Rip off
This company is BULL SH*T!! I put $80 on a account and they say only 73.20 would go on my account giving me 4 calls 15 min each. I agreed to that but now every time my boyfriend calls me it goes through and you hear the "thanks for using correctional billing services" then i hear it click over and right when it does it clicks back and say "thanks for using correctional billing services" again!! And now i find out that they've been charging me for those calls all this time $5.68 for each min. and the whole minute was used listening to the lady tell me that the call may be monitored. I was PISSED so i just closed my account and got my money back i refuse to go broke over that sh*t a letter is going to have to do for now.

outrageous pricing
I have a brother in a correctional facility. I had set up an account with Correctional Billing Services so my brother could call me. At the time I could only afford $20.00. The Lady said that if I was to add more money to my account later that the minium payment would need to be $50.00. I called to add $50.00 to my account and now I'm in the negative with them and it cost additional $6.95 to process the payment. If you make a payment for $20.00 only, how do you go over? They block your phone after money is spent, once again, how do you go over? If you already have an account, why do you need to keep paying a processing fee? Why are we paying the outrageous prices for inmates to call when our tax dollars are already paying for them to be there?

money stolen from credit card after I call this company to put money in account for my son to call from jail
this is the second time I call correctional billing services and put money $100.00 dollars, so my son can call me from jail and never hapened, every time he tried to call it didn't go thru, when I tried to call the company is either busy or once they told me that wasn't the right place to call.Please help me, I have proof is all in my bank statements and this has to stop.I don, t have extra money to give away to a company that obviously is not giving any service to me.

They are thieves
I have paid cbs with my checking account so that I have double back up if needed my bank could be my back up!!! Well they have taken a double payment out of my account and have not placed the money on the phone and refuse to listen and consistently keep telling me they never received my payment at all!!! I faxed them a copy of my bank statement and if that wasn’t the perfect proof they still deny it they show no record of this extra payment they talk to you like your stupid and always are trying to rip you off!!! I think if we all band together and file a class action lawsuit on them we will all win and finally they will be the ones suffering!!!

Scammers
I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my concerns with how this company is scamming people. After 2 weeks I terminated my services due to ridiculous charges that were added to my account and not to mention the numerous dropped calls that were still being billed to my account. I received a bill from my local service provider on fri. Which stated that I owed CBS $31.00 then on mon. I assumed that I was accepting a normal call from my loved one when, once I heard his voice the call was interrupted by their system. I was then informed by an automatic system that my line had a block on it due to being over my $300 limit.

Problems
Cbs blocked my line for 27 cents. Took me 2 days of calls to find out why. Turns out, they sent me a bill for12dollars and 53 cents in Jan., I paid it, and they gave me a credit of 9 and 97-noone can tell me WHYI got a credit. They kept subtracting ea. call, and when I went into the red, they blocked me. Had to send 'em 9 and 28 to unblock, even though balance was 7 and 51. It WILL happen again, since they don't notify you of credits OR balances. Problem seems to be T-Netix who came into this company AGAIN.

Angry customer
Correctional Billings Services is a total rip off. I just read another similar complaint. I have a pre-paid account with them, they charged my credit card and there is still a block on my phone. After numerous calls to cust. Service and being told 24 more hrs. I am finally at my wits end. Don't anyone ever use this company as they are not customer friendly and they take your money and don't provide you with any service. I will be filing a legal complaint against this company! As I write this, I have been on hold for over 20 minutes waiting for yet another supervisor.

Bad service
My fiancé is in jail and I have already been out of 200 dollars for phone calls in a month through Correctional Billing. On 2 different occasions in a 2 day period I was told that I had successfully set up a Direct Billing account with them. So I come home and my line is blocked. I call them and now they are saying I don’t qualify for Direct Billing. So now I can’t get in touch with my loved one. This is Bull ***, they need to have better service. There has to be help somewhere out there!!! Please help!!!

says we owe and we don't
Correctional billing contacted us to set up account. we gave them our credit card number and they deducted $106.00. we used there sevices for a short time, then we were done using, they called and said we had a balance owing to us of about $20.00. Later, we received bill for $13.22. Twice I have notified them by mail. Even senting them our credit card statement showing where they had taken out the $106.00, and where we used $80.00 worth of services [they sent us statement showing this]. Both times we were completely ignored.

Bad service
I was pissed when the little 50.00 that correctional billing give for 3 months was up in 1 month, but realizing it might be something to that is the fact that I can understand that some people may not pay their bill and it misses up other people but at the same time I realize that it did help my bill not to be 50.00 each month. So I stated prepay and for a whole week or more I still have not been able to get calls through. Each day I call correction billing to see why I was not receiving calls and each day I was told something different and that the line was clear finally one operator told me it was blocked for 1.95 that really don't make no since at all to hold a phone up for that amount of money I think that is taking it a little to far.
