Large company that wants to scam me for no reason
I also recieved the same note on my receipt and wasted my time looking for the website that does not exist. Very frustrating, makes me not want to do business with a large company that wants to scam me for no reason.

What $10.00 off ? What coupon? Dicks is just pulling my !@#$... STOP IT. It ain't worth the $10.00 LIE, Dicks can have the receipts back.

Awful business practices
I too made a purchase and was told to fill out an online survey to receive a $10 off coupon for a future. I followed the directions on my receipt to the tee and got a bunch of websites - none of which connected me the store where I could complete the survey and receive my $10 off coupon. Poor design. I do shop at Dick's stores but have often come home with mismatched clothing. So, I only go there as a last resort.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous how horrible you consumers are to representatives dickssportinggoods.com. The people who answer the phone calls are just doing their jobs. They did not lose your package, they did not ship you the incorrect package, and they certainly did not write the rules on why certain items can not be discounted. Learn some respect. How would you like it if someone called you up at your job and yelled at you for something you had nothing to do with.

It's very upsetting to pay so much for something that doesn't work period
I purchased a floor model Rod Hockey table from Dick's which they gave me a 10% discount on. What they didn't tell me is all the parts weren't there. After calling them and asking them if I could come back to pick up the manual, adapter and pucks. Of course the response after checking was they didn't have them. They told me to call Sportscraft that they would send me all the parts. So, I did just that they sent the adapter but the pucks were on backorder for 4 months. I finally got them and we were all excited to use the table but it didn't turn on and score board didn't work so they sent me a new one. Still didn't work. We found that a little black box underneath that wires were disconnected and told them but they didn't have a replacement part for that but would check how to reconnect them. NEVER heard back from them and of course the year warranty ran out and that's probably why. So, we have this table and never got to use it and spent $300+ for it. WRONG! It was a gift for our son to boot. The only reason we bought the floor model is no one had any in stock and it was a Christmas gift. If anyone has any ideas please contact me @ [email protected]. It's very upsetting to pay so much for something that doesn't work period. The store was in Reading, Pa.

I too was given the website to complete the survey in 48 hours. I would if I could find it!!!

$10.00 Coupon on next purchase
2/22/2010 I was instructed by the cashier and he (Curtis) even highlighted my reciept about doing the feedback survey within 48 hours...I can't find the webpage to do the feedback survey, much less get a $10.00 coupon on next purchase. There won't be a next purchase after this!!!

Customer Service Needs Inprovement
I went on a Sunday with my kids to get baseball cleats, baseball pants and batting gloves for my son. I also took my daughter to get her a new pair of running shoes. After we found what we needed we went to the check out where we approached the counter. I put my things on the counter and gave the cashier my "coaches coupons". This is a progrm Dicks does for the coaches. Well little did I know or look at the coupon but its not good for anything. After alls said and done I got $3 of of $125 worth on merchandise.

Back to the customer service issue. I was never greeted and when I tried to ask questions about the coupons she just kept saying they want work on that. I told her I guess they just weren't good for anything in the store and she said I guess not. I crumbled the coupons and set them in front of her. I gave her the money to pay for the products I bought and she would not put the change in my hand. She laid the change on the counter then walked off. I told her to call the store manager. She called over the intercom and said a manager was needed at customer service. The young guy walked up, shook my hand then I told him my issue. While talking to him I noticed he did not have anyhthing on telling me who he was nor anything to idenify that he worked at the store. He then made the statement that the coupons were only good for the cheap stuff in the store.

I can say "Thanks Dicks Sporting Goods for looking out for the teams and coaches in the community, we thanks you for the worthless coupons"! I will make one promise and that is I will never step foot in a Dick's again nor will my family.

False advertising
***'s Sporting Goods uses misleading wording in their advertised specials.

The ad says "buy one - get one" elsewhere it says "50% off". This led me to believe that if I bought one I would get the second one free which would be a savings of 50%.

Why do they not word their ad to say buy one - get another one ( or second one ) for half price, which is what the cashier and the store manager told me that is what the ad meant ?

The wording was not continuous between buy one - get one and 50% off.

The manager was very rude and curt when he talked down to me.

I won't say I will never shop there, but I will never trust their ads .

As for the managers attitude, I think that came from the fact that I was not the only one complaining about the advertised special.

Unpaid employee
I finshed working at Dicks Sporting goods on August 1 and it is now almost December and I still have not received my last paycheck. I stopped working due to a move and they have told me on THREE separate occassions that they are mailing a new check. Now my messages to managers go unanswered and I just spent 15 minutes on hold and the manager never took my call. I hope corporate shows more responsibilty in answering my messages, but we'll see. And as a former employee I witnessed many of the issues described below and it was rather upsetting.
