Frequency of oil cahnge and break fluid change
I am the owner of a 2009 Honda Civic here is Israel. I jsut past 45000 KM and during the 45000 Km schedueled visit I was told by the local Honda dealer that I must change the break fluid otherwise they will not extend warranty anymore for the break system. When I asked them where does it say that in the owners manul they said it does not but the Honda was not designed to work in our local climate environment and they locally came to this conclusion. To my astonishment I also discoverd that the oil change they force us to do every 15, 000 Km and not every 20, 000KM as it is written in the manual.
So my question is why are the local people making decisions on their own just to generate additional revenue or is it true that Honda is just manufacturing an inferior product that is not compatible to the local climate here, (same as in southern Europe, Turkey, Egypt...
From some of my friends I know that other companies, Nissan, Toyota and even Hyunday, do not seem to suffer uner the local weather conditions. I would really appreciate if you could clear this up for me because in this day and age I do not need to buy a car that needs to have the breakfluid changed every 45000 KM and the oil every 15000, particulary if there are plenty of other cars that seem to be far superior in this aspect.

Bad Car,Bad Service,Bad Company

yet not sure this address is the right one for my case or not,
not even sure if I'd get the right treatment as a response to my case or would I just get the same “irrespective" treatment I've been having for a 3 years now,

Now just because I have only 2 months on the warranty you promised on My Honda Civic

Let me any way state my case and you have the right to take it in the manner that reflects your company strategy

It started on July 2008 when I decided for the 1st time in my life to go for a Honda Car, or if I may say a "Honda Moving Machine"
I've been told that Honda is a reliable and durable brand that I can trust,
So I decided to go and get myself a good looking vehicle of yours
and I was more than happy with the great design and the lovely engine,
Yet could not believe myself when I received a call from your HQ in Dubai checking on me and asking if there's anything I see unsatisfying,

And again after the first service that showed me huge of respect your company pays to its customers

yet the misery starts on the 12, 000KM
I faced a very Dangerous Behavior on the car on the high way when I pushed the Breaks Pedal and I suddenly found the car shaking on a speed of 150 KM/H
I thanked god I'm alive and went to the service center and reported the issue that they responded very fast that the problem is in the "Breaks Pads"
I again was happy when they changed it and I went home happy that I was right to choose "Honda"

Then starts the series of troubles,
I started feeling that the Suspension of the car is not like any car I've ever used, It's too tough and you feel it's going split apart

I reported this issue as well and all they could say that the suspension needed to be checked but it's now fine,

and here's the two cases that never came to an end,

I've been driving this car that obviously "Has Not Passed The Quality Checks" going to perform the service on its time reporting the cases as a respectful customer, accepting the service centers "NON SENSE" clarifications they are using to trick me not to know that I've been given an unsafe, untrusted, unchecked and horrible moving machine of their brand

Al they cared about is to get me out of the service center and ask me to check and get back to them,

Do you accept this “Checking a serious problem in the breaks on the high way with my family"

what kind of company Misuse it's customer's life as a test just because he "TRUSTED" in them

and just to cut it short I've been Risking My Life and having an comfy drives with your car for three years just being a Non Trouble Maker Customer,
But since I've been treated with Ignorance

here's what have been done to my car:

Breaks:
1. Change of pedal pads for three years on the warranty (trying to hide a bigger problem existed)only one time I paid for the pads because I saw I used it for so long that I should pay it
2. Alignment of the "Break Disks" (That failed to fix the case )
3. by accident I knew that on the 12, 000KM he "Break Disks" has been changed without informing me(and obviously it didn't fix the case)

Suspension:
1. playing with the screw drivers every service and convincing me it has been done for three years,
2. Changing the Engine Brackets(and the engineer made me feel as if it was a favor then I knew that all the customer has changed it)
3. Changed the steering Box assembly

Note: all those changes has been done because I've made a complain to the customer service,

All This, and I didn't have a car except for 12, 000 KM and they can’t admit the problem and stand for it

I paid almost 150, 000 EGP for 12, 000 KM

last week I went to the service center to report the case with anger that I've been driving your car for THREE YEARS and you have been ignoring the fact that this care is done by mistake, putting my life in Danger and giving me Three Years of uncomfortably drives just because you can’t admit My car "Should Have Been replaced From The Very Beginning"

and the answer was..."Sir we found that the break disks need alignment"
WHAT??????????

