Unauthorized charges
I needed a new coffee maker and googled the brand I wanted. iKitchens looked like a great company so I paid for it online. I have not received the coffee maker and they have had my money for weeks. The phone number is disconnected and there has been no reply to my email. This appears to be a scam.

Dishonest practices
On November 28, 2008, I ordered a Cuisinart Griddler GR4 from GiantSavings.com. The website indicated that the product would ship in 2-3 business days. After a couple of weeks, the product did not arrive and my online shipment status was not updated. I tried contacting giantsavings.com (which I have now learned also operates as mykitchenandhome.com, metromarket.com, and ikitchen.com) and did not get a response. After a couple of days, I contacted the paypal support address (paypalsupport AT ikitchen.com) and requested a status update. After a few more days, I received a response that they were sorry for the delay and that the product was backordered and would be shipped as quickly as possible.

I gave it another week and still did not receive any sort of update. The website always indicated that the product would ship in 2-3 days. I also noticed that the website started offering refurbished units at the price that I had purchased mine and that the new units were now $20 more. I sent another email to the service support and asked the status and confirmation that the unit they were planning to ship was not a refurbished unit. After a few days, I received a response that the unit still was back ordered and that the one I purchased was indeed a refurbished unit. My order confirmation and everything that I received from them never indicated that the unit was refurbished.

I requested a cancellation of my order and full refund of my payment through PayPal. After a few days, I had not received any sort of response so I filed a dispute with PayPal. I finally received a notice that my order had been cancelled.

I still have not received any sort of credit in my paypal account and can't get a response confirming when or if they are going to credit my account. There are no phone numbers available to call and the only way to contact them is through email. My next step is to file a claim through PayPal and hope that they can get my money back.

Be cautious of anything offered through these sites. I am not certain if they are legitimate businesses; if so, their business practices are questionable to say the least.

Scam and cheating
I had the same problem as SpizyChicken with this company. I placed an order and never received it and was told that my credit card would not be charged and of course it was. Also, had the bogus UPS tracking etc.. I finally went thru my credit card company to get a refund and they handled it from that point on.

I have learned my lesson and after inspecting the sight closer they didn't even have a contact telephone number. Have ordered for years over the internet without any problems until this company. I guess I have just been lucky.

Fraud
Briefly, I purchased a "Vornado Heater" for $87.92 from "homebrands.com".
On October 19, $87.92 was deducted from my PayPal account by a "Metro Market Sales".
On October 31, I received a UPS notification that a "Gary Benson" entered a shipping bill for an 8 lb. item.
As of November 11, the item has not shipped yet, as the UPS tracking indicates.
I have previously emailed the customer service address (mailto:[email protected]) for an explanation of the long wait, as well as requesting a refund.
I have not had any response whatsoever from "homebrands.com", and I'm currently in dispute with PayPal to get a refund.
Here's where it gets interesting (I did my own online investigating)...
The address of "homebrands.com" and "MetroMarketSales" is: 1204 Avenue U #1087, Brooklyn, NY 11229 which, thanks to Google Street View, is a Mail Drop address. Their 'Customer Service' phone number (their website states is 'down') is: 718-989-9318, which is a recording. Feeling immediately uneasy, I check the Better Business Bureau online. Well, it seems "homebrands.com" also does business as: dotcom project, giant savings, homebrands.com, ikitchen.com, kitchenhomegadgets.com, hcg logistics, metromarket.com, and many more, according to the BBB listing, along with their warning not to do business with them.
Visiting "metromarket.com", one finds a similar merchant website, and when clicking "about us", one finds a photoshopped "Metro Market Stores" storefront supposedly at the same Avenue U address with a "Please visit our store when in the neighborhood". Yeah, sure.
Upon furthur investigating online, it appears that there are HUNDREDS of complaints against this company by other customers getting charged for their purchases, and not receiving their items, not only from "homebrands.com", but "ikitchen.com" and other related webstores.
"HomeBrands.com" are apprently run by a "Dave Balas", also listed at 256 W36 St NY, NY. It also seems "HomeBrands.com" Corporation is listed at 2439 South 11th Street, Niles, MI 49120 and phone number: 616-683-7080, also a recording "Lines are Temporarily Busy".
"aboutus.org" lists "HomeBrands.com" contact as: FurnitureFind Corporation 616-687-8653, also a recording "Lines are Temporarily Busy".
You see where this is going.
A search on "my3cents.com" of "ikitchen" gives one a plethora of customer complaints.
I can go on with more information I've discovered, more supposed company addresses, etc., including finding that the domain, "homebrands.com", is 'privately listed' with WhoIs.
So, one can see this company does a fine job of presenting themselves as legitimate online, but in reality, they are accepting lots of orders, but not shipping product, hence, a fraud.
I'd like to make sure others don't get taken by this now-obvious scam.

