Terrible service!
In the past 6 weeks I have received 3 parcels delivered by DHL. One parcel came from Germany and because there was nobody at home it was dropped over a 5ft fence onto concrete. The parcel contained a large pottery vase and the outside of the carton said GLASS on every side. The other 2 parcels were posted in England and contained large pottery lamps both were left on the doorstep in cartons that looked as if they had been run over by a fork lift truck. Needless to say all 3 items were smashed to pieces DHL don't want to know either in England or in Germany or though I have to say if some moron in England throws a large parcel over a 5ft fence and smashes the contents I wouldn't want to know either having sent it safely all the way to our shores.

No delivery!
First time they deliver a package to the right address wrong street signature required lucky I have honest neighbor who found it unsigned for on his doorstep. Tracking said delivered and signed for. Next would not deliver w/o apt # sender faxed me copy DHL forgot to put # on bill for driver. Now DHL first disavowed knowledge of tracking # then admitted they delivered it somewhere but nowhere near me yet they have my correct address. first phone call.big runaround with a promise to call back in less than 2hrs 3.5 hrs no call. called same ROR promise to call back 30 mins 1.5 hrs later call back Closed for the night. SORRY SORRY SCREW YOU is all I got from DHL. Thats big business today they don't care. USE UPS or even USPS.

Inefficient & poor service!
Really disappointed with DHL in Western Canada. They are very inefficient and disorganized. I am still waiting for a package to be delivered. Their driver has been sitting on it for 4 days, as he cannot find my house. I have given them directions, told them to get a map, look up on google etc, but they still cannot find it. I have made 7 phone calls, but still no package. Lets see if what happens now.

DHL did not hand deliver package in NYC
A box sent to our office to my attention never arrived. The tracking receipt shows "LD LOF" in the signed for area which we are told means that it was left by the front door. Ours is a small building with lots of security and every messenger knows that it is strictly forbidden to leave any packages unattended in front of any office doors. Additionally, there was no reason to leave the box by the door because our office was open for business at 10:13am on the day of the "supposed" delivery. Our request to talk to the actual messenger who delivered the package have gone ignored. We have reason to believe the messenger lost the package and have no clue where it is...

Terrible service
I called DHL to reschedule a delivery---the DHL rep kept me on hold 34 minutes and was very rude. I emailed the corporate office and confirm that my package will be redelivered 2/1/08 AM *but no guarantee it will be early morning. The corporate rep suggested that I call that morning to check the status of my package. Once I called I was informed that per my "request" it was changed to PM delivery by the same rep I complained the prior day -- but It was not a personal issue. Also that their phone calls at the "station" are not recorded in order to review my "request". At the end I had DHL send the package back to the retailer **if not God only knew when I would get this package. The rep would have continue to change the delivery day & time.

Lost shipment!
I had scheduled a pick-up of two boxes for shipment to the University of Georgia on January 8. Even though I was home at the hour of pickup, no one from DHL arrived. I phoned customer service and heard their claim that the driver said that he had come to the house. I rescheduled it for the next evening. The driver arrived and took the two boxes. I asked him for a way bill to fill out. He said he did not have one but that they would phone me with the charges from the station. A half hour later someone phoned and asked how I was going to pay for the shipment. I gave them my credit card number. They replied that they would call back with the charge. The never did. I never received a way bill. The recipient has never received the shipment. It is simply missing with no documentation. I phoned DHL customer service a few days later and was told that this was strange and that I should phone some other day! What kind of response is this and what sort of disreputable company does business like this? I am assuming that my shipment of valuable copies of scholarly journals is simply lost.

