I need an explanation.....
I'm getting telephone calls from a company at different numbers questioning family members about me. Initially a "Tiffany" called from 859-272-0831 and asked my father alot of questions about me. She asked that I call back 859-272-0831 or 1-800-834-9526. When I called back to 859-272-0831, I spoke to a "Charles" whom asked my name and telephone number-he then informed me that Greentree was a servicing company then rushed me off the phone. So I called 1-800-834-9526, and spoke to "Wayne" who was very unhelpful and unprofessional. "Wayne" transferred me to someone who just said they were with Greentree and they could not give me a name or location. I told this unknown person what was going on and they transferred me to "Tiffany"'s extension 65516 where a guy named "Loni" answered. I explained to "Loni" that I do not have an account number and what was going on. He demanded to know my social security number. When questioned why I would give him that-he said well someone was probably just trying to reach someone that you might know. I explained to him that that was not an acceptable excuse. Noone in my family has an account with Greentree. Then, he said he would leave "Tiffany" an e-mail to return my returned call. He ensured me she would receive the message "first thing in the morning". I have received no call from "Tiffany". I left a message at her extention around 9:30pm (4/21/2011). Her message on the voicemail identifies her as "Tiffany" but then she leaves instructions about giving a payment. I left a voicemail saying I needed an answer as to why I'm receiving calls. When I do a search on the internet on Greentree, there are alot of negative statements about Greentree and the commpany is not BBB accredited. "Tiffany" from Greentree called 4/30/11 at 1:40PM from number 859-245-6630 asking to speak to me, then my father and then my wife. I asked her what she wanted and what was the purpose of her asking all these personal questions. She gave no reason. Then she asked to speak to my brother and his wife. I told her that she was not allowed to call here and then she hung up the phone. I called her back and told her that she hung up on me and that she was not allowed to call my telephone number 859-498-3339. I feel that this company owes me an acceptable explanation-my calls and e-mails questioning their motives continue to go unanswered. My number is on the Do Not Call list.

Cheated and lied
Greentree is a predatory lender. They add fees and interest and add charges to the end of the loan. They harass and threaten and intimate and bully. They are not in any way shape or form a company with integrity. They are not cooperative about given written information and documentation. They will only work with you unless they can cheat you. They call repeatedly even after a payment has been made and another is not due for as much as 20 days. They belittle, twist your words and refuse to listen to reason. They know that they are dealing with people with less power and they take full advantage of them.

Rude service
I have been behind on my loan several times. I don't dispte the debt. I explained my husband lost his job and we have had a financial setback. Lathan did not care, he lectures and is very hateful. he hangs up on the calls HE makes. If you don't tell him what he wants to hear, he is nasty to you on the phone. He is unwilling to work with me on anything. I have wrote a letter to the company and gotten a response from them that they would talk to Lathan, however, it did not work. He sometime calls me 10 times a day. Look Lathan, if i had it I would pay you, even though you are a mean person. But i don't have it, your money will come when i get it to give you. BACK OFF.

Incompetence
GreenTree purchased my mortgage 8 months ago... they have yet to apply a single payment correctly to my account. This despite me complying with their every request. (1) I have formerly written a letter stating that I want any additional payment sent to apply to the principle balance;(2) I correctly fill out the payment coupon marking the 'apply additional payment to principle'; (3) and I not the additional amount going to principle on the Check memo. For 8 months, I have to call every month to have it adjusted. How can a company never get this correct. I will do whatever to have my payment processed correctly -- just tell me what to do!!?? They tell me I am... and they continue to make the adjustment and then mark my account to ensure it does not happen next time. Where is the consumer protection that allows me to take action due to them incorrectly processing the payment month after month? Who know if I am paying extra interest since my statement has so many corrections they don't fit on their 1-page statement... so they get cut-off.

