Pathetic Service from Haier
I am a Senior Citizen residing in Delhi. I purchased a Haier Refrigerator and took AMC after the completion of its warranty period. The Model no. of the refrigerator is HRF 351 FRA (S.No.) BCH 3101186
The refrigerator started giving problem just after 2 months of its purchase. Since then every month I have been logging complaint and the refrigerator works for 15-20 days after which it again starts giving problems.
Initially, after registering a complaint the service person used to come immediately and atleast provide some temporary relieve. However since the time I had signed my last AMC (29/07/09 to 28/07/10) the response has been pathetic.
The records of these complaints are:
1. Complaint No. 10000190381 (Dtd. 23-08-2009)
2. Complaint No. 10000207079 (Dtd. 17-09-2009)
3. Complaint No. 10000216739 (Dtd. 3-10-2009)

A brief description of how the Haier People are harassing me.

For the complaint raised on 3rd Oct, Haier Technician Mr. Gurpreet Singh (M.No. 9213121546) visited the same day. According to him there was a Gas leakage and he told me that someone else will come the next day to fix the problem.

However for next 2 days no one showed up. After this we contacted the service centre, they asked to contact Mr. Parveen, who is the complaint In charge (9810853827).

He gave us the contact no. of another technician Rajeev. Who after daily reminders showed up on 29th Oct 2009. He lefts the work incomplete, promising that he doesn’t have the required equipment to service and will come back again next day (30th Oct. 2009). We waited for him, and called him to know when he will come. He replied back he has got a lot of complaints and can’t come today. He asked me to contact his supervisor Mr. Pravesh (Contact No. 011-65641620). Pravesh assured that the complaint will be definitely attended on that day itself.

As expected no one came to attend the complaint.
Can someone please look at it.

My question to the Haier Leadership.
1. Is this the way to service your customer
2. Refrigerator is such an important part of life that it is difficult to live without it for 1 day. I am suffering for the last 28 days for this complaint t be attended. Infect from the day I purchased it.
3. I have to make daily 4-5 calls to the Haier service centre. The amount of money I have spent on the telephone calls is more than the AMC cost. Who is responsible for the unnecessary expenditure of Pensioner money? Will Haier Refund it.

Poor Product
Purchased HAIER washer from Conn's on 6-26-2009 and picked it up 10 days later due to Conn's negligence. Washer quit spinning water out about a week ago, finally called service tech who came out 3 days later, and told me my brand new machine had "worn or used belt". Called HAIER directly who told me it would be 2-3 business days before they could even have anyone contact me back. So now we have a washer that has not worked for a week and is in pieces in my laundry area, and has a "new" part on order that no one seems to know when it will arrive, and after it arrives they don't know when they'll be able to come put it in. Did I mention I have a family of 5 and the machine is less than 4 months old. Never ever purchase a HAIER product, they suck.

Haier Television 29 inch is not working.
Hi

I have bought this television approx 3yrs back from M/s. Navrang Electronics, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi and had problem of switch off in july 2009 and it was serviced by your authorised dealer HI-Tech of Ghaziabad by taking it to their service centre as their engineer could not locate the fault. I was delivered back my set by paying about Rs.3800/=towards replacement of parts and service charges. Now, again this problem started of auto on/off and engineer of HI-Tech has not opened the set to locate the fault and again want to take set to their workshop and I do not want to hand over the set to unknown officials who does not know anything about technology of yours. Earlier, complaint was made on 13/6/09 and set was deliver on 3/7/09. My model is 29FIA and serial no. is 00271. Now, complaint lodged on 14/10/09 vide no.1000024871 and till date no response is received except visit of two dehati people does not looks like engineer.

Kindly do the needful by sending engineer from company as I am not willing to deal with your dealer workshop or replace the set. Else, I am going to take up matter to Media and consumer court as I told to your BPO attending complaint calls. Now, ball is in your court. AFTER SALES SERVICE
we have purchased a 2 ton capacity haier multi split air conditioner model no- AS122BMMAA SERIAL NOS- KDH0403143/45 IN MARCH, 2006. IN THE YEAR 2009 OUR HAIER SPLIT WAS BURNT DUE TO ELECTRIC PROBLEM. WE COMPLAINED TO THE CORPORATE CARE AT DELHI AND WE WERE GUIDED TO THERE AUTHORISED SERVICE CENTRE NAMELY COOL POINT. THEY CHARGED US HEAVILY BUT INSPITE OF THAT OUR MACHINE DID NOT WORKED PROPERLY. WE COMPLAIND SO MANY TIMES BUT THEY ALWAYS GIVE AN EXCUSE AND PASS THE TIME. WE ARE VERY AMAZED OF THE POOR SERVICE GIVEN TO US BY SUCH A REKNOWNED COMPANY. WE HAVE ALL CONCERNED DOCUMENTS WITH US. IF NEEDED WE CAN PRODUCE THE SAME.

