We are a partnership of independent Perfumers. We contracted with Evans Paper Box (Attn: Rick Kohn) to manufacture 1,000 boxes for our perfume line. The EXACT bottle dimensions were submitted, and confirmed, by Evans (Mr. Kohn) and approved as correct. The bottle sizes were acknowledged and the die was cut. Somehow, in the translation (on the manufacturer's end) the dimensions of the bottle became the actual dimensions of the box. We were presented with 1,000 ill-fitting boxes, too small. The perfume bottles go in (with a bit of force) but cannot be removed easily, you have to open the bottom flap and manually push the bottle out (using some force).

Evans' response to their error was to spend the same amount of money (less the die set up, a nominal amount) to have even more, new boxes made. They refused to acknowledge their error or take responsibility. Neither did they offer us a practical, equitable solution other than [us] trying to re-glue the box using the reverse dimensions (cannot be done). They were adamant that this error, though their fault, was not correctable unless we had new boxes made by them. This is not an acceptable solution to us, they should take more of an interest in correcting their error, their attitude was far from a professional one. Anyone considering having boxes made for anything, please heed this warning, you would do well to consider contracting with another company, this guy is a total jerk! Do NOT give your money to EVANS PAPER BOX. If I was closer, I'd visit him myself, in person. Beware of conducting business without obtaining credentials or testimonials first.
