Customer service
I've already complained about DHL's stellar delivery service. Now I take the time to speak out on behalf of their customer service. I'll make this short. Simply put, DHL doesn't care. The local numbers here are not bothering to pick up. The toll free number I called simply had a message with a number to call then hung up. That number had a recording stating that DHL will not be offering pick up or delivery service until some time into the new year. All I wanted was to talk to a local representative and failed. Figured I wouldn't have to bother with such a thing, but the person I spoke to a couple of days ago promised me that I'd recieve my package by now. Did he possibly lie just to get me off the phone and off his back? That's rhetorical. Of course he did and I suspect mutiple times that day.
Of even less help was the email response that answered only one of my many questions. I asked for their definition of "Next Day" shipping. According to DHL 3:00pm 1 day after order. That's nice to know and all yet the question I asked that I most eagerly wanted answered was whether or not I can talk to someone locally that would help. No answer. Figures.
Happy New years everyone and I hope all your wishes and packages are delivered. Preferably before the next new year. . . .

Incompetence
It's no secret that DHL has one of if not the worst track record of shipping services. I made the mistake of using thier company for shipping from an online site that offered free next day shipping with DHL. Figuring I could save a few bucks and still have days to wrap it for X-mas gifts I did so. Suffice it to say the package did not arrive the next day. In fact a few days later it has still yet to arrive. I've watched the tracking of my packages and the interesting thing is that every day they change the expected date of arrival another day forward. Five whole pounds may in fact be the weight limit that cannot be exceeded for prompt delivery. Or I figure that "next day" for DHL implies "weeks later". For fun try complaining to DHL about a problem. I have yet to get any responses. Reckon I'm not nearly important enough for them to care.
Yes I have learned from this. I will NEVER use DHL again and I would rather pay significantly more with other companies to insure that I actually get my merchandise. I reccomend Fed-EX, UPS, USPS, carrier pigeon, tying package to rock and throwing in general direction of destination, or using sheer psychic willpower as more reliable methods of delivery.

MY SHIPMENT NEVER BEEN DELIVER TO ME
PARESL SEND TO ME TROU DHL...NEVER I RECIVED IT...GOT IN CONTACT WITH DHL SAID THEY DELIVER IT TO THE WRONG PERSON PARSEL NEVER RECOVER BACK...NO ANSWER ...FOND OUT IAM NOT THE ONLY PERSON HAPPEN TO HIM THAT ...PEPOLE WORKING IN DHL NOT HONIST OR TUDTWORTY PEOPLE TILL TODAY I NEVER GOT THE PARSEL OR EVEN A SORRY LETTER...I THOUGHT DHL IS INTERNATIONAL COMPANY...IAM WRONG THEY ARE A SCOM

bad and late transfere
every time i recived a shipment from any country in a super way of delivery by DHL from any place within 2 or 3 days it is kept in the in the wear house in the QATAR branch for dayyss and did not delivere it to my place despite that they call me to take the address for delivery... and when i call them they transfere me to each other without any benifit and i hear them by phone that they have fights with each other ... and they tell me that they well solve the problem and they well call me .. but, they are not calling, , and put their phone in the answer machine and not call again ..
i think that persons who are working in the branch in QATAR not doing their job very well

shipping errors, bad customer service
Do not use DHL for any time sensitive deliveries!!! I paid $17 for next day shipping on an order I needed for my finals week of my last semester of school. I used DHL's online tracking information which told me my package would arrive Dec. 9. After it did not arrive on the 9th, I called DHL to find out why. The person I spoke to told me the package was held up but could not tell me why. He then assured me it would arrive later that day. When it did not arrive by 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 10, I called again. The person I spoke to this time sounded very annoyed and told me it would come that night. When the package did not come that night, I called again first thing in the morning on Dec. 11. Finally the person I spoke to was very helpful and I was able to get the package held at the DHL office so I could pick it up. The person even made sure to get my phone number and had someone at the office call me to confirm the pick-up. Although the office was difficult to find, I had no other problems picking up the package on my own. Yet, it is absolutely ridiculous that next day shipping takes three days and three phone calls! I will never use DHL again!