Horrible service!
Monday January 14th I ordered an MP3 player from Dell, not noticing that DHL was the carrier for my package. I tracked the package Tuesday and it said it would be delivered on Wednesday. Well yesterday came and went with my husband staying at home waiting for the package. Well at about 5:30 p.m. I called DHL inquiring about what time my package would arrive. The lady put me on hold and contacted the driver. The driver said it would be no later then 6:00 p.m. that night. Well when 6:30 rolled around I called once again. The lady once again contacted the driver and the time went up to 7:00 p.m. At this time I was very agitated since I had now been waiting for 4 hours since I arrived home. At 7:10 I called AGAIN and a very rude lady checked into it and said "the truck had broken down." I informed her of what had happen and she informed me that this is what I got for having it shipped ground and that it would be here no later then 5:30 Thursday. Well once again 6:00 rolled around and I called and told the lady what had happen the previous day. She called the Memphis station and there was no answer but she said she thought it should be here no later then 7:00 since this is what time they closed. 8:00 came around and I called and this time spoke to a supervisor. I once again explained what was going on and she filled out a complaint form and sent it to the Memphis station. She personally guaranteed the packaged will be here tomorrow between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00. So I guess we will see what happens tomorrow.

On a separate note we ordered something and this company also shipped through DHL. I was in the kitchen and we have a door to our carport in the kitchen. I saw the man pull up and was drying my hands. Then I saw him leaving whenever I hadn't even heard a knock. I looked outside and he left it laying on the back step. This is what I have come to expect from DHL. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Unnecessary slow delivery!
I purchased an item from an e-tailer. They shipped package on January 10 from Tennessee. I reached DHL's Riverside, CA warehouse on the 13. A total of four days for 2000 miles. DHL moved package to Los Angeles warehouse on the 14th. Then on the 15th, they either moved it to another Los Angeles warehouse or shifted the package within the same warehouse. Finally on the evening of the 15th, they claim the package is ready for delivery. I assume this means it will be put on a truck for delivery on the 16th. The last 60 miles took three days. My package sat around their warehouse for no apparent reason for over 24 hours.

DHL STEALS PACKAGES

DHL IS THEFT!!! I shipped my Gibson Guitar via DHL on 12-04-2007. Their driver came to pick it up but the weird thing was he took my guitar and left nothing for me to track and left. I called their costumer service to find out where is the guitar. GUE

I called their costumer service to find out where is the guitar. GUESS WHAT, THE DRIVER REPORTED that he DID NOT PICK UP ANYTHING!! could you believe that!?

Then I called everyday to their CS service, and their representative always says: Oh, there will be somebody call you back in an hour..." BUT NO ONE REALLY CALLED ME BACK!!

The most ridiculous part is everytime they would tell me without the "TRACKING NUMBER" , they could not do anything about it. WTF, the driver just did NOT give me one!!

IS not it a simple logic problem?


Ok, then i still keep calling and emailing them. Someday, a guy named KEITH replied:

OK. good news isn't it?

THen i faxed my claim form to their claim department. No response AT ALL.

SO I call the claim department. Very funny, they told me without the TRACKING NUMBER, they will just throw away my claim form.

WTF, then I explain this whole thing again.

But the guy is like a machine and repeating:"i am sorry, without a waybill number, theres nothing i can do. Please contact our costumer service".

I was so upset and i emailed to the KEITH guy who sent the claim form for me. I asked him to help me explain this issue to their claim department. here is what he replied:

DHL non delivery and theft!
I contacted O2 about upgrading my contract on my mobile phone and getting a new phone after being with O2 for several years. I upgraded and was to receive a new O2 XDA pda phone in the post the following day. I received several E mails from O2 confirming the dispatch of the phone to DHL. I was given a tracking number to track the delivery and thus checked as to when this would delivered. I am a teacher so i requested the phone be delivered to the school where i could be summonsed by the Office staff to sign for my new phone. Upon looking at the tracking I found it telling me the item had been delivered and signed for by a Mr Taylor. I looked in the office and asked the office staff if anyone had seen or signed for a parcel from DHL. No one had. The head teacher of the school is Mr K Taylor. and this is written on the school sign however On the day of the delivery Mr Taylor was absent after an operation. The courier DHL told me it had been signed for by Mr Taylor and they had his signature, something impossible as he was not in school and had not be once I had spoken to him. DHL say they are investigating but cannot do much now hey have a signature. This is a joke as O2 May not replace the phone on the strength that it was signed for. What a rip off. If you want a new phone, do yourself a favor and avoid delivery, go t a shop.