This company is incompetent and I am praying a reliable bank purchases my loan... Please!

unprofessional behavior
I am renting a moblie home that is financed in another ladie's name (no relation to me) and for the rent, I make the payments to Greentree Servicing as a rent to own deal with the lady mentioned above. I got behind once and Greentree served ME papers to go to court. I called them and told them they can't do that, because my name is no where on any paperwork they have. They tried to tell me yes, they CAN do it so I told them I would contact my lawyer (I don't have one but they don't know that) and suddenly they dropped the whole thing. A few years later, I got behind again because my husban'ds work hours were drastically cut. One of the gals that work there told me she could have me kicked out of the home in 10 days and I told her no, she couldn't, the loan is set up on a monthly basis and they would have to give me more that 10 days. Her reply was "watch me do it!". Then she told me to have a yard sale and sell off my possessions to get the rest of the payment (I had already sent a partial payment) I laughed and incredulous type of laugh because that was so ludicrous and she told me, "oh, you think that's funny? It won't be when I have you kicked out!" I started to tell her something else and she hung up on me. VERY professional. I called her right back and she wouldn't answer but had the call sent straight to CS, who switched me to the lady's supervisor. The supervisor told me that the first woman had NO right telling me they could have me kicked out in 10 days, and that from what I told her, the woman's behavior was unacceptable and would be spoken to about it. THIS is the type of people they have working at Greentree. The supervisor was respectful, but the first one I talked to was rude and condesending (AND uninformed) beyond belief.

Scam charges
My home loan has been paid off and overpaid by $54500.00 I have contacted them numerous times and all they say is they are researching why the money has not been refunded. It has been forty days since they have received my money. They will not return calls and are not understanding at all. If I would have been this late on a loan payment they would have evicted me and reported me to the credit bureau. This is the worst company I have ever seen, do not get a loan from them. My original loan was with Bank Of America and they sold the loan to guarantee. If your mortgage company sells your loan to this company. Call them immediately and refuse the transfer due to this companies reputation. Greentree takes advantage of people and should be stopped.

Awful company
Hello my fellow abused citizens of these great U.S. of America, I have been, threatened, degraded, humiliated, demoralized, and abused just like so many obviously. I can not figure why in this world a company as unstable as Greentree/ Conseco/ Greenpoint and how many other names it has had, can be so NASTY to people and not lose all of their business.

I also do not know why these people, (yes, 'these people', not 'this Co.'), are allowed to be so MEAN to others and get away with it. Who do we 'the people' need to contact? Where does this VICIOUS cycle end? HELP, someone, please!

I have been given 5 days to 'GET OUT', with 3 kids and nowhere to go. I work full-time, go to college full-time and try to do the best I can. Times are tough, but they don't care! They call me 'LAZY', that BI#@* does not know what she's talking about. She also says that I 'don't care about my kids, because you can't provide them with a roof over their head'. I am 2 months behind and have no other options according to Greentree representatives. I hope that Karma kicks her a**!!

Awful service
My loan was sold to Greentree from Conseco about 6.5 years ago and since then it has been a nightmare to deal with these people. If you are behind they will use every tactic in the book to try to embarrass or getting a hold of you. They have called neighbors and other people i work with. The have called and threaten my parents and they have called my ex wife's family (2 years after I divorced her and she was never on the loan). I have attempted to pay off chunks of my principle (one payment was 10K) only to have it applied to interest. I finally decided on October 1st that I was going to try to work with HUD and see if I could refinance through the program that Bush signed into law on June 30 2008. HUD was very helpful but GreenTree was not. Since the program is voluntary by the lender they decided to do their own loan mod which would allow me to rent my own house from them for a year, but it would reduce the payments by more than half (4100 to 1800...yes i know it is a lot). They would not send paperwork and asked for 3000.00 before they did anything to my loan. I refused and decided it was at that time i decided to get a lawyer involved. So I hired a real estate lawyer and a general lawyer to fight them. I also decided that i could no longer could afford my home and stopped paying greentree anything. Since I have done this and since my lawyer has contacted them they have become unreachable via email or phone. My legal team has sent notices to the Michigan Attorney General and submitted a request for an investigation to the FHA and HUD into GreenTree's practices. I would also recommend to anyone that gets harrassing phone calls from them to record your conversations with them from now on. Tell them you are recording them and see how their attitude will change. I would recommend that if you are going to go head to head with them you retain legal advice and record every conversation and save every email.
