signing people up without their permission
I found a charge for $11.00 on my Capitol One card. I never contacted this company and have no idea how I was signed up for this service. When I attempted to resolve the issue, the person on the phone kept telling me about the "wonderful" aspects of the program. As politely as I could, I told her I did NOT want anything to do w/ the program, I wanted to get my money refunded, get my name off their list; discontinue any association w/ their program and never have anything to do w/ them again. I had to repeat this 3 times before I was switched to an automated voice recording that gave me a confirmation code for cancelation of this service and that stated "any refund I *might* be owed" would show up on my next statement. Wonderful.

unauthorized credit card charge
Was sent a post card informing me that charges for membership renewal would be made if I did not call to cancel. I have NEVER!! authorized this company to charge my credit card. How they got my credit card information remains a mistery. Please help.

Unauthorized charges
Was sent a postcard stating my credit card would automatically be charged for a membership renewal to Great Fun unless I called the provided number and canceled. I don't remember signing up for the membership so I decided to call and cancel. Received a automated runaround to a recording stating that due to the high volume of calls, my call could not be processed please try later. Tried several times and received the same result.
On Trilegiant's website they listed their affiliates and all their phone numbers. Called Great Fun directly and was able to cancel the membership that way. If you are experiencing the same problem, please try the route that I took for satisfaction. www.trilegiant.com
I am keeping my fingers crossed that the membership was actually canceled.

Rip off
I wish to file a claim against this company. I called them last month and requested that they cancel my subscription to their services. I was told that they would but it never happened. I have never had a use for their services such as saving at restaurants movie theaters etc. Because I don't eat out at restaurants or go to movie theaters. I have no use for their services.

I have tried 3 times to stop this charge and still it appears on my credit card every month. I want it STOPPED. NOW!!!!!
I called Great Fun 3 months in a row and asked them to discontinue this charge. Today I called my credit card. After being transferred to Great Fun I was again passed around to 3 "callers" (automatic operators), disconnected TWICE and I finally decided to write to Great Fun and see if that helped.
I want this charge stopped NOW and I want NO MORE CHARGES.

Received post card advising that Great Fun will debit my credit card ? for membership fee of $ 10.99 . My question is what membership ?? and YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD .

Credit Card Fraud
On Oct 19, 2007, I made a purchase from hotwire. Unlike some of the other complaints about this company, I did know that they charged my credit card for membership. If you called within one month to cancel, you would not be charged. I called them, explained that a popup came up and in order to continue I had to push some button. Once I pushed the button it told me I had purchased Great Fun! Well I could not go anywhere to complete my purchase on hotwire without pushing the button, so I did as I was ready to check out. I saved the receipt and called to cancel.
Today Oct 30th, I received a postcard stating that they were increasing my fees. I was shocked. So I call, finally they give me a supervisor since I mentioned all the fraudulent activity of their's reported on the internet. He wanted my cancellation number...yeah like I kept that after a year. So, he gave me 4 months back and cancelled my account...want to bet he didn't?
In order to get your money back you have to write a letter...yeah and then what? I think I will call my credit card company.
I think we need to stop this kind of fraud. If someone didn't do their job, they should realize this could happen. I never used their services and I am sure they can see that I didn't. Of course remember it is always the buyer's fault.
Great Fun has been sending me stuff in the mail and I toss it because I think it is advertising. Little did I know they were probably charging me to the hilt!
Watch out everyone. If you buy from hotwire, make sure you don't have an additional charge on your credit card from them and you won't recognize it, but there will be an 800 number to call. Make sure you call and cancel and make sure you hold on tight to that number!! Or they will charge you for nothing.

great fun card s wants to bill us if we dont cancle the free service but when the service is called i cant get through to cancel.

Membership fee scam
Also received the post card on 8/27/08 saying my membership fee would be increased unless I contacted them. I never subscribed to this company. When you call, a recording says that due to heavy volume they can't take the call, and then it hangs up.
