on my wedding day I had booked a hotel room from this site, it looked ok and the price of the room was not that much cheaper then getting it from the hotel itself. The reservation did not even go through.

Like all of you, I am a victim of this crowd which is sometimes known as hotelcollect, bilsen hotel, hotel4u, gala something and probably has other names. This company is now called hotelsvision.com. Unfortunately, having aired our misery on this site has very little impact on their business unless they are reported. For your comfort, I'll share my belief that "bien mal acquis ne profite jamais" (ill-gotten property is rarely enjoyed fully).
