I received an e-mail from Emperors Palace (EP) on 31 July 2009 regarding some research that they were conducting. The e-mail stated that the “first 500 people to complete the survey” would receive “a complimentary one night's stay for two people (sharing) at the Peermont Mondior Hotel”. I completed the survey within 3 hours from receiving it. I also told a colleague of mine to do the survey as I know she is a regular visitor to EP and would have received the same e-mail. My colleague completed the survey the following day. She recently received an SMS stating that she had been awarded the 1-night stay. I have received nothing. Can you please explain how your “first to complete, first to be awarded” competition works? Do you first collect all the entries and then see which of the respondents have responded favourably or which of the respondents have spent the most at your casino? Although I responded quite quickly, I did not respond that favourably and I’m not a big spender at your casino. Anyway, you will probably say that you sent an SMS but it “got lost”. Funny thing, I receive all your other SMSes advertising your weekly competitions.