Worst Services

about 10 days ago.. I bought some collectable cards through ebay...
through different sellers from United States and Canada.. and one of them are sending the cards through DHL and the rest through regular post...
the funny thing is they all came about 8 days after my ordero...
All of them arrived fine except DHL only left a message said that item was undeclared,
ooooook... so I rang them and told them it's actually collectable cards rather than gifts stated on the package, so they will deliver today
AND, WOW, I waked up around 7am this morning and waited waited waited waited waited and waited and waited then waited
yes, I have live, I am browsing internet while I was waiting
it was raining the whole morning and I didn't go out to check my mailbox and around 11:45am the rain stopped, so I walked out and check the mail box to see
IF THE DRIVER LEFT THE DELIVERY ON THE GROUND OR ON THE MAIL BOX OR OUTSIDE OF MY GARAGE DOOR OR IN THE RAIN(well.. it was raining)
and... I got supprised that I only got a note said "Unsuccessful Delivery At Tempt"
wow.. it's so amazing!!!
so I rang the DHL office "OLD Eagle Farm" site number : 07-3845 7777
and a women answered, I gave her the Air Waybill number and she told me Driver's record I am not home,
so I told her I was waiting for this delivery, how could I miss it?
and she become un-patiented and say it's driver's record that I am not home ( oh? If I wasn't home who the hell is ringing you right now?!?!)
after I hang up.. I was thinking.. I need to make compliant so I looked through DHL's main site, and founds out they don't have anything regards customer services ...
wow.. so I googled it...

and I found heaps of interesting DHL stories about people
and I am Happy that I am not the WORST one!!! LOL!!!
this is not the first time about the evil DHL service... same thing happened to my books before.. they were delivered by DHL but the driver just left it at door step. and when I found out I just "oh.. it's DHL again"
I might try make compliant through ACCC and see if they would give better service

Lost Shipment
lost my pkg and refuse to contact shipper to process my lost item, fully expect me to do all of the work. My items was purchaed online and is paid for and I cannot get either DHL or AT&T (where I purchaed my cell phone) to do anything to helo me recover my item or get anoterh phone! I am out the money because of their screw up?!

worst service on earth!
I've never been served by a company with such a low efficiency!
I bought a book on the web, and they came when i was not in, they left a note to me.
I called them and rearranged the delievery date, then i was waiting from 9 to 5 on Thursday, but they didn't come...
I called again they said they've tried to delieve twice! I rearranged another Thursday, i was waiting from 9 to 5 once again! Still didn't see them turning up!
I am so angry with that! Because they always act like this, the same thing happened to my friend!
She called DHL to collect her laptop, same to me, she was waiting for at least twice, the just didn't come!
This company is such a rubbish!

Should be your last choice
I ordered a product that was shipped by DHL. A delivery notice was left on my door with a contact phone number. I called on two separate occasions and was promised that it would be delivered the "next business day." That was today. When it didn't arrive by 5:00 EST, I called and was told that "it will not be delivered today." I find this to be totally irresponsible and DHL failed to provide the customer service they advertise. If you need something delivered reliably and on time, it is my opinion that DHL should be the last service choice!

Awful experience
First day, i checked the tracking record on the DHL website and it showed my speakers were to be delivered that day. So i canceled an appointment and waited for the speaker set at home until 3pm when i got a DHL Shipment Notification by email. It told me they delivered to my place but nobody was at home; i discovered that the driver went to my neighbor's place and left a notice on their door since THEY were not at home. So I phoned DHL immediately and told them they went to wrong place and they said they could not contact the driver but left message for the driver about this event ; the rep. could not do anything more even she admitted a mistake and said she would get back to me. But NO ONE called and the day ended. I could not believe how poorly they managed this. It sounded as if nobody knew anything and they didn't do anything to correct the mistake.
In the morning of the second day, I phoned DHL for more details, as no one yet had called. The person told me they could not know anything until 11am and could not determine where the shipment was and when it would be delivered. After 11 am, I phoned again they told me the "Same" driver would PROBABLY deliver it around the same time but they could not confirm the time since again the driver was unreachable; furthermore the clerk confirmed that the driver knew about the previous day's mistake. It was quite frustrating that I waited for something but I didn't know when they would come a second day in a row; I could not go anywhere because they said they would not call me by phone or anything before they come. So I therefore stayed home again. Much to my surprise, I received a DHL Shipment Notification by email. It was "Shipment delivered". It was NOT delivered at my address; in disbelief, I went outside my house and checked in case the package was placed at the door. Nothing was there so i phoned DHL again for this problem. They told me somebody signed it for me and took my package. (The signed was just some dusk point) I don't know what happen and what i could do because DHL could not help me the only thing that they could do was leave a message to the driver again. My shipment was either lost or stolen but DHL could not help me because they could not communicate with the driver and ask what's going on. I asked to speak to a manager but to no avail. Again i was to be called back. No one called back.
Please don't use DHL, if The driver know the package is worst few cent. The driver will steal it for themselves.
