On April 24, 2008, my sisters and I reserved a Golden West car to
pick us up at Los Angeles Airport and take us to Disneyland. When we
arrived at the airport we called to be picked up and told the person
who took our call that there were 3 adults and we had 6 pieces of
luggage. When their Cadillac sedan arrived the driver got out and
started loading our luggage into the trunk.
One of my sisters had a portable oxygen condenser and we had 2 hand
bags. There wasn't enough room in the back seat for all three of us
and the driver was unable to fit all the luggage in the trunk.
There was a man sitting in the front passenger seat and when we asked
the driver about him we were told that he was the driver's "friend"
and that he was going to Disneyland with us. It was obvious that we
could not all fit in the car. The driver had no solution to the
problem so we told him to take our luggage out of the trunk. We
looked around and found a shuttle van that was able to take us to our
destination. If the driver's "friend" had not been in the car, we
would have had enough room for the three of us.
Needless to say we were very upset that Golden West did not make
suitable arrangements after we had made our reservations in advance.
