I called to inquire about a room reservation over Memorial Day weekend. I was told I could be put on a cancellation list and asked for my credit card number, which I reluctantly gave them. The very next day I booked another hotel and called to be removed from the cancellation list. They said fine. Three weeks later I get billed on my credit card for a $200.00 room. I promptly called and they proceeded to tell me that I did reserve a room, which I never did. They refused to remove the charge, even though I repeatedly stated that WE DID NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL!! We NEVER had a reservation. I perservered and continued to call them to ask for a refund. Finally the General Manager, Christine Geist, said she would issue me a refund for half and when I said no, I want the entire charge removed, she agreed so very rudely and hung up on me. I knew she probably wasn't going to remove the charge and she hasn't. Now I will have my credit card company dispute the charge. The employees at that hotel were very rude and very defensive. This isn't over as far as I am concerned, as it is the principle of the matter now. I have filed a formal complaint with their headquarters and they will be looking into this further. I have stayed in alot of hotels and this is the first time I ever had any problems.
