SCAM-SCAM-SCAM...big time!!! I was charged $1.97 for this "free money making site"...there is no such animal. The slick misleading advertisement has you believe that you will be assisting companies in posting ad links and getting PAID VERY WELL...daily!! They are making money off you the moment you click on them. As I should have known, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...I found the site to have broken links all over, I also could not properly navigate through their "treasure chest". I notified my bank immediately, they cancelled the card, sent me a new card FedEx (no charge!), reversed the charge and filed a dispute with these bogus bozo's. I consider myself very fortunate to have not experienced the pain and losses as some other postings. AND, in light of all of this, I consider my bank the absolute best in the world...USAA Federal Savings Bank, they went above and beyond...and I am just an everyday "paycheck to paycheck" guy with $60 in my account until payday.

You sign up for their information on how to link URL's for Google and make money from home. The charge for this is $1.95. If you don't read the terms and conditions, however, you don't realize that they start billing you for access to their website at $72.21 per month, some ID Lock program for $19.95 per month and another program called "GrantSpring" for $14.95 per month. There is a number to call to cancel, but that only cancelled the website and ID Lock programs. I am still trying to cancel the "GrantSpring" program and can find no way to do it other than put a stop payment on my credit card.

Another lesson learned, the very fine print you don't see unless you scroll down to the bottom of the page. Coincidentally, all of the requested information is positioned to where you don't SEE this unless you scroll down. I copied and pasted this directly from the scam treasure chest site:

I've already posted the underhanded tactics of Google Treasure Chest. I looked closely at the differences between the REAL Google logo, and the one they use on their scam web site. Check it out.

ABSOLUTE SCAM. I checked my bank balance this morning to find a $72.21 charge. After scouring through my bills to make sure it wasn't something I incurred, I filed a fraudulent claim with my bank. I googled the info I had and came up with nothing. I then went to my mail box to see a disc from "Google Treasure Chest." I looked at the package and right away saw the "Sandy UT" address I saw online in my checking account.

KNOWING I was led to believe all I was to pay for was a shipping charge, I jumped back online and like the rest of you, my email to [email protected] was bounced back. I went to their web site http://www.googletreasurechest.com and got nowhere. You have to "sign in" to get ANY information - the last thing I want to do is "create a member account" only to get yet ANOTHER bogus charge.

I now have to wait until Monday to get a customer service rep on the phone. Meanwhile, this freaking charge has put my balance in the negative. I've been out of work for 9 months - this has been an absolute nightmare.

THEY ARE SHARKS AND SHOULD BE PUNISHED TO FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW. How heartless can you be????
