Terms are bogust - Beware!
I opened up my GE CareCredit line for convenience. It seemed like a great way budget my personal care needs. My first years experience was good. I paid off my balance within the promo period - no glitches. The following year all was going well until I decided to open my hardcopy bill two days ago (I pay electronically). They terminated my promotion period. Bastards! I pay on time each month and usually in advance most months except for last Sept. when my electronic payment bounced back from them (no explanation was given) so it settled 1 day late. I spoke with them on the phone at the time and was assured this would be forgiven and taken off my record. To get to the point, they never took it off my record and waited 5 months to cancel my promotion term. The notification they gave me was almost covert, using a special symbol that was hardly noticeable on my bill. After arguing with customer service I was so mad that I paid my balance +interest that very evening after hanging up. They basically owe me the lousy $500.00 they demanded I pay in interest on the remaining balance due. They can have the lousy $500.00. BEWARE of changing billing cycles and super discrete termination notices on hard copy bills (especially when you pay electronically). They are thieves and have lost this good customer. They make their money by screwing the cardholder and charging the providers member fees.

Fraudulant late fees and charges
This company will never be able to explain how a payment is received on time, or early in my situation, and they charge a late fee since the statement for the current month has not generated yet. They applied the payment to the balance yet because the payment was received early and not when the due date was set a late charge was placed on the account. They ask you to pay "on or before the due date", but not too early. Guess they just want to screw people out of money and ruuin their credit. They are in the business of crime, not lending.

GE was a bad move
When GE sent me my card in the mail they had miss spelled my last name. When I called them they told me that I had to send in documentation such as my DL to correct what they sent me. I asked why do I have to send anything when its my account and all I want is for them to correct an simple error. I was spoken to very rudely and her name was Mrs. Ryan Ohara employee # 1706. I wish now I never did open a card with GE and I would warn others to steer away from doing business with GE CareCredit.
