On August 9th of 2007 after EarthLink reps came to our office to tell us that the new WI-FI service was now up & working in the city of Anaheim I placed an order for their service. They said they would be shipping out a modem needed to use their service. I should receive it in 7-10 days. Around August 28 after never receiving their modem I called back & to my surprise yes they found my order but never sent the modem. They issued a new order & I was told they would send it out next day mail at no charge. I was excited & pleased. Well I received the modem installed it only to find no signal at my house. Since then I have had nothing but trouble with EarthLink. I have spoke with there Tech support no less than 10 times trying to resolve this issue. They assured me no bill until the service was working. They have claimed several times someone will be in touch with me within 48 hours to address all my issues. 4 weeks & several long phone calls later I’m still waiting .Today is Sept 30th & I have received a bill for $118.62 for the WI-FI service I am not receiving(?). After speaking to 2 supervisors in customer service they have verbally agreed to remove & cancel my account. EXCEPT for the $40 delivery charge for the modem that they agreed not to charge me for in the first place. I am currently on hold via phone & have been for over 35 minutes to get this resolved but I’m getting no where.
Oh you will never be able to reach someone in this country to speak to. No US phone #’s.
My suggestion is DO NOT SIGN UP FOR WI-FI IN ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA!
Kevin.
