cancelled enrollment and company continued to debit my account
I cancelled my Great Fun account in September of 2008, then recently went through my bank statements and noticed I was still being charged the monthly enrollment fee. I called to cancel again, but because I did not have my cancellation code (I had thrown it away a few months ago), I was not refunded the amount I had been charged in the months after cancelling my account the first time. I am very upset that my money was taken without my consent and then not given back to me. I did not want to be enrolled anymore, and so I cancelled and considered it a done deal, but apparently the company kept my information and used it to sneak out the monthly enrollment fee. This company is very unprofessional, and I would think what they did to me is illegal as well.

Charged me for service I never approved
I was charged for this service, apparently last year, they tried to renew it again by sending me a postcard with nothing but their logo on it saying that it was automatically being renewed unless I called their number, 1-877-488-9480. When asked repeatedly what "Great Fun" was, they would not give me a direct answer. I had my daughter get on the phone and she was finally able to get an answer from them. I told them I never signed up for any service and want it canceled immediately.

Unauthorized cc charge
While viewing AMEX billing statement, noticed $11.00 charge paid to "Great Fun". Looked up "Great Fun" on internet and found many complaints regarding this company and related companies or branches, posting fraudulant unauthorized charges to credit cards. I called today(2/24/09) to dispute charge and inquire about service and cancel. I was told that I signed up for a travel club and was automatically enrolled in "Great Fun", and was sent a packet? The service was free for 30 days, and charges started after that period because I did not cancel?
I believe this was the first charge and was told there will be no further charges. How many millions of dollars have these people aquired in this manner?

Credit Card Fraud
My wife, a Green Card Holding Brazilian National, aspiring to be a US Citizen, is being assessed a $59.99 semi-annual membership fee by this company for services she never requested. She only became aware of this scurrilous scam when she innocently requested I explain to her the contents of an innocuous appearing index sized card sent by mail informing her that her semi-annual membership would be automatically renewed unless she informed the company otherwise.
I am still trying to discover which of her credit cards, on some of which she is only an "authorized user", she (or I) am being assessed this charge.
I would like to know which of "Great Fun" partnering companies sold my wife's name to this company, or how she became subscribed in the first place, and what can be none in the nature of complaint and recompense. The only two candidates are AMC Theatres or Loews Theatres, two Great Fun partnering companies from which she has made purchases.
She left corruption riddled South American only to discover legally endowed pernicious parasites such as Great Fun up here in the "Land of Opportunity".
How can we stop this?
Sincerely,
Marshall Curson

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES TO MY CREDIT CARD
Great Fun made charges of $12.99 to my credit card on several occassions without my authorization. They told me i checked a box on Hotwire to authorize the charge when i rented a car, which signed me up for $10-20.00 discounts. The only box i checked was agreeing to the terms @ Hotwire for a car rental. BEWARE, thought i was getting a great rate but got a hidden surprise (charge) instead. Will not use Hotwire again.

removed money from my acct no permission
priceline gave out my checking account number to some fun card place without my knowledge or permission what gives them the right to give out this info.i made a reservation for a hotel it had nothing to do with some fun card & they gave out personal info & this fun card place in conn Norwalk just removed $11.99 out of my checking account without me signing up or knowing anything about this. This is fraud & i will take this to the attorney General & better business bureau in the hopes they get fined because making a reservation about a motel has nothing to do with some fun card deal & price line brags about being a secure site & they do this someone must do something so this doesn't happen again & again Karen Howey

fradulent billing
Like so many others, this Great Fun company has fraudulently charged a monthly fee to my American Express Card. They have agreed to cancel the 'membership' which I did not sign up for, but I have to send a letter/fax to be credited the multiple charges to my credit card. These people/this company should be put out of business - and their credit rating should be less than 'unsatisfactory'. End of rant!

Unauthorized Charge
I saw a charge for $12.99 on my checking account and when I called Great Fun about it, they said that since I purchased something from MilesKimball.com I became a member of Great Fun...the sales rep said that I had received a $20 check from them (FALSE) and that I would save lots of money on shopping, dining and travel using the card. When you go to the Great Fun website, there is no way to just view the options they offer - you have to plug in your credit card number - FURTHERING THE SCAM!!! This is amazing to me. How do people dream up this stuff? I will never shop at MilesKimball.com again.
Oh, I supposedly had them "cancel my membership" (although I never authorized a membership in the first place, today. We'll see if that really happens.

unauthorized charges
How do these folks get your bank info?? This is so wrong. I think it may have been through a purchase I made with Chadwicks. I will never buy through Chadwicks again as they appear to be in cahoots with some sleezy companies.
