On Friday July 2, 2010, HIT charged my credit card $700 and informed me that a Design Expert would be in contact with me immediately to initiate the site design work. To date, I have received no such call (two weeks later). After contacting HIT on Monday July 12, 2010 to complain I was told that a Design Expert would contact me immediately. Still no such call.
In speaking with Andrew G. at HIT earlier today he stated that HIT would grant my request for a refund and would be issuing a check in the amount of $500. Andrew explained that you would be keeping $200 to cover cost, despite the fact that nothing had been done or delivered. He also explained that the refund would be mailed rather that credited to my charge card and the I would receive payment within several weeks. He further explained that your "Terms of Service" policy states that HIT is entitled to keep a portion of my deposit upon cancellation for any reason. When asked where I could find your TOS statement he sent me an email link which had not previously been provided to me.
After my call with Andrew G. I decided to research HIT further. Not surprisingly I found many similar complaints from paid clients, with one complaint almost identical to mine, occurring on the same day. Please see the following link.

It would seem that I should do a much better job of investigating companies in advance of payment.
I intend to continue to investigate my right with regard to a full refunded of my payment since absolutely nothing has been done by HIT. They just basically took money from me with providing any service at all.