After three years of being polite I get this???Three years is not enough for them to understand????

let me end this by saying that I work for a huge automotive company, and I know my rights, and I know the law and the mouth word marketing
and I have the after sales team in my company following up with me until I get my rights, even if we had to take it to the government or the public media,

I through my car in the service center last week, and told them I don't want it,
They called after a while to convince me to do the Alignment AGAIN,

When I refused they told me that they will send a report to "JAPAN" and get back to me and asked me if i want to take the car till we get the answer
I refused as this is not a car, and three years is more enough risk of the lives of Me, My Wife and My daughter

I have three cars under my house, but you OWE ME A CAR I BOUGHT THREE YEARS AGO

would like to start saying how great Honda cars are, reliable, comfort and style .
between my spouse and i we own the Ridge-line, Accord Civic, and Fit and just purchased a civic . on December 21 2010 I found a car on line at a reasonable price
decided to call and make an appointment .. arrived at the dealership at 7:30 P.M and deal was made in about 45 minutes after my arrival .

Being late, and after a hard day at work i decided to come home park the car, and wait till the next day to really take a good inspection . Well after my detail inspection i removed the floor mats and found Dog feces, I immediately called my sell person and had him aware of my findings, He then asked me to drop off my car on saturday, my car will not be shampooed till Wednesday of the fallowing week which it was fine with me all i wanted is my vehicle to be clean of course., I want to drive a clean car .week later after i received my car i went home at night and realized that my remote control for my Home alarm and my Garage remote control where missing . i called the next day and spoke to Adam the sales person and in return he said that he will look for it . day later he calls me and leaves an message on my answering service state-ding that he has found my remotes, Well i drove to the other side of town and came to find out that those were not my remotes., .so he asks me to give him a couple of weeks for him to research so i did, Today i come to dealership and all i get is they are not here and we don’t know where they are .so they are gone we don’t have them so i asked to speak to the sales manager whom was extremely rude and unprofessional because he walked by me and did not even acknowledged after waiting a half of hour with all of my four kids whom were waiting in the parking lot while i was inside . i asked how much longer will it take for the manager to come and speak to me ? and finally a gentleman come and started to speak to me and after him saying we don’t have your remotes there’s nothing we can do about it i he personally did not see them so he can’t do anything about it .After speaking to me for more than 45 minutes he has the audacity to ask me for my name, That made me lot more furious how could you be aware of a situation and not even know te name of the coustemer whom you are dealing with .

To finished it all, I bought a car that was pooped and ever since then my relationship with(Honda) dealer is nothing but poop

Horrible PR, rude service rep.
Forget the scattered good reviews. I usually do not form opinions reading reviews, but this time I agree with all of the bad reviews. I was told that I would be getting a courtesy shuttle. But on reaching there the technician said there was none on Saturday. He rudely said - "Did I tell you there was a shuttle on Saturday". I then spoke to the manager. I told him I had a confirmation email from his office. He said he could somehow arrange for drop off.. but no pickup. Phew.. All of the staff are totally disoriented and have their own domains, except for the telephone operator. I will never ever go this dealership !!! I was totally respectful to all employees, and there was absolutely no attempt to help me out. Disgusting PR

Inferior Paint used
Just a commentary on my newly purchased Honda Civic. Before a year of ownership I noticed patches of cracked outer paint on my car. I took it into the service shop of the Sales center I purchased it from. They looked at it and said it's acid from bird droppings. I said the car is not even a year old! My Jeep Liberty was purchased in 2004, sits outside parked under the same tree and it's paint is like new! No kidding! Yes I understand bird droppings are acidic. Yes I know if you don't get it off it can ruin the paint, but in less than a year this car looks like what birds have dropped on it. Honda's aren't inexpensive. I trusted Honda's name to be a good one. I am very disappointed that I've worked so hard to get my car and now it's less than 100% beautiful. I was also advised that I would need to have the areas affected repainted. Great work Honda! Please consider using a better paint than the one you are currently using. Jeep has figured it out why can't you. I can tell you, my next car will not be a Honda. For all the good you do in the engine and gas areas, what good is keeping a car for a long time if the body rusts out?
On top of all that...Honda treated me like I was crazy to even hint that my warranty might cover this. Maybe I am, but my crazy dollars won't be buying there next time.

Diagnosis/Repair
I took my Civic in for some maintenance. The man apparently could not fully diagnose the problem with the car. I knew I had something wrong with emissions because the warning light was on. He called and told me for 600 bucks he'd change out some parts, but couldn't be sure that would fix the problem. So I'm stuck, if I have him fix the parts, and something else is wrong, no telling how much more money that is going to cost. The car is 6 years old, had regular maintenance performed (not by Honda) but it was performed. Car had 72000 miles on it, not that bad. I don't understand how a dealership can run a business on "maybe this will fix it, or maybe not" kinda leaves you between a rock and a hard place. I will tell ya this, this is my 4th Honda car. When this gets resolved, I will buy NO MORE Hondas, nor will the family. I'm sure this will be good for their business especially these days.