FU__-ALL SERVICE
Dear friends,

I AM WRITING TO THIS FROM NEW DELHI WHERE I AM SUFFERING BECAUSE OF HAIER'S POOR SERVICE NETWORK. I PURCHASED RANGE OF HAIER PRODUCTS (REFRIGERATOR, MICROWAVE AND FRONT LOADING WASHING M/C) BELIEVING IN THE QUALITY HAIER PROMISES.

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY WASHING M/C (MODEL-HG1200 TXVME) AND SINCE LAST 15 DAYS I HAVE BEEN RUNNING BEHIND THEIR CUSTOMER CARE DEPARTMENT REACHABLE AT TOLL FREE NO. 1860 180 3333 WITH AROUND 08 REMINDERS FOR A REQUEST TO RESOLVE. COMPLAINT WAS FIRST REGISTERED ON 03 AUG 09 AND SINCE THAN THE SERVICE ENGINEERS HAVE VISITED ONLY ONCE. THE SERVICE ENGG. COULD NOT RESOLVE OR EVEN IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM WHICH WAS EXPLAINED BY ME IN VERY SPECIFIC AND CLEAR TERMS. I AM STILL RUNNING BEHIND THEIR NETWORK TO GET THE PROBLEM RESOLVED.

I EMAILED THEIR CUSTOMER CARE DEPARTMENT IN INDIA AND CHINA AT [email protected] ON MORE THAN THREE OCCASIONS, AND TILL DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLY.

i believe the company is very busy marketing its product while paying very little or no attention to after sale services.

Believe me, if the service standards are not improved, HAIER may be rest assured that people in India will out right reject their products.

Poor Quality
Purchased a Haier dehumidifier on 5/10/2008. I live in Wisconsin so we only run it about 4 months per year. I went to start it mid-June and it runs for about 5 - 10 seconds and shuts off. Bucket is empty and seated properly, can't find the cause of the issue. Haier tech support is non-existent, I'm suppose to take it to a service center and pay to have it diagnosed, let's see...$170 for the dehumidifier, how much to diagnose and fix, I might as well buy a new one. The last one I had lasted about 15 years, this on, 4 months of running. I will never buy another Haier product.

Portable tv
I purchased a Haier portable tv from Buy.com. The sensitivity of the tv was terrible. I could not pick up a single acceptable signal in my house. Every other tv in my house including a cheap $20 portable performed better. Connceted to cable it looked fine. Email to the manufacturer was not answered. Returned for a refund.

Faulty ac
In May 2006, I had bought a Haier window ac from Vijay sales in Andheri, S.V.Road, under their promotion scheme. From the onset the ac kept on giving problems. It was changed three times because the technicians could not solve the problems. In or around September-October that year, while the product was under warranty, one of the technicians, Sanjay, came and broker the swing of the ac and said he would come and fix it later. But he never came, despite numerous calls.

My husband is a bed-ridden invalid and so I never got time to follow up the complaint, specially since the ac was not in use. When hot weather started again I called up and was told that since the ac was no longer under warranty, I would have to pay for the swing to get fixed. When I said that the technician himself had broken it while it was under warranty, I was told that since the product was no longer under warranty, I would have to pay.

Even the remote was changed 3-4 times, because the ac would never reach the temperature on the remote, never cut off and would just not work properly. Now, too, ac is not working properly and remote works separately from the ac. The ac does not work with remote at all. I am really tired and don't even get time to do follow ups and make calls. You can check with Vijay Sales, or your records.

If you have job sheets with you, you can check about the technician Sanjay, when exactly he came to my house and how and when he broke the swing. You would also learn that the ac and remote have been changed three times at least.

Brand new washing machine not working!
I purchased Haier fully automatic Washing machine (HA-655 TME) from Vijay Sales, Thane, Mumbai on July 07. It was working fine for few days and started giving problem as smoke started coming out from its timer. Till today it is not working. Various calls to Vijay Sales, Haier local service center were not looked into it. I am unable to use the new washing machine for almost 2 months and Haier is not doing anything. I will never ever go for a Haier product here after.

2 Months for repairing a washing machine, clearly shows the pathetic service by Haier.
