I expected to pay, but also included on my American Express bill were charges of $69.90 and $19.95 for one month = $105.70. I paid this charge in order to not damage my credit record. Now this month
I received a bill for $19.95 again for membership which I never wanted or asked for. I want to be credited for the $69.90, $19.95 and $19.95 and taken out of your "so called" membership.
I expect action with 10 days or I will have my attorney contact you.

Taking 19.95 out of my account monthly without my permission, I did not sign up for this and cannot get a hold of them
I did not sign up for this. They have been taking out 19.95 out of my account monthly and its totally impossible to reach them. This is a bunch of crap!!!

Customer Service Not Acceptible
I have made several attempts to call intelius to cancel subscription. I get put on hold everytime and spend 10 ~ 15 minutes on hold never to get through.
On the phone recording it states you can log onto custserv@intelius to email information. I cannot get through to this website either.
I have been paying a 19.99 fee each month and I do not use the service.
I want to cancel.

overcharged
i clicked on the 2.99 special the minimum info for a person search and it told me that amount would be charged to my credit card. i just looked at my statement and i was charged 19.95!! i am not happy. please return my money. i did not agree to be charged that amount!! thank you!

I'll never use them again
I paid for a reverse phone lookup, and did get it. Then, I got off line. Now I see that I was charged $19.00 for Credit Card Protection, which I never agreed to or ok'd. I emailed them, they said they would "look it over" and get back to me, but haven't so far.
Now, I see that they are planning to charge me again, on September 30, 2008, I guess for another $19.00!! I again email them and told them I did not order this service nor was I interested
I have gone round and round with this company before and should have known better. I'll never use them again, and have warned my credit card company what is going on.
Best of luck to the rest of you. I am so angry!!!

Fraudulent billing
I used INTELIUS one time last spring, an paid the $38.00 bill from my checking account. Since then, they have continued to deduct $19.95 from my account monthly for "subscription services" They have so far ignored my complaints to cease billing me. Checking on the Internet, I have learned that there are numerous complaints against them, and several persons are pursuing the matter via their Better Business Bureau and/or Attorney General's Office. I have no desire to have any fraudulent "subscription" from this company, and consider continued deductions from my account to be outright theft. This most recent dipping from my account resulted in an overdraft on to of their fraudulent charges. How can I stop this other than going through the Arizona Attorney General's Office? I brought this to my Credit Union's notice in June, and was told at the time to contact the company. I have attempted this several times without results. What is my next option? Perhaps there is grounds for a class-action suet here.

Reverse phone lookup
After paying for quite a few reverse phone number searches I found out that they were giving me blatantly false information as to who the numbers belonged to. I even wonder if they were making the names up because the information turned out to be so incorrect.
