Cheating customers
Cheating customers on delivery and stock.
Damro furniture’s has done this to several times. First time it was before the wedding, I have purchased a mattress from them and they promised to deliver within 2 weeks, but took 6 weeks and first 2 weeks after marriage I had to sleep on...
Next before move to new house I purchased all the house hold items (Sofa, dining table, Chairs, wardrobe...) every item before purchase I checked for stock and purchased only the items stock available, but unfortunately even after payment settling they did not hold the stock, so when the promised delivery date comes they kept on delaying, I had to stay in a motel for few days due to this reason.

So please consider these facts before you purchase some thing from Damro.

Proofs are available such as billed and delivered dates scan copies with signatures.

Selling of Substandard, Unsafe Product
Despite selling Substandard, Unsafe Products, Damro had resorted flat out lieing and misleading customers in order to stop honouring the guarantee.

I purchased a PIYESTRA chair for around SL Rupees 700. The rear legs broke after only 3 hours of usage. When I wanted to pay an additional amount ans exchange it to another chair that looked sturdier, they refused and replaced the chair after much haggling.

After that I didn't use the chair because it was unsafe and I was out of the country.

Upon my return I used the chair for a few hours and again it broke from the 2 rear legs. Since it was still under warranty and I had the receipt, I took the chair for a replacement but to my dismay found that PIYESTR had closed the Negombo showroom. Upon inquiry from the adjoining bank, I discoverd that the people who worked for Piyestra had been sent to Damro, and that both brands are owned by the same group of companies.

When I visited Damro showroom in Negombo and spoke to the Manager, he denied any knowledge of the affiliation between Damro and Piyestra and refused to replace the broken chair, which was under warranty.

Upon some investigation online, I discovered that both companies are owned by the same group of companies. It is shameful how the Manager flat out lied to get off from replacing a broken chair under warranty.

These are not safe chairs in the first place. I recommend that buyers beware of Damro's lieing tactics to avoid replacing a less than $7 plastic chair.
