Extremely poor customer service
This company has about the worst (alleged) "Customer Service" operations that I've ever seen. I have, over the past week or so, spoken to three (s) separate individuals. All did the same thing: took my name and telephone number, and promised that I would receive a call back within 24-48 hours. No one has called back. I have sent, additionally, two (2) email messages, bringing the matter of their tactic of making a commitment, and then not making any effort to keep it. Neither message received a response.
So . . . don't waste your money buying a product that, as indicated by other complaints on this board, is not good value for the money (let alone a "good" product), and then have to go through the time-consuming, frustrating experience of trying to find someone at the company who has the knowledge needed to assist you--and the courtesy to return promised messages. STAY AWAY!

Air conditioner
I purchased a room air conditioner from Brandsmart last year. This year it does not cool at all. I purchased a used one from a friend, It works just fine. I think a brand new unit should last more than one season. I'm very disappointed with this product.

washer
On january 31 I called into Conn to request servivce order for my washer that was still under the extended warranty I had purchased. The technician came out and stated he had to order a part. The part was delayed due to weather so I understood, however; once the technician did come back out I was again informed he needed to order another part. So here it is March and I call in regarding no service being done and was informed since it's been over 30 days you can request that we replace the washer. I put the request for the replacement and was told I would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. After 48 hours no call was made to me so I call Conn's back just to be told it declined by corporate but, they could not tell me why being that it had been over 30 days and my washer still wasnt fixed. I want service. I would like my washer to be replaced. I hope this is not the type of servivce everyone is faced with who does business with conns. This is only the 3rd complaint I have with conns and generally the rule is3 strikes and your out. I was hoping Conns would get it right the first time and I can say after the first two I thought conns had redeemed themselves but, well we shall see.

Replacement of timer in washing machine

Failure
Three years ago we had a 3 ton air conditioning unit installed by a licensed contractor. In may of this year the computer control board failed and was replaced. The electric motor in the unit failed and was replaced. Now, in August with temperatures rated at 108 degrees, the compressor motor has failed. The contractor was called again to replace and admitted that these units had caused problems and we no longer being installed by him or the person that bought his company. This leads me to believe these were faulty units and that there is a possibility of multiple failures. I would like to know if a class action suit has been filed or if one should be started.

It has been eight months now of talking to customer service people with no answers as of yet
I purchased a Haier America washer/dryer combo last June. I used it once and after one wash cycle the unit broke. I called Haier and told them that the cycle selector knob was stuck and that the unit was not drying clothes properly. I also told them that a bunch of water was left in the drum even though the machine had gone through a dry cycle. A repairman was called and when he came out he replaced the timer. He left and the machine did not work when I tried it again.
After about a month Haier sent another repair man who claimed he had never seen this type of machine before and he ordered a new timer and a new motor. He installed these after they arrived and the machine still did not work. Finally Haier called me after two months had gone by saying they would send another repair man out. The new repair man came out and deemed the unit un-repairable. He said that the unit had been flooded and that the electrical system was rusted out. The unit is in my basement so now Haier is claiming that my basement flooded. My basement has never flooded but I am not surprised that the electrical system is rusted. Water was sitting in the machine for five months because nobody they sent out to repair the unit knew what they were doing.
I have tried to call Haier many times to find out what their final decision is. The machine is under warranty for a year and so it should be replaced. I have had so many people telling me the problem would be looked into and I would get a call back but never have.
It has been eight months now of talking to customer service people with no answers as of yet. I am assuming that Haier will not be replacing the machine that is under warranty and that they will continue to make excuses. I will contact my lawyer, the Better Business Bureau, and I will post my nightmare situation all over the internet. I do not recommend that anyone buy Haier products. They do not uphold their warranty and I have since read other reports of similar problems with flawed products.

Despite our repeated reminders and follow-ups, the problem still remains unresolved
I had purchased a Haier dishwasher in Bangalore, India an year and half back. Two months back the drying cycle stopped working and I had registered a complaint under warranty to get the problem fixed. Despite our repeated reminders and follow-ups, the problem still remains unresolved - with a standard response from the service personnel: "PCB needs to be replaced and the part is not available with us in India". Even at this point of time, they are not able to commit on any service dates. Once in a while, they keep sending some service engineer, who re-diagnoses the machine and comes with a standard response that PCB needs to be replaced - we will raise an indent but it may take time.

i am very unhappy about a belt for a dryer, not on the truck. i call haier (supieror) and asked about talking to his superoior, he refused to go though with the information. very poor customer service.

