I recieved 2 charges for 43.71 on my Debit card on 3/04/2010. These are both fraudulent charges. I will report to my bank AND cyber crimes.

Like others on this site I got hit with fraudulent charges recently, I'm especially embarassed about being a victim as an IT professional with a security background, but serve as proof that it can happen to ANYBODY.

I registered on a "Verified By Visa" site for TCF Bank customers in December of 2008 (yes, over 2 years ago), but since I did it on my work PC it detected a "virus" associated with the program and deleted it before it had a chance to get my PIN#. A few months ago I received an email about the Verified By Visa program ending soon or expiring so I opened the phishing email, a few weeks later I got hit with the following charges on my checking account:

- APL*ITUNES 866-712-7753, CA
- ARCOT SYSTEMS, INC. SUNNYVALE, CA
- GALAXIA COMMUNICA 8589 SEOUL, KR

I'm not sure how elaborate this scam is but I'm sure TCF's Corporate Offices are aware that their customers have been duped for years and have done little to go after the criminals because it is cheaper to cover it via insurance at the expense of their customer's trust.

I will be filing a report with my police departments CyberCrimes division and using private resources to seek justice. Please note that I have the website included in the complaint. If you call 888-235-8761 on the "Contact Us" link a professional sounding customer service rep will IMMEDIATELY ask you for your TCF Card Number... these crooks are brazen and must be stopped.

There was an unauthorized charge to my account for $128.65. I need a telephone number so I can speak to this company directly and get this taken care of ASAP.

Not sure how this company got my card information but they did and kept withdrawing money until i was in debt. Can not contact them in anyway. Watch out fro this place!