Incorrect Product delivered
Site looks valid but inadequate information given regarding products. Bought a Juicer however, product delivered was a refurbished machine. It was supposed to be a new one as no part of their website gave any indication that this is what they were selling. Customer support is nil as there is no phone number or address to contact them. They were quick to charge my credit card so now have to cancel the card in case the site is fake.

No customer service
This site needs to be shut down.It looks legitimate until they get your money. No customer service at all. They do not respond to e-mails and do not answer the phone. I ordered a birthday gift for Mom and they assured me it would arrive on time. The item did not ship until after the birthday date. We refused shipment so the item could be returned and no answer from the company and no refund. Do not waste your time or money with this company. buyer beware.

Charged for Cancelled Item
Ordered a small appliance and was not able to obtain shipping info. Called and was told that the item was on backorder. I cancelled the order and asked for an acknowledgement. Received an email from Elvia to "Dear Valued Customer" indicating that the order was cancelled and "no charges have been applied".

Received my credit card statement yesterday and the charge shoed up the day after I cancelled. The phone at iKitchen is no longer in service. The folks at Kitchen and Home have assured me that they will credit the account TOMORROW. Meanwhile creditcard company says that I need to wait to hear back from the vendor that the charge has in fact been reversed.

At the very least they are very poor business people to deal with. At worst, they may be intentionally dishonest, as other shoppers have concluded.

No product and stolen money!
http://www.fraud.org/info/repoform.htm----contact these people and complain. This site need to be shut down. They look legit, but have numerous names-and noway to contact through e-mail. They took my order, sent a confirmation, and only after 16 days when I sent them an email inquiring, did they tell me NOW, that it's backordered 7-10 days. I paid with a debit card, so I have had to cancel it before they wipe out my bank account and wonder whether I'll ever order on-line again--it hurts legitimate sites and shoppers. They have no phone and don't respond to subsequent e-mails. The scam is they delay with this no contact..."your order is shipped"..."your order is backordered 7-10 days"...then you have to wait 7-15 to get, but you never do. THEN, FOR THOSE WHO PAID WITH PAYPAL, IS PAST THE 45 DAYS THEY ALLOW TO DISPUTE AN ORDER. In otherwise, you think you're safe with PayPal, that your stuff is really coming, and by the time you realize you've been duped-paypal won't help either. I feel totally violated, stupid, and ripped off.

No response, no delivery

It has been over 2 months but I have not received the item I purchased. They are not replying to emails either. Paid via PayPal but paypal says they can not resolve the issue because I should have disputed within 45 days of the payment.

No delivery of product!
I ordered a kitchen utensil 6 weeks ago and still no delivery and no contact from iKitchen. No response from customer service other than a "form" response telling me to allow 15 days for delivery. Emails and calls are totally useless. I am having to file a claim through my credit card company. What a mess. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SORRY COMPANY!!! WHATEVER IT IS YOU WANT IT IS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE TO ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AT ANY PRICE.
