UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
I was charged $14.95 for a Intelicom message fee by ESBI included in my phone bill by Embarq. I did not sign up for this nor did I approve it. I thought I was alone in this until I looked up the sight for ESBI.
I believe all telephone companies should block all third party charges. This my second. First was ILD Teleservices. Still fighting that one as well

unauthorized charges on my credit card
I opened my bill today and saw a charge from ESBI on behalf of Orbit Telecom. Neither my husband or I authorized any Orbit Telecom or any other company to charge or add services to our phone. Luckily I called Qwest and they put a third party block on my account.

Unauthorized billing
This company has charged me 3 months for services I did not authorize. It seems to be a scam ran by the company. I certainly hope they are stopped soon. It appears there is an issue with them stealing money from innocent people.

Charges on my phone bill
I did not order any e-mail through ESBI. I do not expect my phone bill to be charged. I live on a limited income of disability and can not afford extra things that I am not using.
I was charged $16.00 for something I did not even know I had. Is anyone going to reimburse me?
How can companies keep getting away with this? When Embarq supplies me with e-mail why would they let another company charge me?
They also let The Billing Resource charge me for voicemail that they also supply me with and that was another $16.84. What's up with that?

FRAUD
I just viewed my Verizon bill on line and was shocked to see charges from ESBI on my phone bill totalling 15.89. I have not authorized these charges, nor have I been contacted by this company. I do not have voicemail on my phone line and don't want it. HOW can a company go into your phone account and make these unwanted charges??? THIS IS FRAUD!! Watch your phone bills very closely. I have contacted Verizon and have requested that these charges be removed from my bill. I am waiting to hear back from them now. I just can't understand how something like this is allowed to happen!!! FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!

Fraudulent Charges
I noticed my phone bill this month was higher that normal, so I looked through the pages and found a charge for $14.95 (+.93) tax for a total of $15.88 - from ESBI for "Fax Service Monthly Fee."
So I called ESBI at 1-888-300-3724 and asked what this is for? The lady was nice and said it was for "enhanced network service." I told her it stated "Fax" service and that we don't even HAVE a fax machine!
I asked some questions and I was told that on 12-28-08 that they received a request online for this service from an email address that my husband hasn't had in years and they said they were given his mother's maiden name as such and such which was not even what it is! They gave the name as a shortened version of my husband's first name only. Of course, I did not give them any correct information.
This is what I told them:
1. I did not authorize this charge
2. It is fraudulent
3. I will not pay it
I was given a confirmation number and was told that it would be removed in 1-2 billing cycles. I told them as far as I was concerned, it was being removed immediately!
I called Embarq and told them how I was upset that they would let this get done, and they said unfortunately it is legal...some loophole in the law that goes back to the days when people could charge collect calls to their phone number. They said to deduct the total amount from my current phone bill and they would put ESBI's charges in dispute and that it would not affect my local phone service. The man at Embarq said that this happens all the time and that they deal with calls like mine hundreds of times at day. He did tell me to make sure that I kept the confirmation number and date I talked to ESBI.
I'll call Embarq and get a block on third-party charges.
I feel so sorry for the many people who have been/will be scammed by these people!
I don't know how the people who work at ESBI sleep at night, but I guess liars and thieves get used to it.

Online fraud
My name is Amanda and I am 18, I use the computer for multiple things. But when I woke up to find my mom yelling at me about a new unrecognized bill on our at&t account for $12.95 I was furious. I immediately picked up the phone to contact these people, I questioned them about this bill and where they found me.
They proceeded to tell me that I went to the internet site and signed up for the service. They asked me for my name and all of my information and within minutes I had the representative apologizing and reading me a cancellation conformation number, reassuring me the money will be refunded on the next at&t phone bill. But I wanted something so much more, I want justice.
I did my homework went to google and typed in ESBI, not even a minute later more than 35, 000 search results came up. I clicked on the first site saying specifically this... 'Bogus ESBI charges on Verizon phone bill **SCAM** - Topix.' After reading on an on about the numerous amount of individuals being 'scammed' I knew this was no mistake.
I continued to call ESBI back and say i do not wish to speak to anyone except a supervisor. After being on hold for 5 minutes or more a woman came on the phone saying who she was and asked what my problem was. I told her very clearly I was irate that some company can find me on the internet and not only have my information without me knowing, but speak for me and sign me up for this service, even to my own phone company who are supposed to be trustworthy.
I then called at&t and spoke to a representative to tell her my situation. She proceeded to say that she was sorry and that it wont happen again, I told her I understand your sorry but what kind of company allows this kind of stuff to go on and not to even try to contact me for a conformation before billing me? To put it in easy terms, she basically said well this company is not stupid they tell the phone company they have talked to you personally and said it was okay.
That was the last straw, this is only my first step to try to bring these people down. I have contacted a lawyer I have done my research on this company and found out I am only one out of a million victims. I wasn't going to file this report because I now do not trust putting any personal information over the internet, but i know my story can help victims in the future. If you are a victim from this company, do not sit back and let them keep scamming innocent people. It is fraud. They need to go to jail. They need to get shut down. This needs to stop. It might be only $20 but its not worth loosing your identity or risking that they might forward your information to other scam artists!!! Lets take them down!!!

phone bill
I have a charge from www.unitedtel.com on my phone bill, the charges came from ESBI.I did not have any idea who unitedtel was or who ESBI was untill I got this phone bill.I am disabled, I have a lifeline phone installed with a block on long distance calling. I do not understand how some company I never heard of can just get ESBI to bill me when it is fraud. ESBI should have to account for allowing such activity. I know, anything to make a buck. I don't like being a victum. I want something done

Unauthorized billing
After reading all previous comments about Integretel and ESBI companies, I felt a little better. I immediately sent 2 online complaints to the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Div. I will call Qwest right away on Tuesday and order a block on third party billing and block all future long distance calls. It ticks me off that Qwest lets them piggy back on their customer's phone bill and then we have to pay to have the service blocked. GO FIGURE! If Qwest is aware of their illegitimate business practices, shame on them for providing it anyway.
