Bad service
I wish I'd read the reviews here before purchasing my new fridge. The two day delivery took nine days and even after I told them repeatedly BEFORE I PURCHASED THE FRIDGE that my drive way was very narrow and they needed to use a small truck, they showed up with a 34ft truck. Their smallest truck. When they could not get the truck to my house they TOLD ME TO BORROW a smaller truck from a friend or neighbor so they could complete the delivery. I went back to the store and told them just give me my money back and I'll buy elsewhere. They said no, no, no, we can make this work. I finally did borrow a truck from a friend and got the fridge to my house where the installers dumped it and ran. They didn't even bother to put my 70# house door back on the hinges leaving me to fight with it by myself for 30 minutes.
But it gets better.
When I noticed the next morning the seal on the freezer was not working, lots of condensation and ice in the freezer, and reported back to the store they said they'd send a team out to check it. The bozo team arrived a week later to tell me the seal was bad and they'd have to swap out my fridge.
After three weeks of waiting while they tried to figure out how to get a truck to my place the bottom line from the regional manager was, it was my problem. I had to get the fridge back to the store for a refund, if I couldn't manage to do it, no refund. I told the sales person 3 times explicitly before I purchased the fridge it would be difficult to get it to my place, were they sure they could do it. I was told repeatedly yes, we can deliver it to you, no problem.
Not only did they lie through their teeth every step of the way, they never returned calls, and then in the end expected me to somehow get a 400# brand new but defective fridge back to their store to get a refund.

Me and my husband went to hhgregg and spent $4, 026.63. We have got the poores service anyone could ever get, I had to call them 4 times to get them to send me booklets on the applanices that i bought, after the 4th time of calling i recieved my booklets a week later, but all of the booklets were not there. Also they were surpose to call me for a service call on one of the app. (make a note i bought thse 529/2010) they have never returned my call. I have told other people do not go there and buy anything, they do not stand behind anything they say, sorry but the best thing i can say is everbody puts down car salespersons HHGREGG IS TWICE AS BAD. I am gettting in touch with the BBB today they have got on my last nerve. DON'T GO THERE TO BUY ANYTHING YOU MAY END UP LIKE US.

Was scammed at hhgregg store by employee
Warning. Was scammed at hhgregg store by employee. I entered the store after reading that they had 24 month interest free financing on purchases over 397. After talking to the sale person I was informed to get the 24 months on tv's you had to spend 999 or more. So I did. Then I get a my statement from the CC company and they say 24 months on all purchases 397 or more. Long story short I call the hhgregg store where i purchased the products and that is correct 397 or more on ALL STORE ITEMS. I am returning both tv's tomorrow because they only wanted to give 50 dollars of my 1500 dollar bill for their employees mistake. Employees work of commision so it doesn't surprise me some will tell customers different things to get more money in their pockets. Please watch if using there financing.

They completed a credit card in my name without my permission
I personally went in to try and purchase a washer and dryer. After telling me they would be able to have the pair delivered to me the next day, I filled out a finance form to purchase the product. They then informed me that they do not know when they would be able to deliver the products. No estimate whatsoever. They then completed a credit card in my name WITHOUT my permission. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and filled fraud on my credit. I cannot believe that they would do this. They wouldn't even give me my personal information back. I suggest no one go to this store! They have caused me such a hassle...

No doubt it will be my last visit there
It was first time being at an HHGREGG and i was attacked by salesperson as I walked in the door. I stated I just wanted to browse but she would not leave me alone. Manager stated that is how they do it and that they have a different clientele. Stated maybe I should go to Walmart or Best Buy. No doubt it will be my last visit there.

Employee Treatment
I am a now former employee of this company and would like to share with other potential employees my experience within the company. I quit around 5 hours ago after a manager (Richard Burdugo is his name) cussed at and threatened my job directly in the middle of fixing a customer's order. The customer, who I had spent 2 hours working with and selecting the correct product, immediately asked for a return. Right after he asked me directly "why do you put up with this" and left.
This wasn't just the last straw, this was one of many.
I had typed a note and handed it to management 2 days ago asking if I could be trained to do PC Optimization. I told them it didn't matter what it took, and even offer to come in on my day off to learn so my sales would be more profitable. Today in our pre-work morning meeting our entire store was yelled at for 30 minutes about our lack of PC Optimization sales. When I told them that over half of the staff did not know how to do this, they said that you should have learned already. I asked again when I could be trained at which time refused to train me.
The main thing I want to get out to potential employees is that their pay structure is not what they tell you in training. We are on a draw system where you go against $7.25 an hour. The problem is, if you are 1 minute over 40 hours, it goes to all of your hours are counted as time and a half against draw. For example, if you work an even 40 hours you have to earn $290 in a week or you go into draw. If you work 40 hours and 1 minute, you have to earn $435.18 to cover your draw. This is not what they told us, this is not what I signed off on, and the have refused multiple times to give me the HR number. I called our Corporate number and complained a week ago when I noticed that pay was off and was reprimanded within the store for doing so, even though they could not give me the answers to my questions which I had asked.
This company is very unprofessional and will tell you one thing and expect another. I encourage any employees with similar complains to post them and to not be bullied around. I kept all of my numbers and paychecks because I believe I will have to go to small claims court to get the correct amount of money that is owed to me. I am hoping they will be willing to work with me to give me what I earned, but if they wouldn't help one of their own employees, how much do I really mean to them as a now ex-employee.

It took hours and multiple contacts to get the mess straightened out
I ordered six major appliances for a home under construction and paid for them all. The dishwasher and range hood were delivered when needed. Inexplicably, the accounting department cancelled the refrigerator, stove, washer, and dryer. It took hours and multiple contacts to get the mess straightened out. The delivery is pending--I hope it gets done on time.

I will never shop at HHGregg again
I purchased a Fridaire washer and dryer set from HHGregg . I paid to have the merchandise delivered to my house. When the delivery people showed up, they informed me that they would not be able to take the washer/dryer down to the basement because the staircase was too narrow and the stove was too close to the door. They told me I would have to move the stove, not just turn it sideways and shut off the gas. They said I would have to remove the trim from the basement door and the railing into the basement. After all that was done, then they would come back. They left my new washer and dryer in the kitchen. It happened that I also hired movers to move my furniture from my old apartment to the new one. They heard me fretting about the situation and offered to try to take the washer and dryer downstairs, something the HHGregg delivery people did not even attempt. Twenty minutes later, my new appliances were safely in the basement, no damage to my apartment. I went back to the store to inform the manager of the situation. He indicated that he was sorry and someone would be in touch the following day to resolve the situation. The woman who called the next day stated that taking the washer and dryer down stairs could have caused a liablity. She then scheduled me to have my washer and dryer hooked up the following day. Ideally, I would have liked a refund, since no one told me anything about possible difficulties moving my new appliances into an older house. At least, and what I would have liked was a sincere apology and to be at the head of the installation appointments for the day following the incident. Instead, what I got was corporate runaround and another wasted morning waiting for the delivery guy. I will NEVER shop at HHGregg again, and the next time I have something delivered, I want a copy of the policy up front.