LCD FAULTY & FRAUD BY TECHNICIAN
Dear Sir,
1) Given below is the details of the purchase of product (cash memo number and date) asunder :
• Product Name Haeir,
• Product Type LCD TV,
• Product Code L32A18,
• Purchase Date 31/07/2008,
• Dealer’s Name Hazarat’s Vision(East), Planet Haier, 19 Lalita Park, Vikas marg
New Delhi – 110 092,
• Bill No 15292 (Photocopy attached)
2) 12 months warranty was given.
3) ** LCD started to malfunction after 14 months of purchase.
** Made a complaint to the customer services dated 30th Oct 2009 for the repair of unit complaint no being DEL0911050109. The complaint was logged under my wife name Bharti and the mobile number that was registered for communication was +91 9910530787, +91 9868125320 (numerous calls have been made regarding this issues, records for calls made can be retrived from customer service deptt.)
** Technicians (name given to my a by customer service help desk agent named Pratibha was Rakesh, Kamal respectively) from Haier Services came to my house for repair of the unit.
** They gave me an estimation price for the repair of the unit worth Rs 6000 cost of equipment + 750 service Charges Total 6750/- (six thousand sevenm hundred & fifty only) (including Services charges and Cost of the motherboard) that was faulty after their diagnostic result (Photocopy of Job Card attached)
** Thinking of getting it repaired soon I paid the technicians 50% of the total estimation by cash i.e 3700/- (three thousand seven hundred).
** The techinicains taking the money never showed up. After 2 days when they did not come I called up the customer services they logged a new complaint and again send a technician at my house named KHAN. I showed him the previous job card given to me by the previous technician
** He also diagnosed something and said that the unit is irrepairable as the LCD panel, motherboard, and power supply has gone faulty and the total cost for repairing would be approximately around 15000/- (fifteen thousand only). He also said that the technician who had come to my house ealier has already left the haier Services and has joined to a different company.
** I was stunned to hear that because I was totally lost there. Being a middle class person I had purchased that LCD on an installment basis. I had given a down payment of worth Rs.1000/- (Ten Thousand) and then gave the rest amount in installment EMI worth Rs 2362/- for 14 months. And at the end of the 14th month the LCD wnet bad. That was shocking for me still thinking to be an electronic equipment I that that it would be repaired so I was patient. Then KHAN said I will give it try and try to repair so he asked for spare time. After two days he again came tried to change the power supply still unsuccessful
** I again made a complaint to customer service they again send a technician to check the unit. The technician came and said the same thing that this unit could be irreparable yet we can give it try by taking it to our services centre. I denied at that period of time in doing so keeping no faith on them.
** I then contacted my dealer and asked for the help in regards to it. He also contacted the senior manger there in Haier Mr. Deepak. Mr. Deepak told me that we need to diagnose so the unit is required at the service centre. I agreed to it and then he made arrangement to take the LCD at the services centre.
** After one week when I contact to Mr Deepak he said that the unit cannot be reapired
NB.
Now here the question arises :
a.) How a 14 month old Technology could can not be repaired, what so ever may be the reason
b.) If we think about new technology we never create things that will go faulty so soon and then it becomes a junk until it works. Haier has created a Good technology “USE & THROW”. But it is only for High Class People not for Low Class and Middle Class
c.) The worst customer services I have ever experienced
d.) The irresponsibility of the people working at the service centre, the non acquaintance and less knowledge of the technician at Haeir technical Support because just plugging of wires does makes anyone a complete technician
e.) Last but not the Least – Fraudalent work and lots of pain
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THIS
I am totally frustrated after a Loss of approx 50000/- and non responsibility of the people at the HAEIR
I need the equipment to be replaced as it is not my fault whether that is irreparable or anything because being a technical person I know that a technical equipment may go faulty, however it is repairable
Stunned to see that the new technology is not repairable and no body else than me is going to suffer for this. I need a compensation
