UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
I WAS CHARGED $72.21 FROM GOOGLE TREASURE CHEST AND I NEVER ONCE AUTHORIZED THE CHARGES. I WANT THIS FRAUDLENT CHARGE REMOVED FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT AND WANT THE MONEY RETURNED TO ME WITH NO PENALTY. I WILL BE CEASING ALL CONTACT WITH THIS COMPANY IMMEDIATELY. I AM DISPUTING THIS CHARGE WITH MY BANK AS AN UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE AGAINST MY ACCOUNT.

Fraudulent Charges/Scam
This company charges my credit card for $72.21even if I did not receive a kit. I ordered the kid online last march 25, 2009 for a fee of 1.97 for the shipping and handling of the kit. April 6, 2009 I called because I did not receive my kit and I spoke to an agent named Melanie that it was sent March 27, 2009 and I should allow sometime for it to be delivered like 7-10 business days. I have never heard nor receive any kit from them since then . I did not expect that they will charge me since Melanie told me that the trial period of 10 days will start when you receive the kit ( CD ) . I have not heard nor receive a kit and I have forgotten about it already just today while I was checking the charges in my credit card I saw a charge which I could not really identify. Called the bank and the person that the bank was talking to check for the charge was very rude and kept on saying that they cannot refund it cause its over the trial period and said that I cancelled it last april 4. At that time I did not recall anything and the line was cut. Tried checking my Log Book and true I called April 6 2009 for follow up which I mentioned earlier I was told by the agent named Melanie that I should wait for it to come. I never remember of cancellation. So I aclled the number given to me by the bank and the same story people are rude and insisting that i get charge yet they cannot prove to me that they sent me something by mail which. The agents are not known to the next agent when you call..they ghave a call center which is based in the Philippines and one agent said they are based in Costa Rica.
I was given different numbers to call and the last 2 agents told me that they will process the refund and I should see an email in the next 20 minutes ...Never happened.

Please help get this operation to an end as you can see there are already hundreds of us victimized here with just about the same complaint.

Let the perpetrators of this scam/fraud pay their dues.

Be happy to hear your positive response.

charge on VISA
I was charged $72.21 for the CD they sent. I was told I could send it back to an address in Utah and get a refund. I sent the CD back on May 12. I still have not received the refund even after calling again on June 15. I called today, July 10, and the number is now deactivated. Is there any way I can get the credit to my VISA?
Thank you for you help.

Fraud
Dishonest Google Treasure Chest guaranteed me that my $ 72.21 would be refunded if I chose to not use the product. I have tried 4 times to call them and have them credit my checking account. Each of the four different people told me that it would take 7 to 10 business days to get the credit on my account. I expressed my frustration the last 3 times and each agent told me that the previous person had not set up the credit properly.

Now it's been 3 months and no credit to my account. I just wanted to let you know that it's dangerous to give out your account numbers. I opened up a new checking account because of this and I reported fraud to my bank. The other checking account is just sitting there with a zero balance. I was going to close this account once I got the credit but now that's just a pipe dream.

Don't believe everything your told just because someone has a kind and convincing voice.

Google Treasure Chest has nothing to do with Google. I can't believe that Google can't stop them from using their name. It's what draws new customers into feeling a sense of trust with the name Google.

Unauthorized Recurring Charges
I'm yet another victim of what appears to be a widespread and outrageous Google scam. Going on line and googling 'Google Search' (how ironic is that?), I find that I'm not alone; there must be hundreds, maybe thousands of us who've been trapped in this nasty net.

In March 2009, in response to an online pop-up ad, I agreed to pay $1.97 for information on how to "earn money at home" using Google search. I received the CD 2-3 weeks later, and the expected $1.97 charge appeared on my next Visa statement. The initial charge showed no identifying merchant name or location but only a telephone number 'to call for refunds' -- which struck me as quite odd. I was traveling frequently around this time and thought no more about it until I was belatedly reviewing the following two months' statements and noticed on both a charge of $72.21, neither showing a merchant name or location and each with a different telephone number (1-866-957-0020 and 866-200-5473, respectively). I did not know what they were for and phoned the first number a couple of times over that weekend and found the office closed; I thought it very odd that the answering machine message did not identify the company, and in subsequent calls to any of the phone numbers shown on later statements -- even when they've been answered by a live person, no company name has ever been given. When I finally reached a live person, I was asked my address, and only then learned that the charge was for "Google Search Chest.'" I requested a refund of the two 72.21 charges and was told that the first charge (for April) was over 30 days old and therefore not refundable but that they would refund the May charge and cancel my "membership, " and that I would receive no further charges. However, I have not been credited for May and was charged again in June. In June, however, the fraud agency that oversees SRI Credit Union members' Visa activities became suspicious (this time the 72.21 charge originated in Cyprus -- in the Middle East) and phoned to alert me so I had an opportunity to refute it, and that Visa card was promptly cancelled.

My employer's Credit union has advised me to write a letter disputing the charges, which they will then pass on to Visa. Of course I'd like to recoup the money I've lost, but even more, I'd like to see that the sneaky perpetrators of this online outrage are stopped as soon as possible. Therefore, I urge everyone who's been caught up in this apparently massive fraud to notify their bank or credit card issuer of their experience immediately so that a cooperative investigation may be launched without delay.

Not as advertised
I committed the error of purchasing the Google Treasure Chest. I was charged $1.97 for the "package", $72.21 "membership - treasure chest", and $38.84 for "Safelock ID" When calling the number provided on their website I found it to be disconnected.

When researching how to get rid of this problem I found this website:
